Episode 231 Discussion: 28th March 2013

"You are not Aryan's mother" Says Who?  Says Padmini to Madhu.

Events of the Episode
Sultan, Madhu, Kaaka and Aryan escape the goons. Madhu hides them in Roma's Apt (to be revealed in the middle of the episode). Madhu reaches home and effectively silences Trishna and her mom by cutting them off when they ask of her where she went. She mentions she is hungry. Padmini feeds her. When Trishna and Padmini attempt to make a conversation of where she went, about Sultan and where is Aryan, Madhu keeps avoiding their questions and gets up from the table. Trishna wants to go to Roma's Apt to practice her script. Madhu pleads her not to go. Later into night Madhu takes food and milk downstairs to offer to Sultan. Trishna follows her and is aghast to see Sultan there. Madhu requests Trishna to avoid telling their mother. As Trishna agrees, Padmini walks in. Understands what's going on. She is upset and goes to their Apt in anger. When Trishna and Madhu walk in, Padmini chides Madhu into repeatedly breaking her trust and acting crazy in emotion. She tells Madhu that she is not Aryan's mother to be so overly concerned about the kid. She also Madhu she cannot start helping people at random and if she knows anything else about Sultan, other than the fact he is father of Aryan and if she has forgotten that Sultan is a gangster. Sultan who has followed them intervenes and his side of story where new information is that Sultan does not have a surname, doesn't know his father, whose mother died when he was 8 and that his wife does nkt live with him anymore. That he came from Dubai to settle some old scores. That he shall leave from Chawl at the first opportunity and that he is indebted to her daughter Madhu for saving his life.

Episode Reviews.

Mine-SD - Take1
First my cringing at the lack of hygenic sense.

Madhu is in the same clothes since last 36 hours, been working herself in surgery, cooking, shopping, escaping, running etc etc...and yet she comes to the table and eats her supper in same clothes. And did Padmini not smell her clothes ? May be tiny-meeny bit of sweat and blood ?!!!

**********************
Padmini - Expected. That is just a viewer respite enacted to make the viewer feel better. But Padmini is powerless before Haulon Se Veer Madhu.  Sooner than later, Madhu will be back in business of generating drama. She is ofcourse the plot and Padmini has to support Madhu's madness. Let me remind you.

During Mukund Track...Padmini reprimanded Madhu. Asked her, point-blank...if she feels anything for Mukund which may have become the reason for her "seva-giri" of Mukund. Madhu at that time looked all confused. Then later Padmini said, Mukund would be a good match for her and she can say yes to Mukund.

In RK track...Padmini asked Madhu not to be afraid of RK and break away all hold and later she advised her daughter to become full-fledged wife. At various stages Padmini gave her support and strength to Madhu.

In current track, Padmini has reprimanded Madhu and informed Madhu that she is not the mother of the kid. So guess what, get ready to hear Padmini sooner than later advising Madhu to become the mother as the Child needs one and Madhu loves the kid too.

****************
Today, I was not upset by RK's forced shot over the screen. That was just a reminder to viewers that RK is not dead and he is alive. So that confusing scene of him recalling  Madhu + Sultan + Himself + Sultan...and we don't know why he is gritting his teeth...may he now recalls that Sultan is a gangster.

Pre-cap
They also forcefully reminded Madhu that RK still exists through that poster. That shot showed us that Madhu has completely forgotten about Superstar RK. She got scared and yet she advanced to see something...what will she see ? Bhujang's men or RK's men or Sultan leaving ?

***************
Madhu looks hurt that her mother told her that she is not the mother of the kid. Atleast in Mukund track, Madhu looked confused at what her mom insinuated. Now clearly she is hurt that she cannot be mother to Aryan.

Madhu...kya maajhra hai ? Kya chal raha hai tumhaare dimaag mein ? Ab toh batao yaar ??? Its been too much keeping secrets since 6th March. Why that kid has become so obsessively dear to you ? Kuch toh khulaasa karo ?!!!!  Or you want us viewers to stalk you like RK in getting the answer from you..."Aakhir kya lagta hai Aryan tumhaara ?"

****************
Episode Take 2
After watching EP 231, I had only idea stamped on my mind.

When Sultan will try to leave Chawl with Ayran and Kaaka, how Madhu will folllow them and say, "Leave Aryan here with me as its not safe for him to be with you."

Imagine the expressions Sultan might give.

It would be heights of craziness...but this is where it is headed.  Its very clear that Madhu is heading for nervous breakdown. Something close to her heart was snatched and now she is trying to snatch something from someone for something that makes her heart work.

She is being unreasonable and she would have to actually cry relentlessly for Sultan taking Aryan away and at the same time her family support her to cry out her pain...Until she cries her hearts-fill, she will not be reasonable.  Hope Madhu gets to cry...and not just act strong with that nerve-wrecking facade of hers.

She has tried to move on in a way that is only being detrimental to her.  But will the viewers perceive this ?

So now.. Sultan, aryan, kaka are in the middle and madhu is alone on one side supporting them and everyone else padmini, trishna,rk and us viewers everyone is on the other side against her.. we r expecting this track to end on a disastrous note with madhu's idiotic behavior to put her family or herself or rk in some big danger... I am telling u this is NOT going to happen.. She herself may well fall in some danger but the track is not going to culminate with madhu being proved as an utter fool for helping aryan, sultan... Based on my experience of watching all idiotic indian tv shows when i was younger and stupider... the writers wil vindicate madhu at the end.. whether viewers admit the contrived and convoluted way they will do this or not she wil be vindicated.. so at the end all the character in the serial who were against her wil bow down to her and hail madhu the angel.. this is what happens in EVERY show.. they have shown her recently being fooled by rk for good 6 months.. they r not going to again show her trust a wrong man..
My guess is... madhu will be fall in some mortal danger due to bhujang or something else. sultan may repay his karz by saving her... rk's ugly stalking behavior may directly or indirectly harm her.. atleast it wont help her... I think she may even be mortally injured.. that is when maybe it wil hit rk... so this track might end with RK's realisation and admitting to himself tat he loves madhu.. so his ugly behavior might continue till then and he may even sink lower and hit his lowest when the end of track nears.. that is why i couldnt enjoy padmini's BBB of madhu bcos she was just voicing what we al say...
I hope I am wrong.. and writers indeed show madhu made a mistake... I am willing to chant houslon se veer if needed..

Precap: I think its not RK down the stairs but madhu wil go and talk to sultan and it will be sultan's dukhbhari ram kahani tomorrow? Then why emphasize RK's poster soo much??? Jo baat sultan aur madhu mein nahin wo RK ki tasveer mein bhi hain

Minu, You have voiced my thoughts. That's what I felt.

Plus, I will also add that...more and more Sulbala will happen, so that Madhu can realize if she actually loved/loves/hates RK.

Those two bolded portions...Superb. [Clapping]

And Yes, I too want answers to why she loved rk, if she stil loves/hates him.. or was everything borne out of sympathy..

Minu, i fully agree with you...[Clapping] Soundarya pointed out the same in META discussion that in BV, at the end of every track, Anandi comes out to be mahan and rest everyone a duffer...i just hope this is not repeated with Madhu bec. where will this lead her to??? association with Sultan i mean?? at most Sultan will be reformed and they will be married? that's a distant possibility but does she really have a future with Sultan? as long as they don't turn the story around and develop it as a tribute to Monica bedi or Mandakini. Sultan will only complicate RK Madhu equation (if police and Bhujang forget that Sultan is alive)...RK will be further catalyst in it..uska dimag jo kharab hai..Madhu will dig a deeper grave for herself meanwhile in reaction to RK's foolishness... lets watch out who comes out of this loop first..

I dont know where her association with sultan wil lead... if the CVs dont know how to get themselves out of the mess they r in then there is always sultan dying saving madhu and then madhu can actually become aryan's mom.. bcos otherwise will they take the route of sultubala?? the trps are already declining.. do the makers have the guts to go all the way with that couple???

What i am thinking is... If in coming episodes if they show RK more and more suspecting madhu to be carrying on an affair with sultan and even voices that to her then it maybe sure there wont be anything between the 2.. just madhu sudrofying him and sultan indebted to her fr all that she has done for them.. they have to make RK look that much more guilty for even suspecting madhu mata's intentions..

i have reached a state where I DONT want rk-madhu for a long time now.. If at al they get back together  it shud be without the baggage of 1st revenge, 2nd revenge, 40 laks contract etc etc... Only of they WANT to be with each other and no... i trusted u even if u betrayed me conflicts every now and then...

I can't identify with the current Madhu one bit. The brave girl who reported a superstar to the police for drunk driving and an accident is now harbouring a gangster (who either killed or maimed many people right in front of her in the jungle) in her home, all because she loves his cute son...??!!!

You know i was watching that first meeting between Rk-Madhu on the bridge today morning. Madhu's charactcer and words ring soo hollow... She now doesnt give a  damn that sultan is a criminal and CVs are taking Aryan's excuse to justify her doing this.. her immediate sme aryan ki koi galati nahin hai"when trishna comes... How lame... then.. when she sent RK  to jail... tab radhaji ki galati thi kya? when mukund's family was willing to close the case she didnt let them... she was hell bent on punishing RK... I have never much liked madhu.. even though i have never condoned what RK did with her... i usually never relate to tv heroines.. but the current madhu is unbearablle...

On the other hand wasnt that scene fantastic.. RK's non verbal reactions to her bhashan is sooo hilarious... what a way to tai tai phus her bhashan baazi.. the way he says "continue" and idiot madhu.. what does she do?? obviously "continues"her speech

When Sultan will try to leave Chawl with Ayran and Kaaka, how Madhu will folllow them and say, "Leave Aryan here with me as its not safe for him to be with you."

Whats scaring me is that this is very very possible. Madhu shows all the signs of really doing this. I am imagining her expression while saying this.

I understand this is how she has chosen to move on which is not really moving on actually.. But her obsession or fixation with a 5 year old even if its motherly makes me uncomfortable. I dont think padmini or anyone can do anything right now to curb this obsession.. That will only make madhu rebelllious.. But I just dont like it..

Because this obsession is so unhealthy I want to writers to prove madhu wrong here unlike other serials where always the heroine is proved right. for all her pretense at good intentions she is not doing this for aryan's good. thats only an excuse.

Agree with you Minu_8 over the add-points towards plot construct.

I am mentally giving a new name to this upcoming track in April.

"The Custody Battle for Aryan" - between Sultan and Madhu.

Episode 226 Discussion: 22nd March 2013

Sultan shot by Bhujang in a set-up encounter, Aryan and Kaaka come to Madhu all tensed.

Events of the Episode
As the Crew has out for international outdoor location, Madhu cannot join them as she does not have Visa. She is okay searching for other odd-jobs when she gets out of work.
Action Sequence scene. Better to be watched. Good one to seen. Sultan gets to know that he has been ambushed by Bhujang. His son's voice was used to scare him and also he had been fed information purposefully so that he walks into the trap. Sultan shoots down Bhujang's men, Bhujang shoots Sultan on the left shoulder and Sultan sets afire to drug cartons, thus destroying the moolah.
Meanwhile, Kaaka all tensed up waiting for Sultan, finally decides that he needs to go on search for Sultan. So he drops Aryan at Madhu's place and beseeches her to take care of  Aryan. Padmini makes Aloo ke parathe and Madhu feeds him. Aryan expresses his apprehensions that Sultan might not return like his Dad's friend who never returned. Madhu feels for Aryan.

Episode Reviews
By Myself
al bin Machli, Nritya Bin Bijli
The dialogue used by Bhujang Shastri...it was a 1971 film by Shantaram
I liked the action sequence. Neat and clean even for soap format. Got a little filmy feel.
I was jubilant when Sultan set afire to the drug cartons.  All moolah gone for Bhujang...His plan too failed ...what if he shot Sultan.  God!! no one wins these days !  kahaan gaye woh din...Jeet aur Haar were easy to see :)))

Actually entire episode was good and gripping. Liked it.  And just as I imagined...Madhu got sucked in.  It happens...Madhu gave them too much to lean on...proved her trustworthiness as well...In Mobworlds.,...how does one form association ? Trust...and that's it...soon it becomes one big family. Bhai, Behan, Kaka, Baba...these are the names people get...and go on...  Madhu got sucked in...not much if you ask me...Chawl to underworld...not a big journey...if you see with realistic eyes.

The only thing that I did not like was .,...when Madhu...said, I will find some other work...as in there are so many industries, where employment goes on contractual basis. Its hustiling life...how difficult it  must feel to keep watching out for work...but then probably the hustled income in this way is little better than salaried income and so that's why people are able to live on...anyways...Life of Junior artists or workers in general...Labour Force as they are called...Another kind of life.

Now that I have read so much on mobsters...the role of politicians, businessmen and film-industry in their breeding...and at which point the Civic Administration, Government, Law and Enforcement takes actions on these mobsters...I have now my head teeming with questions with regards to how Rishabh Kundra would treat a Don.

SRK and AB are Superstars.  However, I believe they will naturally fear the Underworld DON, be it Dawood Ibrahim or Chota Rajan or the Gawli's...because these people can simply kill you.

Coming to Rishabh Kundra The Filmi Superstar of our Soap World.

I would like to know what he thinks of Underworld. Does he fear them at all ? Or in his arrogance and pride of Superstar Status, he just ignores them ? Or he is alone without any baggage, so does not care what happens to his life?

In October, when Bittuji was telling him that Sultan is making extortion calls, Rishabh Kundra asked him to make a complaint to Police.

The other day, when Sultan said "Mumbai ka Sultan" ; Rishabh Kundra even in the sozzled state, was like...What history is speaking about...as in which ancient king or ruler he is...it was like in Rishabh Kundra's present dictionary, there is nothing called Big Brother Fear.

Under this context...how would Rishabh Kundra react when he gets to know that Sultan is a gangster ? Will he get angry? Will he be disgusted ? Will he fear ? And of course I am myself confused about all these emotions, whether they will be for him or for others ?

Since he is not personally involved with gangsters, he need not be emotional. But Sultan has been kind to him...so will Rishabh Kundra also have a softness for him ? or him being a gangster will make him animated ?

Since Madhu is involved with Sultan the gangster, will Rishabh Kundra be emotional ? Again...what reaction will be elicited out of Rishabh Kundra, vis-a-vis his concern for Madhu and him being pardoned/saved/helped by Sultan.

I think we will have rollercoaster of emotional toss again. Because...IMO, naturally speaking, Rishabh Kundra would have abhorred any kind of association with gangsters and he would have involved Police.  But now things are complex and murky for him on account of Madhu and also on account of his feelings.

Earlier I was excited for Rishabh Kundra - Sultan Face-Off.  Now I don't think I am excited...because...it looks ugly and complicated from all angles.

MB sirf teen cheezon se chalti hai...entertainment, entertainment, entertainment...usme action, emotion, drama ka tadka laga diya tho hit episode hai. Sorry was that overly cheerful, trying too hard to manage without the pagal couple in the same frame?
Gang war: Am trying to think, were there any such gangster scenes in TV serials? Shooting in a real location has its own charm. Though i was a bit distracted with people ambling on the beach a little further away from the scene of action. Careless editing.
So Aryan's voice was the trap laid for Sultan. Lots of shooting happened, finally Bhujang gets a hit at Sultan. Sultan hero ishtyle fights valiantly, burns up all the drugs, and falls into the water, leaving behind a shocked Bhujang and gang.
Madhu leaves work, still low and depressed. Bittuji runs to her and tells her the crew is leaving abroad. She tells him she does'nt have a passport, he feels awkward to tell her, that the producer will be getting a different crew,. She tells him...he's worked with Rk for so many years and still does'nt know to lie. Basically she is jobless. Yess...CVs thank you! Finally she is out of that hairdressers job.
At Sultan's house, Kaka is making enquiries about Sultan, Aryan refuses to eat.
At the chawl, Paddy offers to massage her hair and without thinking says people will swoon over her long hair. Madhu recollects RK staring at her while she combed her long hair...many eons ago (Awww), and is quite clear she does'nt want anyone swooning over her hair. BTW, I can understand Madhu not wanting to get into another relationship, but how could she presume Trishna will also stay with them forever without getting married ???
Knock knock, who's there...Madhu's emotional Achilles Heel, Aryan and Kaka...with a lovely name, Niranjan. (Khamakha Charu, unka naam Ramu rakh diya)
Kaka leaves Aryan with Madhu and goes off to look for Sultan. Paddy and Madhu distract Aryan and keep him busy. But he is a sher ka bachcha, remembers that his father is missing and starts crying to madhu.
So was the episode a hit or not...i think it is a semi hit or a sleeper hit.... ...some good moments: Sultan burning the drugs, Aryan-madhu-paddy bonding, Aryan's worry.

Bhujang is the next best thing after Balraj to have happened to this show. Almost 95% of the time, he has this maddening smile on his face, almost like Balraj, but may be not as psychotic as him. Bhujang is more cautious and plans ahead. This was an ambush and Sultan walked right into it without any kind of backup. It was a dumb move. Saying absurd things like "Raaste ne agar sun liya ke tune Sultan ka raasta roka hai to raasta apne aap mere liye raasta chhod dega"  in a hoarse, flat voice won't get him any points. Whereas Bhujang's word play were more charismatic and gripping. Perhaps Sultan should learn a point or ten from the following guidebook http://www.chaosmatrix.org/library/humor/evilovl.html (The Top 100 Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord).

The action sequences were slow and maybe not top notch but had this nostalgic feeling to them, like some old Amitabh Bachhan action movies or the action movies of that era. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it also. Sultan didn't waste a single bullet, each and everyone hit someone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't soaking the drugs in diesel alone have destroyed them? Maybe he couldn't get them all. Or maybe burning them up was more theatrical. But when he shot the stash, he too was standing in a puddle of diesel, it was bound to light him up too. Well putting my logics aside, the latest on Sultan is, he was shot and fell into the water and is yet not discovered.

Half my incentive to watch today's episode or write something about today I think went away with RK to the outdoor shoot. But then I felt way less agitated about today. Didn't pay much attention to Madhu's scenes in the studio and chawl. I registered only couple of things -

  • Did Madhu get a new hair color or highlights? Her bangs had almost pink accents in them.
  • Kaka's name is Niranjan.
  • Like mother like daughter. But then again, who can throw out a 5 year old kid.
  • Felt like they are stretching the scenes with talks about benefits of oiling your hair.
  • Omnipresent Bhavika - I see her everywhere.
  • RK's presence thanks to the flashbacks.
  • The kid playing Aryan is talented.
  • and that I'm craving Aloo Parantha.

I was saying this to Zorica and Zoya...offline mode.

Think about it...Remove superstar RK from the scene, this could be Madhu's life, hustling between jobs, thinking about survival & occasional overlaps with underworld...that's how Shamsher could so easily get the pistol to shoot RK...it was so easy to procure for him.
I never mentioned this, but I like Aryan calling Madhu as "Madhu". So natural in that part of the world. And yes I did mention that I like it when the boy calls his father as Sultan.

The episode today...with its stuffed boats and that dockyard, made me remember the boats, steamers and ships around that I saw in the Arabian Sea when I visited Mumbai in 2001. I see so many cargo ships on the east river side here in NY-Manhattan. No comparison...All of this made want to read on Dharavi...which used to be the largest slum in Mumbai previously...now overtaken by others...I am gonna read on them tonight.
Back in Delhi...as 1980s to 1990s...used to walk to school in the New Delhi Gole Market area...in that constituency too...slums existed. I used to pass by three slums sandwiched between Govt Qtrs...and we always used to wonder...how they could be organized...the streets in between...the TVs, the radios visible from those tiny rooms and antenna's atop their hutments...Strange.
**************************
remember Jack of Titanic...the painter who gets the ticket to be on Titanic through gamble win ???!!!! What shall I call him...he would have been a chawl-wala...right ?!!

But again...we have so many good Hindi movies, where people make their good stories out of Chawls.

Very Naturalistic Episode it was today...naturalistic images it invokes in my mind.

They are not , I know many in my former it company who lived in chawls Ij mumbai . There are many middle class families who stay in chawls in Pune and by no means they can come into contact to underworld.
Sorry if I misunderstood

arm,
No. They both are separate. That's why I added those lines in my ramble...I have those thoughts going on ...but also wanted to tell you that I understand the demarcations.

The underworld mostly operates out of slums...easy to operate from there. And chawl to underbelly...is not too far...if one happens to be unemployed for long and contacts develop.

Sorry...I did not want to offend anyone. But what I wanted to tell you that...there are so many classes that exist...I seem to be sitting in a sociology class...its not bad as it seems...its economics.

Episode was decent - even though I had to force myself initially to watch it...
Bhujang looked good.  Loved his neck and finger bling.   Boats looked good.  Sultan looked ok.  Cocaine looked bad.  Good thing Sultan disposed of it in a flamingly dramatic way. Sultan getting shot by Bhujan - I knew that he should have brought those outriders on this trip - but apparently he only takes them on windshield vandalizing operations and suchlike.
The war between Bhujang-Sultan is likely to get very very ugly in the future - that was a serious amount of cocaine that Sultan destroyed.   And it's going to drag all the bystanders (Madhu and RK) in.
So Madhu is yet again out of a job.   Felt bad, especially when taken with what she said to RK yesterday about poor people and needing money,
Padmini wants to massage oil in Madhu's hair.  Madhu remembers RK admiring her beautiful baal -  she has not moved on.
Sad and heartbreaking that the only person Niranjan kaka could think of trusting little Aryan with was Madhu  - someone they've met only two - three times.  Sweet bonding between Madhu, Aryan and Padmini.
Aryan was so adorable,  missing and fearful for his Dad.   Tugged at my heartstrings.  Madhu comforting him.  Feels like not only will Aryan grow more and more dependent on Madhu, but so too will Madhu (esp. in her fragile emotional state) grow dependent on this little kid.
Kaka still hasn't found Sultan, looks Aryan is going to be with Madhu for a bit.
PS:
Dear RK,  Come home soon. Miss you loads...Am barely hanging in there...XOXO

Finally, watched the episode.

Nothing much to talk about the action sequence. Not my genre. But SV was good in his bad man act. AR has a weird voice and might I add, very unimpressive dialogue delivery. The 'rasta something something' dialogue had me in splits and that surely was not the kind of response it should have invoked.

Aryan stole the show. He is such a cute and sweet baccha. He is like a new ray of hope, in the otherwise dark and gloomy life of Madhu post break-up. Both of them are going to grow equally dependent on one another.

Sultan has no chance against RK, when it comes to Madhu's love. But its pretty clear, if and when RK decides to win Madhu back, his opponent will be the 5 year old Aryan, not Sultan.

Thanks Sima.
After the Haji Mastan article...I just googled for Mumbai gangsters and their celebrity life.  Wow!!! What a celebrity life they have.

Now this is for those who live in Bangalore.  Underworld started with M.P.Jayaraj, Rivalled by Kotwal Ramachandra, teamed by Don Oil Kumar, before sophisticated (he brought guns into the business, through calling people from Mumbai) Muthappa Rai took over. Now this Muthappa Rai not only manages real estate, has now gone over to Silver screen as well.

Must read article for Bangloreans.

Episode 225 Discussion: 21st March 2013

Rishabh Kundra's Two Eyed Man gets a name-Sultan.  Bhujang dares and traps Sultan

Events of the Episode
  1. RK forces Madhu to give away the name of the man in her life. She says No and reminds him he has no right to know. RK yells that She is his Biwi and Madhu reminds him that she is his Ex-Biwi per his drama. RK forcefully takes her into the studio, asks everyone to leave and then starts asking her to tell him. He tries to frighten her by switching off lights one by one...Madhu frustrated with his madness, reveals that the man's name is Sultan and that there is no relationship between Sultan and her and that she had just saved his kid. RK is stunned and pieces his memory from previous night and how he was saved by Sultan. He reveals all that to Madhu and tells her that he could have been killed and yet was spared by Sultan. RK reaches home and packs a bag for him. He informs Radhaji and Bittuji that he is flying abroad for a shoot. [RK looks shame-faced and disturbed and speaks incoherent dialogues].
  2. Sultan is carrying on with his mob-business. He is extortioning a man. Phone rings and he is informed that Bhujang Shastri, his rival is indulging in the forbidden trade which is drugs. He goes on solitary basis to counter Bhujang. Bhujang threatens Sultan that he has Sultan'son. Sultan panics and is searching for his son. Episode ends.
Before watching the episode...was highly apprehensive. So resorted to tweeting Sourabh Tewari

>>>>>Let me entertain you all...I tweeted ST this morning like crazy...because I was feeling so low.  Read them.:)) I expressed my thanks to him now.
    1. @saurabhtewari76 Atleast in drunken night scene RK accepted his pain and accepted that madhu can hate him&said Theekh hai.Now why not accept

    2. @saurabhtewari76 Not sure how much pain I can take.Just wish RK becomes man enuf 2 retreat from Madhu. Call it quits&retain his dignity

    3. @saurabhtewari76 #MEIEJ, It has been painful to watch from 8th March&yet I stick to show to provide support to RK as he needs that support.

    4. @saurabhtewari76 RKLovers will be unable to watch his downward spiral like this..wish he suffers in dignity&not thru this kind of behaviour

    5. @saurabhtewari76 The more RK is with Madhu& insinuates her with her assumed Aaashique, the more pain RK will go thru later for hurting Madhu.

    6. @saurabhtewari76 #MEIEJ-Hopefully today is his last session with Madhu and after getting Sultan's name he stays away from her.

    7. @saurabhtewari76 #MEIEJ-He knows his revenge plan failed. He is hurt. Can he just move on pls.Need his dignity back even if it is his defeat

    8. @saurabhtewari76 #MEIEJ-Wish that RK also becomes man enuf to own up to his loss and pain as his own-making and retreats from Madhu.

    9. @saurabhtewari76 #MEIEJ Understand that in this realization track RK needs to know pain of rejection and unreciprocated love like Madhu.
After watching the Episode - Episode Reviews
Myself
Chalo...a big relief for me. The end of fights with RK's flying away abroad for few days. Big respite.

RK's ka moonh kitna chota pad gaya tha...
RK Bechaara ! sharm ke bhoj ka maara, inhe Cinkaara pilao  (those who do not know it was Javed Jaffrey ad for Hamdard's Cinkaara Energy Tonic)
RK was giving out dialogues to Bittuji that were totally meaningless. Everything went over my head.

And so RK and Madhu's fight regarding Sultan has all been recorded in the movie reel ? What will happen to that part  now ?

Bhujang and Sultan fight sequence started.
Bhujang's Deewar copy dialogue ...Aur Mere Paas Meri Maa bhi hai...Besharam kahin ka"
And another dialogue to Sultan "Apni Dhwani neechi karo nahin to bete ki (ya apni) Akaashvaani kaise sunoge ?" God !!! Wasn't I using Akaashvaani just yesterday. What's happening??? Meri Hindi itni badhiya hai...Seems so

Siddharth Vasudev, who is playing (Bhujang Shastri) is really good, young and good dialogue delivery.

From last two days, the sound recording/dubbing for MEIEJ has gone for a toss. Seems the budget was reduced or payment not provided by Production house to Sound Mixing team. Pathetic Quality. I was struggling to understand the dialogues.

An aside: I have a feeling that ST and his Crew enjoy shooting for MEIEJ...because they get to plan these action sequences with comic interludes. How hilarious it must have been for them to plan the dolphin jump out of the water, the motor-cycle stunt for RK, and today Sultan's UNSECURED attempt to come and counter Bhujang...ofcourse the men in his team know its totally ridiculous to go without body guards...so they must just be laughing their lungs out first and then laboriously work at the scenes. As in ...a team which has to keep logic aside after initial laugh...or may be they get it...with limited resource availability to accomodate more people in the shoot.

Realized these things
  • Rishabh Kundra's obsession with Two-Eyed Man has ended. The Two Eyed man gets a name as Sultan. And yet RK has not seen his face. RK does not know how he looks.
  • Rishabh Kundra does not concern himself with Sultan or remember him as a gangster, because, he considers himself big enough to concern himself with other big persons roaming around in Mumbai. That's what RK said in Oct..that "he is the tiger of Mumbai", who else can match him, when Bittuji was trying to warn him about Sultan.
  • I liked the moment when Rishabh Kundra's curiosity is quenched and he immediately pieces everything and shares with Madhu how Sultan saved him and then decides to leave..as in timeout for him. I liked how the dialogue writer gave incoherent dialogues to him to utter, that depicted his disturbed state of mind, his turmoil within and yet trying to hide it. Totally beautiful construct.
  • Madhu in anger lashed out two things for Rishabh Kundra 1) insecurities 2) sadist. Attribution of Sadism is correct, because RK did behave like that to her, he leaves her and yet not liking the fact that she moved on. In comparison, Sultan is in the business of killing for mercenary reasons, but definitely he is not a sadist, because he is not in the business of hurting people intentionally like RK for pleasure. This is true from Madhu's point of view.
  • From a viewer perspective, there's a difference. RK a supposedly honorable man, acts dishonorably and so a sadist. Whereas Sultan, a mobster and yet honorable enough not to seek vengeance on a man who seemed to be in pain under big misunderstanding when in his car in hurt condition.
  • Radhaji is spokesman of ST and CVs for the viewers respite and Madhu is actually the plotline for CVs to be revealed slowly and RK is the twist of the plot.
Madhu, Tell me who is he ? What is his name ?

Going back to the Dream, Recollecting Sultan and RK Meet......  The Dream versus The Reality
When Madhu said Insecurities yesterday, for some time, I was thinking...why did she say that...Then I realized ...RK against Sultan. In his dream...he was concerned for Madhu. He runs after her asking is she okay. And when she doesn't answer and sees her drawn to the two-eyed man, he senses danger and puts himself in between...the man draws a dagger and tries to go for killing him.    So basically RK imagined Madhu to be in danger, the two-eyed man to be a bad man and him getting killed if tried to go in between them.   But later when Madhu tells him that he is Sultan and she protected his kid and nothing is going in between them...RK just recollects his drunken state of previous night and remembers the Sultan...connects the two...He is crestfallen, shame-faced that he suspected that man to be a bad man...that he shall not stop to kill him...Infact the opposite happened...the man saved him.  His insecurity was if Madhu was in danger...but nope she was saving someone...and in turn that person was saving him...and in all of their ALTRUISTIC gestures, HE himself looked the only SOUL who needed to be saved. How bad was that for him...a REALITY hit hard...He was supposed to be inflicting pain on all and enjoy watching others in pain...and yet he was saved and his Madhu had emerged the stronger of the two, who he thought needed to be concerned about.   And what was he insecure about...losing his right over Madhu...his right to hurt her, no one else can hurt her...BUT now what is the reality...She is not his Madhu...He lost that right and moreover...who would want to hurt her except him...so why was he getting so insecure about that...It was pathetic situation for himself...and it was PATHOS all over with that realization that ...even his insecurity was about losing his right as a sadist.

Me too. Loved the actor, his dialogue delivery, his diction, his voice and style. Shuddh Hindi ka upyog karke apne shastri hone ka namoona pesh kiya...naam sakaar kar liya.
In comparison, AR does not have a good voice. He needs to improve. He was not sounding good even in the interviews.
