How much does Madhu Respect RK

Well actually coming to respect aspect... Madhu also never respected RK's sentiments, emotions, stance on an issue... Be it her dogged attempts in reinstating faith in Bappa, be it the KC, or be it reconciling with Radha... She always shoved it down him obtusely saying you're wrong and this is only right...
Yes, the end result of that disrespectful act always turned out to be good for RK; healing him, making him a better person, that everyone tends to ignore her disrespect in the first place...

Another huge disrespect was when she wore the saree that Dipzy(his ex) gave to her during the Mata rani pooja... Despite RK telling her to remove and wear another one of her own, she stubbornly refused to do it and she also asked him if it was bcoz it was Dipzy's... So somewhere she understood the reason yet chose to disrespect his feelings... She removed it only when he threatened to not let her go and participate in the pooja...

Even in Sultan's case, she never respected his parenting skills... That's another thing that SUltan got swayed away easily and let her dominate... But RK gave her a tough time and made her slog till he himself rightly felt that the moment has come to embrace things into his life...

Actually RK has always given into her in his own style but has made her work hard for it...

An aside : Respect is earned very hard in life... And there always has to be a give respect and take respect... All our  upbringing might be different and the situations we face in life shapes each one of us uniquely... So one must always respect other's views and opinions though it might be conflicting... You cannot shove it down on others ... Just saying for both Madhu and RK...

P.S: This post is not for justifying RK's disrespect towards Madhu or what-so-ever but this was just my observation on Madhu all these months...

but Zoya, she was not disrespecting him, she made him look at these issues from a different perspective..which was very much needed...before they fell in love (RK getting shot), it was a battle of ego between them..they were playing on each other weaknesses...both were acting stubborn willfully to irritate the other LOL She cud have taken his word on KC but the festival has sentimental value attached to it and women do it out of love and devotion...RK was right about women faking it but its not true for all women..Madhu kept the fast in full faith...we should not mock anybody's faith...they both were right in their places...

After RK confessed, she fully supported him , whether he was right or wrong...I didn't like him meddling too much in the matters of Malik household (pestering Malik and Padmini to marry), producing a movie for Trishna,  Madhu was also a bystander there , the methods were wrong, but the end result was good toh allz well that ends well LOL be it the love test, leaving everybody behind, Madhu stood by him...ab isse zyada respect bechari kya deti, she called him her God LOL

@bold 1: Charu, faith/trust in God is a very very  personal and touchy issue in my opinion... So i didn't like the disrespect there... It is my personal dislike...

@KC: I never stated anywhere that what she did was wrong... I do not blame her for any of her actions... It was her belief and she remained steadfast...

We are seeing all of it as only 3rd party and can also comment on it as 3rd party...
When one actually disrespects my feelings/ beliefs that I have held over the years that too insensitively, it hurts a lot even if that person might be doing it for my own good ... This is a real life thing... Am not talking for RK or Madhu...

@bold2: Very True... She accepted him with all his flaws... But she did try to shove radha down by not even looking into the past ki what transpired b/w the mother and son... She aasaani se told let go of the past and move on... There could have been better ways than pushing Radha down his throat... Well the makers didn't rehash their past and out of the blue Ma-Beta milaap came and hence we cannot debate about RK's hurt but  we will have to take his word saying that Radhaji's actions in the past had hurt him brutally... Anyways as you said all is well that ends well... Am happy with the way their r'ship has turned out

For me, what RK did for Malik's was undoing the wrong he had done to the family... He had defamed Malik-Padmini r'ship in the press conf and then he set it right by giving them back the societal respect... Yes, you can say that they did not ask for it but i saw it as a repentence for his deed  in the past and that too after witnessing their bonding...And coming to Trish, he had ruined her career and hence gave her the chance... So I didn't find anything bad there... Well each one has their own opinion:)

@lovetest, God: You're perfectly right.. I don't deny it at allThumbs Up She respected his decision to such an extent that the girl did not even ask where and why we have to leave...She was just happy to be with him in any corner of the world, jungle, mountain...

ITA with you Charu on the aspect that she tried to show him another perspective and till the time he didn't get convinced, he held onto his beliefs... Every situation can be basically looked from different planes and different conclusions can be drawn... Nothing is wrong and everything is right when viewed from various dimensions... It depends on which plane one is standing and assessing it..

If you see it from my point, putting me on the same pedestal as God, there is nothing more dumb and disrespectful than that. ROFL

It shows me clearly that you do not know where to draw the line.  If I hurt you, upset you, where would you go, to whom would you pray ? Why do you want to elevate me, and not let me remain human.

That's why Thumbs Up to ST&Crew for selling a love-obsession driven Crazy drama.  Here the plot is always started with wrong base and then slowly everything dismantled every thing around it.

Its really a commentary on Idealism and the Larger than Life appeal that Cinema projects to people. RK-MB love story is filmy with all that Rabba, Khuda, Khudai, Junoon, Jaan dedoonga/dedoongi kind of concepts.

Do you all know, I never watched till date, Dil - Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit one.  DId you listen to the crazy songs there...distasteful...Tell me how their love story is not different from RK and MB ?  Its all the same...CRAZY Stories. Oh! I did not watch even the Raja Hindustani movie. A rich heiress marrying this poor man Silly !! hey Bhagwan !!! That Cinema for us. And what is MEIEJ ? Superstar-Chawlgirl story.  LOL Dekh to rahe hain !! Maze se. LOL

What's interesting with MEIEJ, is they bring this commentary to our living rooms where people of all age groups can comment.

How Dickens like, How Thackeray like, How, Phanishwar Nath Renu types and how Munshi Premchand types.  Read this story Panchlight by Phanishwar Nath Renu. What a beautiful commentary it is. And yet you will see a lovestoru in the backdrop of the story around the Petromax Lantern used by the Panch of the Village.

While in school, there was this story, Love across the Salt Desert by K N Daruwalla and then there was this Khushwant Singh's story, The Mark of Vishnu. When watching MEIEJ, both kind of emotions are evoked as expressed by the writers in those stories.

Much of the displeasure in the forum and EDT is...people fail to step back and review what they see. All they have to say is...oh what did he do? Now Rishbala will not happen. Oh! what did she do ? Oh! How long I have to sit here for Rishbala to happen.  And new battlegroup comes like Sulbala Fans. Face Palm.

To hell with Rishbala...just see it as commentary on everyone...and you will understand the character dynamics.  Rishbala is just the skeletal framework.  It was not for no reason that old soaps like Hum Log, Buniyaad and even Mahabharat became famous.  Love story cannot run in isolation. Its needs opposition and support to flow along.

And love stories should be discussed aaram se, poetically, but here we discuss as if someone just kicked us from behind and we shoot off like the horse spurred by the rider. LOL
