Episode 213 Discussion: 7th March 2013

Serious Sultan, Crazy Madhu, Zany RK, Adorable Aryan and Birth of AryanBala.

Events of the Episode
  1. Madhu pointing the gun at Sultan. The boy pushes her causing the misfire. The boy reaches out to the man (NE) [from yesterday's ED Summary if you recall] and hugs him. He asks Madhu not to shoot Sultan, his father. So...yes Madhu gets to know that the man's name is Sultan and the boy is his son and his name is Aryan.
  2. Madhu apologizes to Sultan and explains to him that she rescued the kid from the goons. Sultan informs her that he has set up his son to catch hold of the goons and that Madhu messed up his plan. Madhu is shocked that Sultan used his son as bait. She lectures him that it is not a good deed and that life is not a joke to play with handicapped kids.
  3. Sultan gets angry with Madhu for calling his kid "bechaara Apahij" [Poor physically challenged kid]. Warns her to not repeat and to go to her room. He also asks his son to go to his room. The old man pleads with Sultan that kid is frightened and its better if he allows his son to sleep with him. Sultan disagrees and orders his son to go and sleep in his room. 
  4. Madhu and the kid go their rooms. M hears the kid snivelling. M comes to his room, sees that kid is frightened and wet his bed. [Poor kid he had been sleeping so peacefully before Madhu woke him up. Sigh!] She helps him out, has him change his clothes, changes the bed sheets and puts him to bed with her hauson se Veer hoon chant.
  5. There at Chawl, Padmini, Trishna and Radhaji are chanting hauson se Veer hoon. Someone knocks their door. P opens the door to find it is RK. She is angry/disgusted to see him. Moves away. T comes and pushes RK out and lashes out at him that her sister is missing on account of him and that he could be the one who is responsible. RK defends himself saying if indeed that is case and that if Madhu is not to found, he will offer himself to her and she can do whatever she wishes with him.
  6. Next minute we hear Police sirens and RK walks down the steps. We see the Police jeep with the Inspector on patrol giving a report to RK that they are full on the case and that all exits/entrys from/into Mumbai are being monitored. RK throws his starry weight on the Inspector and asks him to find Madhu and report him the status at regular intervals.
  7. Episode ends with RK waiting at the Chawl-gate for Madhu's report. Yeah! he turned a watchman...sort of...

Episode Reviews

Pistol hai, Hair dryer Nahin - Ahaan !!! Clue mil gaya. The guy (Sultan) knows Madhu is a hairdresser!!!

Madhu - "You used your son as a bait ?!!" How dare you?!!! Child labour exploitation. Will Report to Human Rights Commission !!

Madhu the 22 year old - novice - will explain to Sultan - that life is not a joke. BLAH BLAH BLAH. I need cottonballs in ears to block the yap. Ughh! ran out of the stock.

Now why would Madhu the vocal; future UNICEF and Red Cross and Worldvisionindia activist call the boy..."Bechaara Apa..."  Pity you Madhu!!!  for that deadly slip of tongue.

Why is Madhu angry at Sultan for sending the boy to his room??? Oh! she must be the mother of the kid.

Oh!!! Talking of the mother. When will Madhu remember that she too has a mother, who might be panic stricken for her ?!!! I can only hope that from Selfish Self-Righteous SillyBala. Yeah!!! I got the viral infection. MM passed it to me yesterday with her figurative speeches.

Madhu now assumed the duties of nurse/governess. Yeah!!! She is not for temporary stay at Sultan's place, imagines permanent stay. So she wants to become governess of Aryan the Brave son of Sultan, who wets the bed. Full on timepass, away from Dips Bhatia and her boring taanes. She knows where is the candle. I thought she was going to get the pants for Aryan, now that Madhu knows everything about the place. 

See!! Didn't I tell you? She did find the shirt for the boy. She now sleeps with him...
LO !! Fear= Hauslon se Veen Hoon started. She is teaching Aryan now. After Radhaji, now its Aryan

Even then Madhu does not remember about Padmini...D'oh Taking mom's name and yet not even one thought how the mother must be raving mad about her.

Are waah!! RK comes to chawl. So soon!!! The misleading Promo!!!
It was interesting to watch the drama at the Chawl...so I cannot be sarcastic about it. 
RK and his dialogues...OMG!!! ROFL..."Koshish tab kariye, jab aapka koi apna laa pata ho jaaye."

God!!! what a comparison between RK and Sultan. RK is just bombastic and Sultan is too serious. I like the two men now !!!! 

RK ho gaya paagal...Police ko apni jaagir samajh liya. Chawl ke saamne chakkar kaat raha. Residents of Dadasaheb Phalke Chawl must be thinking ...better to stay away from Maliks and their crazy EX-Son-in-Law. Is he Ex or still the Son-in-Law...Whatever...let's sleep while the crazy man does "Jaagte Raho" in the night for them.

Question: What did Dips see that was so flashing in light ?



Btw...let me tell you all girls. I am liking AR/Sultan. 

His eyes beckon me, as in hold my attention. He may not be cute and crazy like RK/VD, but he has lot of meat on him that can give good competition to RK/VD. That's my opinion. His eyes are the highlight so far.  And the CVs have differentiated the dialect. Sultan uses the street lingo. So that way, his words and dialogues may not be impressive to the female population at the forum, and yet his eyes can hold our attention. Good thinking by CVs

I will now say...VD...show me the beef. The hilarious dialogues should not just be bombastic.

And I wonder D'oh...will Sultan drop Madhu at the Chawl, while RK is keeping his watch over Chawl-yard.  Sorry...just yapping...no speculating.

My serious Take on the Episode and the Events so far. I may use my own notes already posted before. In my Take 1, I couldn't be sarcastic about this portion and just left it...but now that I have calmed down, the thoughts are flowing better now.

They are using Thursday and Friday as Fillers for Saturday drama. Consistently, Saturday is getting them high TRP. So they must have reserved progressive drama for Shaandaar Shanivaar resulting from Bemisaal Budhwaar.  Those watching the actual television, you can let me know, if Colors uses the word Shandaar for Somvaar or Shanivaar.

Today the real focus is on RK - the satellite of Madhu. He has completely lost it.
He has no idea what he is doing. As in the SuperStar has turned the Chawl-Yard as his Private Living Room as he cannot enter Madhu's apt, so he is waiting outside and because of him, others (Madhu's family members and friends- R& B) are also forced to sit outside. Watch the scene for a moment...which star does that ?!! But this guy is doing it. He has gone crazy with complete disregard to his mega image. He is only left with one thing short and that is Paparazzi attention. And I wonder, how soon Media will follow his heels now that he has caused blockade for all exits from Mumbai City. Will the CVs show the effect of this action tomorrow ? I wonder or can just hope...

RK's actions are highy questionable, but a distraught Padmini, just doesn't even want to talk to him and silently wondering at his audacity to knock her doors...but then this is rescue about Madhu, she gulps down her pride. Trishna, lets out her apprehensions and vows to kill RK should something happen to her sister. Its just an emotional outburst !!! Seriously...the balls of the man to even think of knocking their doors. But he did. I mean the man has been always charming with his attitude and action, he shines even when he is shameless at his best...but all of that is not just for Madhu or his mother or family members. Yet again, he was able to silence even the serious person as Trishna who was speaking everything that was right. How come this guy so commands everyone's attention inspite of his tom-foolery, that is my million dollar question ? Is he that charismatic ?!! His shooting unit respects him, the police is respecting him inspite of his idiotic dialogues. Is it even possible ?!!! But he just did that. And lost he has all rights to enter Madhu's house and Trishna reminded him that Clap by shoving him out from the threshold...and yet the guy was adamently sitting outside in the courtyard. That was ultimate recklessness for a star.  Radhaji and Bittuji could not act well, but their expressions could be imaginatively imagined by me as them wondering what this man is doing waiting at the gates. What about his image ? RK never much spent any time for this long probably in the Chawl even when that Padmini-Shamsher Sangeet was supposed to happen. He arranged for a private wedding...

Together Wednesday and Thursday have churned out this imagery in my mind. Its like that ancient folk dramas with excessive paints on the faces, where to highlight one character, they paint the other one in dark. Presently its a drama of contrasts and excesses, where, Sultan shines the brightest with tough exterior, tough looks and street lingo and silence, Madhu shines as the dumb-belle oblivious to world other than what's in her mind, but a captive to Sultan, and RK shines as Madhu's satellite.  So overall, Sultan is running the drama and so RK keep waiting at the Chawlgates. 

Sultan-Aryan relationship
Btw Aryan is Shahrukh Khan's son's name. SRK was saying that here in India he can be called Aryan, in Muslim countriesm he can become Rehan and in West it can become Ryan. He wanted to choose an international blend for his son's name.
I liked Sultan's relationship with his son. He allows his son to call him Sultan (along with papa-whatever-I forgot) and he is toughening up his son...could be three reasons: 1) he is part of underworld, so training for pure survival 2) He might have to carry Sultan's legacy 3) He is teaching the child to think beyond his handicaps and his fears. We all could see that he loved the child and yet he was keeping him away from him.

This week the key events are going to be "Re-establish Rishbala Equation and turn RK into Lover Boy or Madhu's Satellite, Introduction of Sultan and Finally Faceoff between RK and Sultan."
The part in Italics is my speculation at this point. So you can also replace as some drama on Saturday

Day wise execution of drama
  • Monday & Tuesday  - Re-establish Rishbala Equation and turn RK into Lover Boy or Madhu's Satellite.
  • Wednesday - Mahaepisode . Avinesh Rekhi Introduced. Entire drama is focussed on Madhu and AR; with Madhu gallant in the 1st part of the episode and slowly turn her into Dumb Bala, so that we focus on AR. AR established, but we don't have a clue what the drama was all about. 
  • Thursday - AR is revealed as being Sultan and that he does know Madhu is Hairdresser and that Kidnapping drama was actually Bait drama for which Madhu was unnecessarily being the Gallant Queen. RK has gone crazy with complete disregard to his mega image and feels responsible enough to have all help garnered for Madhu's rescue. 
Friday -  Am expecting another filler where Madhu will do something that will make Sultan decide to drop her at the Chawl on Saturday...again my speculation...

The kid speaketh!!!! He probably realized that the loony lady may actually shoot his father if he keeps quiet any more.

If dad is crazy enough to tie him as a bait in the middle of the night in the jungle, he is crazy to take the bullet too and then where will I be?

Looks like Sultan craziness mein RK ki competetion mein hai. Mabe when they both actually meet, they can swap notes on Madhu and crazy harkats as well. RK may want to enlighten Sultan ki do you know she slaps good looking men. Sultan may say no kidding, she actually bit me. RK will think hmmm,  I need to to make a note of that.

Gattu Aryan is cute. Madhu adat se majaboor wants to help this little kid but he keeps refusing her help.  Madhu is too busy lecturing Sultan on parenting to even register that ki her gharwale (not RK, I mean maa and Trishna) will be worried and she should ask Sultan for a phone call. Nope, taking Sultan's class on his ghinauni harkat is more important.

Udhar RK lands in chawl and faces Trishna's wrath. Do Mumbai police have jurisdiction over Khandala? Or it is common for all over Maharashtra? For a moment I thought RK uski filmy police ki wardi mein khud bhi nikal padega. Lekin nahin. He chooses the guard duty outside chawl.

By the way, where are all the chawl walas? I didn't see too many gathered outside when Police came. They  probably got used to RK's antics by now and decided to stay away from this crazy superstar who drops in uninvited anytime of day or night.

I must say RK has guts. He is crazy enough not to think ki I am going back to the place where I did all this nautanki not too long ago, so  what will people think of me, my reputation. No, nothing. RK ko kisi ki parvah nahin. Muze Madhu wapas chahiye kisi bhi halat mein. Baas. Everything else can be dealt with when I see Madhu safe and sound again.

that's what I like about RK.."i care a damn attitude" Clap does this man care what others are thinking about him? after what he did to Madhu , he's with her family in the chawl, & poori Mumbai bandh kara di... "ye Madhu hai, mujhe woh sahi salamat chahiye" ROFL in front of dozens of onlookers , Padmini, Trishna, Bittuji, Radha & police.. hote raho confuse sab log, this is RK for you... LOL can anyone ask him to leave from there? to stop worrying for Madhu?LOL

Madhubala 213: The Adventures of Dumbaala

Genuine questions - Can someone please tell me if I missed something? Did the police scour the jungle and it's habitats nearby and find some clues that point to Madhu being in the city? Then why the naakabandi in the city? Shouldn't the entire team be camped near the jungle rather than in the chawl?

Rant - 
Logic seems to have deserted the CVs. It would have been so easy to make Madhu get lost somewhere in the city. Why this mangal in the jungle and then a hop back to the chawl?

As for our Dumbaala, the less said the better. She genuinely looked like an escaped asylum inmate today, teaching chants to the little boy and cleaning up his su-su. What the heck, Madhu! Find a phone and call home! Dump the boy! What do you care???!

New guy's eyes are expressive and beautiful. Rest of him is wooden and dull. Doesn't do it for me.

Give me our Dialogs Ka Raja, Madhu ka Band Baaja, Rishab Kundra any time. Today was not VD's best day in terms of acting but he was still miles ahead of anyone else near him. Especially that Trishna - I'm sorry, but Arti Puri can't act. And she doesn't look good while crying and shrieking simultaneously either.

Whatever VD was deficient in in the acting department today (and I blame the lack of logic in the storyline for that), he made up for in hotness. Is there a frame where this man doesn't look hot? I'm yet to see it.

Iam not getting grip in epi's means iam not able understand where story heading suddenely Madhu seems to be dumb which is beyond my understanding, RK seems to be over the top caring and mad but something is missing i coudn't enjoy the epi. There r so many things which has been ignored with lot of conviction but audiance like me is not really pleased with turn of events. The convo between Madhu and kid was so cute but Madhu's ignorance towards her own family bothered me so much that i couldn't enjoy at least one phone call to Padmini by Madhu would have been not any harmful hai na?

What RK was doing at chawl with so much madness around iam not really convinced with all drama on top of Trishna though i like her concern and dialogues but again it seems to be really shallow foe me. Same goes for RK iam not liking his concern at all everything seems to be so misplaced.

In all this scenario only one person i like is Sultan he is calm Ruthless man of few words, fire in his eyes. I even like his cruelty. His calmness is harmful. I really like to know this character more and his impact on Rishabala's current equation it will interesting to watch. I knw it will take time as PH has lot of other concerns to manage with VD's absense. Hope we will get better epi tomorrow. Don't know I why end up hoping for better from last few epi but my hopes crashed miserably. May be iam just hopelessely fall for this show

A faint analogy in fleeting manner...Its like Raavan...holding Sita in Ashok Vaatika and Ram wailing aloud in the Panchavati forest.

Madhu's has a freakish way to adapt to her surroundings. When she is bull-headed, she is blind. When is not, she adapts alarmingly. She'll the play the role of a wife, bahu, sister-in-law perfectly, even when she is expected to rebel. Now, out of nowhere, she starts to mother an unknown child who is perfectly secure in his home, with a psychopath father though, but hey, who are we to call out someone on his bizarre parenting.
 

That's a good analysis on Madhu's character. Shows how malleable she is in various situations. With RK, we have seen how ductile she can get...Don't know why, but suddenly it struck me, what a perfect material for becoming a performer, an actor!

too much of idealism to digest..Ouch kid-> poor innocent soul who needs to be protected... gun-> criminal/killer...she's risking her life for an unknown kid, that's a very mahaan thing to do..okay..but now that everything is settled down and confusion is cleared, all she does is go back to HER room & take rest LOL Jhasi ki rani to Mother India to Mother Teresa in 2-2 mins..

wonder why she couldn't give a thought to where she is, what's the time like how long it's been since she was away from everyone, her relatives, this man Sultan, has he held her captive? will she come out alive from this place? no?? Dead

Himbin and Shri, what superb observations! 

You can also add her goody goody self centered nature to the list of unique Madhu traits -- her blind desire to do the right thing, even if the recipient of her help doesn't want it.  We saw this with Mukund's family and today with the kid and his dad. This is the sort of 'help' that celebrities often dole out to their good causes...

Episode 171 Discussion: 16th Jan 2013


RK-Madhu ka Patch up over Test of Love fight.
Events of the Episode
  1. RK comes back to Madhu. They patch up. Says Madhu to RK - No more Love tests okay ? I am there to help you fight your insecurities, you just allow me do that. RK says yes.
  2. Madhu modifies the plan of "going away from here" to "going away from here until you are completely healed and able to trust the world and then come back again to our loved ones". RK agrees.
  3. RK then takes her to the pond-side place where he had given his first shot. He tells Madhu that he will marry her there after Padmini and Shamsher get married.
  4. Radha goes to Padmini's place. Happily tells her that her son Rishu called her Maa and all that has been possible because of Madhu. She vows that she will not allow ger son to go anywhere.

Episode Reviews
Honestly, it was a confusing episode to me.

There definitely was "patching of scenes shot at different times".  It seemed clothing of the scenes through some dialogues and editing where the screenplay itself was a bad framework. This is my view only for today's episode construction. Today, the screenplay was total failure and definitely the dialogue writer had some kind of challenge to show some transitioning. I rate today's episode as C. All I see is clunk running the agenda for the CVs

The "Let's go away where there are just you and me" Track has now addendum of "Let's return back to our loved ones" with another conflict from Ms.Radhaji that she will not allow the son to go away anywhere.

Only one scene seemed good and that was Radhaji going to Padmini and sharing her happiness and I was enjoying it until, the clunk showed up...that Radha now involves Padmini to oppose the going away track for Madhu and RK. Both the mother's opposition...

But one thing I superliked. That RK wants to get married at that place where he gave his first shot when become actor. His Lucky Charm !!! That was Filmy, respectful and endearing feeling. Chalo shaadi hogi ya nahin...khayal to accha tha.


Dialogue writing: Entertaining but sending mixed signals
Waise Madhu picking up the Sargi packet from Trash bin and eating the same brought the highest TRP and so I think Raghubir Shekhawat in happiness used the word "Kachra" for RK.Madhu does not mind picking up the valuable thing from Kachra ka dibba. :) 

The dialogue writer could have said...tumhaare dimaag mein bhoosa bhara hua hai, but he very wittily has written Tumhaare dimaag mein kachra bhara hai.
Ab bhoosa ho ya kachra...I wonder, how is that gonna help Madhu except that she lends him her brain or cleans his brain and fills up her brain. Plain hilarious fight between the husband and wife by saying insane words there. LOL !!!

"The darkness of the night just before the daylight break is the darkest". 
Madhu: Tum Mera Ghana Andhera. So Madhu is calling him her darkest time of the night and Rishabh is calling her his daylight break "Tum meri pvt suraj ki pahli kiran ho". Makes sense as a couple. She is his Hope. 

Isn't that what she just promised to him...to teach him to accept, love and trust everyone around in the world, NOT just her. This is the aspect of RK which I have always said needs to be evolved. He is evolved and intelligent, but does not know how to let go or take it easy. Until he gives it all, learn not to ask love any more and just loves without expectation without holding any grudge, he is never going to feel loved enough. That is the meaning of his song as well.
Bujh ke na bujhe ye pyaas o rabba ,jaane yeh kaisa hai pyaar!  Until he learns to be satisfied, by not building up thirst, "Dooriyan hai kyon darmiyaan" will not go away. And isn't he asking Madhu that question.."Mujh ko  ye tu  bataa"..

See here...the ending moods of the song for either of them...towards that they are building a bridge of hope and rescue...

Honestly that song cannot be fulfilling love story and I am so glad that they are working at the resolution for the Rishabh induced pain for RK.

I liked her dialogue today... "Is Aag se Thodi si Aag churakar, Love ka bonfire jalayenge"

Gosh !! Madhu is on a high actually. She is vindictive, vengeful and keeps breaking Rishabh Kundra left and right. He tries to be difficult with Aag ka dariya and pat comes her response that she will steal something from that dariya...as if she hardly cares what he is talking about. Too good. Its like for once Sheldon has been taken for a ride...from Big Bang.

Madhu: RK ki Biwi hoon. Dialogue maarna toh haq hai mera

There could be 2 reasons why Madhu is on a high:
1) Vodka aur whisky ko dekhne ka asar.
2) Just like how Biwi is RK's O2 cylinder, RK is Biwi's dawai... So may be the effect of dawai.. Looks like the dawai is nasheeli...

Story Construct and Presentation
Though this episode was bad construct and previous two episodes were clunky servings of their CLUNK TRACK "Test of Love" ruling the Lets Leave the Stardom track, I will applaud the CVs that as a team, they have a strong foundation towards the story and presentation. Almost everyone in their crew agrees on the vision, which is entertainment FILMI style. So everything is BOMBASTIC. And so filmi hero, filmy heroine and filmy dialogues and filmy kahani.  Then I also like the fact that, their love story has a progression that is very human. This appeals to all age groups. The passion gives meaning to all age groups because we cannot say that old people stop loving or don't know what is romance. But since their story is not that smooth, the love story has adult questions, principles challenged which appeal the grown ups as well, which is the TRP generating group. Then I like the actors commitment to this drama.

Stunts...yes we laugh. But thank God! we don't have real life villainous fights. Those are ugly and we cannot even sleep after reading about them in newspapers. So anyone looking for reality, may just replace Balraj kidnapping Madhu and having that noose with song and dance, with her being trapped in a dungeon with people trying to touch her...the noose drama is much better.

Atleast after a decade (isn't it about that time when Ekta popularised Saas Bahu sagas), they have brought through MEIEJ, a soap like NUKKAD back on TV. Nukkad was human and entertaining with best actors in the serial. For those who do not know, it as a Doordarshan soap in 80's. MEIEJ holds the same canvas with entertainment. Aaj iski kahani kal uski kahani, in the same RK-MB world. Do I not see the same Nukkad in Balika Vadhu then ? NO. Nope, That serial has objective and social message, but it is low on entertainment for me. It is definitely not rugged and fast like Nukkad style.

Coming back to MEIEJ. Folks, so we still do not know why MB loves RK. That remains a million dollar question and ensuing debate. LOL. But one thing is clear, Madhu is going to boss around RK, She is the Gauri to SRK LOL

What was Madhu saying??? Did she even hear herself? Did she just say that his dimaag was filled with kachra, wo bhi sada hua??? The way she said it was so strong that  I got the feeling if she really felt this way about him… then she shouldn't be with him… even being in love with him would be no reason enough. Yes, RK deserved this…but 3 months earlier! I agree the guy is bitter due to his past, he is insecure about his relationships… but she cant say he has no idea about relationships. He was the one who saw the unsaid love between Padmini and Malik. He has maintained his silence regarding the wrong doings of the Bhatia clan to shield his mother (stupid and foolish, I agree). He took back the case against Malik, a man who was out to kill him. If he didn't understand a father or trust him, he would have never taken the case back. He would have not bothered to reconcile a father and a daughter or Padmini-Malik. I thought she loved RK because she trusted him more than himself to be a good human being behind his facade. She said that no one has hurt her like him… she should be thankful… the people she loves, her husband, parents and sister have faced worse and scarred for life!  I am so disappointed with those lines that I completely shut off from that scene… somewhere in between I heard that the sanyas plan is still on, just that now it is a makeshift arrangement and not a permanent plan. Thank God for small mercies. May be not! Radha-Padmini scene indicated that Madhubala is all set to thread the path of a 'saas-bahu' saga. Radha does not want to get away from RK-Madhu and Madhu just promised RK, they will go away. Good Luck, RK!
The talaab kinara scene was good. Just a grouse… why are they roaming about in the previous days clothes? Isn't it a fresh day? RK took time to shave not shower? I get it that was VD's shot just before and after his break… yet they could have gone for fresh set of clothes!
RK plans to get married at that place because his 1st shot was in that place and its lucky… Hmmm! The film industry is so prominent in their lives. The scene had their usual banter… cute!

It's adorable if you look at it one way...this is a couple crazed by love for each other. They can't stay angry with each other, she lovingly tells him...he is her most gehra andhera, admitting that it is not easy for her, he accepts it in good humour, she calls his black memories about the past as kachra, i quite liked it, somebody needed to tell him that. Their relationship is becoming stronger, and they're both getting more possessive, if only...that saat pheras happen, all of us can move on. They're dragging the SR track, no big mystery to it. That's another TRP strategy from what I've seen. Acc to me, she is quite ok with moving on, but she keeps reminding him of his promise..it was his promise, not  hers. It's almost as if she keeps telling him, you promised, now bhugto and stay away.

What an irony!! Y'day she herself told RK not to let any third person interfere and now she herself is going to become a kabab mein haddi... SHe promises to herself that she would not let RK-Madhu go anywhere away from her...Ab Madhu kya karegi? RK ka test pass karegi ya Radha maiyya ka?
Madhu has to choose one.. If she heeds to Radha, RK and Madhu problem. If she heeds to RK, then Dipzy would do a chance pe dance and plotting will start, phir se RK-madhu problem. In short, brace yourselves for high-TRP saas bahu drama!!!
When is Radha going to flaunt her trophy in front of the other Bhatias?
I hope Padmini remains the saner and sensible one in all of this and not interfere in her daughter's life.

And lastly the lake-side scene. I was happy to know that he wants to start his new life where he gaive his first shot...

But the brooding part of the scene was the aag ka dariya hai, doob ke jaana hai. And he asking her doobna chahti ho ya aag(himself) mein chalna chahti ho and she chooses aag... What does he have in mind.

LOL!! Wasn't that vindictive ???? TRUE.  Madhu lovers can be happy. She is more than a sherni. Weren't we saying she IGNORES HIM for HIS OWN GOOD and if that backfires, she will first cajole him only to ignore him again. I am telling you Mother/Nurse and a Royal Queen.

Chalo, though I did not like her lecture on emotional level, like I said the other day, lekin Madhu mera hi bhala kar gayi. Because I predicted that logically Madhu's junoon will be always to fight against Rishabh and claim RK all for herself. I always imagine this RK sandwiched between Rishabh and Madhu and that's why I love seeing Madhu fight Rishabh and RK peesing in between... Just that plot wise it is funny, emotionally it is not too good sometimes.

So the braggart in me, wants to be appreciated again. So bear with me when I remind us what I wrote. Yaar I still cannot believe that this is the exact logic CVs follow for Ishq and Junoon

Ishq - 
  • RK's ishq is caring and being possessive about MB. There's certain level of deewanapan in the way he's after her. Be it to show his smirks or making his peremptory demands, its his expression of admiration for her, attraction for her and the desire to be in her company. Cluelessly enamoured royal tiger...I may as well be shameless and say seems in perpetual heat when around MB.
  • MB's Ishq - Am guessing that it too will be possessive like RK. And her ishq so far has an expression of giving spontaneous response to RK's any kind of act. She just can't stop reacting to him. Cluelessly affected by him. She is angry, child-like, demanding, puppy-faced, looking teased and a royal queen.
Junoon - 
  • Rishabh's junoon is to hide away under his mask or be a recluse in his cave. His junoon is also to conserve his Super Ego. Those who strike it, they are GONE! That's why MB has been the target. She questioned his thought-process, his way of living.
  • Madhu's junoon is to fight for others cares without any thought for her. She goes to insane limits. Take the case of Mukund, Shamsher Malik... and now it is RK and her standing up to restore his faith in his friend and care-taker Ganesha'.and soon a day is going to come when she will decide to take care of Rishu, when she understands that Rishabh's way of living is not a living but a coping to live through'..her eternal fight with Rishabh.

Episode 162 Discussion: 5th Jan 2013


RK's Sasural Family Portrait gets completed so that Balraj knows that he has to tear it apart.
Episode 162  Discussion: 5th Jan 2013
Events of the episode:
  1. Roma is back from our long outdoor shooting of months. She is the saving grace for today's drama.
  2. Shamsher was leaving for Bhopal and is tracked by his Damaad RK and brought back home
  3. Padmini tells Shamsher that she is ready to get married to him.
  4. Bittuji brings Balraj back to the chawl to convince Trishna to act in his film, because though Trishna said yes to him, she again refused to sign the contract when the agent called her.
  5. Family reunion in happiness with Shamsher+Padmini+Roma+Trishna+Madhu+RK, being watched by Balraj in seething anger by end of the episode.

Its like watching a south Indian movie...starting from B&W era to 80's era that I had watched. Everything gets resolved in high voltage drama and all characters one by one gather at the same place to get into the same frame to give an happy ending. 

That happened in the Malik's chawl today and over Mumbai Nagri roads. God! the rona-dhona (crying) and drama. It is my personal problem that I cannot watch this kind of drama that I had to see today. So I will not say, I am being impartial. I couldn't be when I was watching the 15 minutes of the show with covered eyes, mean looking through my finger gaps, so embarassing it was to watch the drama. Padmini and Madhu were worse cases today...undoubtedly. I pity PP and DD. Hope they laughed a lot when shooting those scenes, atleast they must have relieved themselves of the embarassment they were causing to themselves and viewers.

Waise the family portrait just happened for Balraj to see ...per the precap scene.  A portrait of Shamsher+Padmini+Roma+Trishna+Madhu+RK

I could only bear two people today; Roma and Balraj, though Bittuji also made the appearance. 
Roma made a comeback and Balraj remembered that he had been to the chawl before to kill Pads and Mads.

Except for Bhatias (Radha and gang), all the original cast of MEIEJ was there today.

Chalo, I guess now, RK will make way for Balraj to start his drama in coming days.

C rated drama, but needed wrap up drama before ACT III starts for MEIEJ.  ACT 1 - 20 yrs back drama. ACT II - Rishbala and building relationships around them. ACT III - The Past  left behind 20 years revisits everyone.

RK and ROMA
Waise by the end of ACT II, it is very clear that RK is enjoying the love and affection of Malik and Choudhry family...now totally becoming Malik family. He is enjoying even Roma's company. If we take away the Superstar status from Rishabh Kundra and just see Rishabh standing with these people, it is very acceptable to see that Rishabh is actually getting what he wants. Love of people around him. 

And Roma was the best example there. Eccentric character she is...but how bubbly and vivacious she is. A woman filled with love of life. What if she is not brilliant. She is just loveable. She had been responsible for helping out Padmini initially. She is such a good friend and sister and an aunt to the girls. And in today's episode, RK very naturally bonds with her just like her...both equally dramatic figures.


Madhu's demand for the 7 phera marriage from RK
Per Madhu everything is fixed and going well. His MIL and her son are now talking, her parents are getting married and her relations with her sister are improving. And so lovingly she reminds her husband that he needs to think of his 7 phera marriage. This is all in accordance with Reconciliation and Fixing before Leaving track, Let's Leave the stardom Track. Because we have RK wondering ""Kahan to pyaar tha hi nahee aur kahaa ye...Uparwaala jab bhi deta hai thappad maarke deta hai"

He was comparing his erstwhile barren/drought state of not having love in his life and now this flooded (chappad faadne waala types) state of love. Earlier he was abandoned by his parents and Dips which left him deeply scarred for life...but yet again he is now flourishing in love...with so many relationships around him now...because of his Madhu and prodded by her even he has built the relationships...hence the use of the word thappad...whatever happened to him good and bad ...all are pretty slapped to him by circumstance.

Padmini bahao's Ganga, jamuna, saraswati today and thankfully, as usual RK enters the scene along with malik in tow to save us from the atyachaar. Malik-Pads ko zindagi mil gayi dobara

Lady Bheem makes her dhamakedaar come-back!! And all her lines were too good.

If all the filminess of the scene is ignored, I actually liked that the entire family was present on this occasion in a single frame. It would have been very heart-warming for a crazy RK to be a part of this crazy family. His line "uparwala jab bhi deta hai ,thappad marke deta hai" indicated that he was very happy to be a part of this crazy bunch. RK was as usual spot-on with the dialogues and emotions.

RK-Madhu scene was as usual nice. RK-Roma were very good. I expected a RK-Padmini convo but never mind...

Am glad, Ballu says that Trishna is not the only heroine in this whole world and that there are thousands of other girls and that it goes against his izzat to pursue this girl..

Precap: Waah! Ballu ke toh bhagya khul gaye.. Denewala  jab bhi deta , deta chappar phad ke...He got to see the entire family in one frame... Family photograph kheenchi ja rahi hai taki Khalnayak plan banaye ke uska naksha kaise badal diya jaaye!!!

So,as per precap Balraj gets to know everything !!...not only that his estranged wife and two daughters are alive but,also that Mrs.R.K is none other than his daughter Madhu,the supposed heroine Trishna is his elder daughter(he would sure figure out all that) and Super star R.K wants to launch his wife's sister staying anonymous...
        His targets are however in the dark except Trishna who though knows her devil father is back is unaware that its R.K (oblivious to who ballu is) who is behind the film nor knows Ballu found out all about them...Would be interesting to see how R.K outsmarts Ballu in his game...I doubt if R.K would get to know of Ballu's real identity until the very end...

       Trishna,true to her character was quick to find fault  for their unfortunate situation and blamed Padmini ...it also showed how fiercely loyal she is to shamsher...As Shri said in her 'subtilities of relationships' Trishna made her relationship with both Padmini and mallik...she knows what it is to not have caring parents...hence is not only fiercely loyal but also possessive of  both Shamsher and Padmini...but,can we say she feels the same towards Madhu...I am not so sure...If Madhu happens to be the reason her parents get in danger what would she do..?? If a situation arises would she be not selfish to sacrifice,give in madhu (to balraj) for her parents...would she be loyal to Madhu too...?? ...have to watch out...As of now Trishna is one character who has layers and which are yet to be revealed to us... 

R.K and madhu scene as usual was cute and lovely...R.K is one happy man now a days...When he said that 'Thappad' dialogue I think he also meant  his Sasuma's thappad  ...Though he had to endure it,the end result made his equation with Roma and Trishna amicable...He seemed to be relieved when Roma expressed her happiness...he finally is getting all that love he yearned for from the most genuine people... mallik got to express his dil ki baat in privacy with pads but,poor Padmini she got to do it in front of her whole family ...and R.K who provides millions with reel entertainment was getting his from the real happy drama right in front of his eyes...   How can he miss it...Liked Roma today...over all a nice episode..

After I read your post...and as I was cooking today, i started thinking on what you wrote about Trishna. That she was quick to blame Padmini for being the reason why Shamsher left them. ..

The way Trishna thinks is very simple then...her world of things she built for herself and her dreams. She loves Padmini, Shamsher and Roma very much. And Padmini and Shamsher...yes, she is very possessive about them...so much that she can easily switch their camps if one of them becomes the reason to hurt the other. And she behaves very much of a demanding daughter of the three and we have seen her being unreasonably demanding of them and so much that in frustration, all three have slapped her. She has wept a lot, still had not held any grudge against them.

So worse comes worst, she is always going to protect her parents and Roma. If the choice was between saving her parents/Roma and Madhu, she will always pick the other three. 

If the choice was between her dreams and Madhu to pick for ...I don't know what she will pick up...because Trishna has not come as AMORAL even if she came across as brash, selfish and hurtful. If the other three are safe and provided...we can hope to see that tested. But so far in the story, Trishna has been bad to Madhu when she was totally unreasonable (like in the case of Mukund Dikshit...I mean blindly any given day, I was on Trishna's camp) and when Shamsher was lying in the hospital or her parents were not together.  

Another thing which is also very clear that, she doesn't really concern herself with Madhu's aspirations and efforts. She heeds to Madhu because she is also the daughter of her parents. Otherwise, Trishna does not have any emotional bonding with Madhu. All that she ever shared as sister was taking advantage of Madhu's offered help...like in case of shooing away all proposed matches coming for her when Padmini tried getting her married...or taking her make-up artist services...

So what does that speak of Madhu ? That Madhu does not know how an elder sister is supposed to take care of a younger sister. So Madhu is as much a single child whereas Trishna had been getting the love of  a sister, though she was not being a true sister.

in conclusion...my ramble now decides that Trishna is a daughter with vested interest in her parents. However, she is not a sister with vested interests. She may protect Madhu, only if she were to know that her parents would be aggrieved if something were to happen to Madhu.

Agree...@Bold:  Very true and I wonder why Trishna doesn't share any emotional bond with madhu despite being her elder sister and known her since birth...I think you answered it in
'subtleties of Relationships' when you said... "There in lies her deep insecurity of not being blessed enough to possess as birthright like Madhu".

So,its probably her jealousy and deep rooted insecurity that madhu is Padmini's own daughter whereas she is her step daughter that somehow made her emotionally detached with her sibling...Even when Madhu was living a hate marriage with R.K we never saw Trishna feel any sympathy towards Madhu...She blinded herself to Madhu's hurt and just saw her being a superstar's wife...Also,we don't see her feeling any remorse after cursing her sis so harshly...

Shri, Hima read both of your posts on Trishna. 

It might be that Madhu is Padmini's own biological daughter and she is not. Not only that, Trishna is a rebel and Madhu an ideal daughter. So probably the insecurity that Madhu is loved more than her, forces her to demand the love from her parents and Roma. 
From the time I have started watching the show, I have never till today felt that she loved Madhu at all.

 For Trishna, her dreams, aspirations are very very important. . As long as Madhu(or anyone for that matter)  does not breach her territory and become antagonistic to her dreams/ambitions, she would be happy and be goody goody to her

 She even  lashed out at her mom once when she said that she wants Trish settled n tells her to forget all her hi-fi dreams and come back to reality..

She sympathizes with Madhu during RK ki laila press conf, consoles her when malik was first taken to the hosp. All these times, Madhu's nature was not antagonistic to her. Trish  first blamed Madhu when she was humiliated on the sets and then sent away from there and was told that she would never be able to find work in the film industry, thus putting a full stop to her career. The moment that happened, she blamed Madhu for being the root-cause of their problems--her career, Malik battling for his life and she had told yahaan tak ki, had she not come into existence, Mom and she would never had to flee Motihari.

The jealousy showed its head out  when Madhu got married to the Superstar,coz again, it was her dream to act opposite RK and dreamt of a life too with all the luxuries, comforts. She was deprived of all this(and with the ban, it would never get fulfilled) and Madhu got to live the life Trish aspired ,which just fuelled the antagonism even more. 

Now coming to her patch-up with Madhu, i feel its coz everything is falling in place with regards to both her career n personal life n hence has no problem with Madhu..

This is how I have perceived Trish's character apart from her love bonding with her parents which you both have discussed. I understand that she is a very layered character and hopefully other layers/dimensions would be revealed in the upcoming tracks.

Like Ananya and others said yesterday, it would be interesting to see RK/Trishna r'ship now and most importantly how RK would deal with Trish when sibling jealousy/rivalry shows its head out again in the future and how would he make Madhu understand and show her the reality.

Beautiful picture dear...  Padmini is looks so beautiful... she epitomises strength, grace and warmth. Malik has a photogenic face... his expressions are caught lot better in a still photo than a movie. Roma and Trishna are happy for their loved ones. Madhu looks cheerful, the skip in her steps was evident and RK behind looks thoughful... thoughtfulness that brought about smiles on all the faces. And Ballu... for an excuse of a human being that he is... he deserved the anguish he faced today.

Episode Events
The entire episode is dedicated to the reentry of Balraj. RK meets up him at Balraj's Birthday party. RK and Balraj recognize each other as having met in the loack-up. RK tells Bittuji that BSC is a Nut-Case and they should not do any business with him. He leaves the party. Unfortunately, his car has broken down which forces him to take the lift offered by Balraj in his ambulance to go to his home. 
The episode is strewn with loaded meaning as how RK would be protective of Madhu against Balraj...with the innocent rose taking the lead role. The rose is adorned on RK's coat by Madhu, Balraj tries to grab it and RK stops Balraj and shoves him away. RK comes all intact with the rose back to Madhu.
Not to forget...there are two romantic scenes between Madhu and RK...in the beginning and ending.

Episode Take
A filler episode with the primary intent to introduce BSC ...Erstwhile Balraj Singh Chaudhary now known as Bhagwan Shaitan Choudhary

Today RK and Him have met. Tomorrow BSC is going to meet Madhubala. RK calls BSC as a NUT CASE, but by the end of it, he does get affected by Balraj charm, like I was. It was hilarious and very smart of him to make an ambulance as his getaway vehicle because that beats Mumbai traffic. Well no one can stop Balraj ! Right !!! I was smirking at that man and his crazy thinking and lo to my surprise even RK is impressed with that brilliant idea. 

RK dressed for Party ...I liked it. And I also liked how he was throwing Balraj's hands away from him.Loved that BSC's madness attracted RK. Come to think of it, it was hilarious.

Down side of the episode. 
Now that RK-MB marriage is paused, does that mean that I have to watch those boring eyelocks or attempts at intimacy when I know for sure nothing's gonna happen. Why don't they instead have them lose themselves into passion and regret later as guilt-ridden souls or enjoy as sinners or rather just stay away from it like saints. Oh! Please give me anything than just the ennui as if selling some kind of adolescent sensationalism...As a viewer, it is cheating for me with filler scene of such sort with no real drama happening in those minutes. God !!! spare me from these unwanted fillers !!!

A borderline bearable scene 
That RK wanted his Biwi to come along with him to the party. And I am really surprised, why Madhu must have withheld herself from joining. Except for the clunk reason that "let first RK meet up with BSC and have the ambulance scene" and "let's have the rose scene there to show RK possessiveness" except for that ...I cannot fathom how Balraj could have thought that single rose was enough to alleviate the medicinal smell of the ambulance !!! And who in their right minds would want to remove rose from another man's shirt??  May be that was to show that it is The Balraj for us. And what's with Madhu asking RK, why didn't he leave rose in the ambulance?? I cannot imagine her saying this. But then again I am a Scorpio. I think differently and have different notions on tokens of affection.
Anyways coming back to dissection of the borderline bearable scene...Husband was wishing wife to join him at the party. Wife too subtly showed she wanted to join him, but then didn't want to be too clingy. I could make sense of that scene only that way. Chalo him spraying the perfume and her giving him the rose...Sigh!!! will keep them from too much sighing in remembrances !! 

Rating...Just that one laugh at the ambulance scene...when Balraj explains its convenience, noting else was brilliant in terms of drama. However, RK's get up for the party appealed to me. Bittuji seems to have improved in his taste of attire. He is wearing all plain Shirts now. And finally Zutshi did make me listen to him in full. Please just give him meaty dialogues and a role to play and not the nincompoop he came across to me with that song and ambulance rescue. Made no sense to me, except as the crazy Movie Financier. So I am plain confused where does it fall...B or B - or C. 

The Increasing Clunkiness of Symbolism in MEIEJ

  1. Photo was plain weird inspite of Rishabh looking at Madhu as his focus of attention.
  2. Rose, as the sign of possession and protection between Madhu and RK and Ballu as the violater - makes sense
  3. Rose and its ability to remove the smell of the ambulance - plain dumb idea of the writers to create metaphorically the idea of same blood flows between father and daughter. Can't they have kept patience to develop it later ? Why so much of hurry and this increasing clunk ? At this rate of NO romance and NO touch, the show is not going to end soon...so why hurry ?
  4. Which intelligent person would think one rose is enough to remove all the disinfectant or cholorform smell of the ambulance...What does Madhu know about it  ? As a woman, when she herself gave it as a token of love and remembrance to her husband, how can she instead of noticing it as endearing sentiment of love by her husband ask him, why didn't he throw away ? Isn't it against a loving sense ?
Lastly, why do they have to butcher Madhu like this with insensitive romance with hubby just for the sake of clunky symbolism?

seriously, can't fathom the reason behind deprioritizing husband , that too in simple matters like going out for a party  he insisted so many times but she didn't budge...what planning did she have to do? planning is done inside the head, she didn't have to be at home to fulfill this mission...which wife wud refuse ?? okay, RK is not her only focus in life but nobody is asking to choose  b/w RK and her family..it's about priorities..i haven't seen 1 heroine doing it on tellyland..they r better bahus than wives..haan when they have to keep vrats and when their suhaag is in danger, they r right there to show how much they love their husbands ...all of us are bound by family duties but one must value these few precious moments where they got a chance to spend time with their spouses..the whole day is not sufficient for planning and MIL, khana banana, khana and khilana?

Her not attending the party was the biggest clunk of today's story. I was very disappointed with seeing her madness in refusing to go with him, then RK getting attracted to Balraj madness. 
  • CVs are hell bent making Madhu as ordinary and not shape her as a star's wife who needs to take reigns of being the star's wife along with social and business obligations for her husband. RK is repeatedly telling her not to be a domesticated wife and yet Madhu is keeping that. 
  • So are CVs planning a purposeful rift through this clunkiness of character absurdity in Madhu ?
  • So on everything the CVs are just busy painting inexplicable idiosyncracies in characters surrounding RK.
  • Do they plan to bring junoon inside Rishabh only through showing more paagalpan in people surrounding him ? So should I stop expecting sense from everyone around RK ? 


Continuing on the Ambulance scene and Rishabh's attraction to Madness.
I am really trying to make heads and tails of MEIEJ from Today onwards. A re-evaluation. 

Basically, it was that 150th episode ...Balraj reintroduced post Rishbala tell each other that they love the other. I know now what is Rishabh Kundra. I never much cared for his ishq and junooni love story for Madhubala, but I really was intrigued at the way he married her...in that unconventional style. By the end of it...now he wants a conventional marriage with her because he loves her and it makes so much sense to him. For me it was all about what kicks he is getting out of that ordeal/challenge that he went through. And I was happy with what he got as the prize.

Rishabh Kundra is this intellectual person, who highly appeals to me along with extremely sensitive self. He makes me understand sensitivity and how to respond to it and keep it inspite of us getting older day by day and growing into obtuse persons. He is anything but a hypocrit or snob and is ever ready to speak out his mind and then get shot rather than not to speak at all, not to express at all. In here it means to express his hurt as well, even if that means to die...even if that means to go against prudence, appear absurd, appear weak. And he is a person who would never change his viewpoint until he is shown a better view point and then he is ready to bull doze his own view point. The logical argument needs to be that evolved for him to appeal to his mind and senses alike. That's the reason he seems unconventional at all times and then he is ready to go back to convention. No family...yes Family, Half-marriage ...Full marriage, No Karva chauth ...yes Karva Chauth, no God ...yes God...No Forgiveness ...Yes Forgiving. He seems to shoot his own brains at being loggerheads with all the madness of the world. Part of madness he is disdainful and part of madness gets his respect.  The madness in his house, he was disdainful of...the madness he saw in Madhu and her family, it appeals to him so much now...that he is ready to balance himself between both the worlds.

But in all of this, he got attached to Madhubala. Her madness appeals to him. If the story ended here between the two...I would have had peace. However...

As I thought more about today's episode and his smile at Balraj's unique mind at beating Mumbai traffic, through that ambulance, Rishabh Kundra yet again shot his brains out and killed his man of business attitude at "should not do business with a nut-case" and warmed up to enjoy the ride home in Balraj's ambulance...against all social prudence, leaving behind his Superstar status...I started to see him...as Rishabh Kundra -the Matador, ready to take on the charging bull of madness.

Why does madness in that raw style appeal to him ? Either ways. Good or Bad. Why doesn't he let go of his attraction to madness ? He wouldn't have harboured so much of hurt and disdain, if he had controlled his desire and walked away from madness. But at the same time, this attitude now got him Madhu and her parents, whom now he has started to like. But then again...its not that rosy. He once again ushered in MADNESS by warming upto Balraj Choudhary. Madness does not have a sane path. Does Rishabh Kundra forever want to be married to madness? 

Will Rishabh Kundra ever say NO to Madness ? Will he stop being the Matador ? 

I can only think of one thing for today's episode.

Bheja shor karta hai
Bheje ki sunega to marega Kallu
Are Tu karega dusara bharega kallu 
Mama ...Kallu Mama!!!

Both Balraj and RK seemed ready to shoot their brains. Madhu will always have her own mission to run. And between all of them, I should shoot my brains if I continue to see the attraction to madness.

While I saw Rishabh Kundra shooting his brain but then again getting rejuvenated with awakened heart which nurtured back his intellect...in his attraction to Madhu madness...as in episode 149...with that reentry to Chawl to apologize to his wife's parents for his misdeeds was mark of his intellect back into existence...which gives me hope that he will shoot his brains but also ready to grow his brain...What about Balraj Choudhary ?

May be I should stop applying my mind and see what appeals to my heart. I am just so damn confused...I got attracted to Balraj's ambulance idea, that I warmed up to. So am I mad too ...like Rishabh Kundra ? Is that why I like Madhu too, though I can never fathom how she could go against her family's well-being for a idiotic cause such as Mukund Dikshit ? What is Saurabh Tiwari aiming at by writing a story like this ? Yes, I get emotional elevation, but my intellect has now started to yearn to ask Rishabh Kundra to stop getting attracted to Madness. Would that mean, I should put on a curb on myself ? Hope I am able to soon find a meaning in all this madness.

@BOld...I would say no...He would always be attracted to that paagalpan,junooni edge in people...
RK himself gave the answer to why he is the way he is...I don't exactly remember but,something along why is there brightness in Sun etc...I am sure you would remember that...He needs that kick in life...looks for it in people and around...he is made that way...He doesn't much like mundane people carrying on conventional life with out any questions...he despises cowardice...I am sure his fathers cowardly act of suicide bothered him as much as his mothers second marriage but,since he is no more he probably gave him benefit of doubt out of his affection...For him people who act,fight even though for wrong reasons are worthy than who hide,cry and give up...that's the reason why he couldn't forgive his mother...Basically he is a fighter...Though, he is attracted to madness,good or bad, he would never cross a few boundaries and his innate morals would always make him choose,accept,support and protect the one's on the right...Yes he wouldn't have a sane path but,would always end up with sane people as those would be the one's he will choose...What does Saurabh Tiwari want to tell...?? well I guess my be he is just presenting us with the paagalpan in people...of how a saint paagal brought out the humaneness of another seemingly devil paagal who in turn will save the saint paagal from the true evil paagal ha..ha ...I am going crazy now...but,Isn't this extra edge,kick,madness in a few that leads to great innovation,major changes and even destruction which make this planet of ours so diverse and full of surprises...

I have stated many times before that to me the most intriguing character in the show is RK more so because he is such a bag of contradictions. He is charming, suave and smart when he chooses to be but he is also crass, impulsive and temperamental. His insecurities are almost as huge as his ego and self confidence. He is also an immensely observant and intelligent person with multifaceted artistic talents. Even though he is sarcastic and a hard to please boss, his relationship with Bittuji seems to suggest he is capable of invoking immense loyalty in others. With so many dimensions to his personality ranging from dark to light.Madhu comes across as a very single dimension entity when compared. She is light to his dark but then will he be light to her dark (assuming she has any) 
In past RK has been shown to nurse an almost deathwish. He cared for nothing including his life, he had nothing to lose. Life probably seemed like a long boring journey to him and he was in a hurry to get to the other end. This made him immensely dangerous and fearless. He courted danger much like a matador, took pleasure in shocking others by doing the unexpected and got his kicks from it. His madness was a way to keep him entertained and probably make him feel alive. He seemed to recognize the potential of same madness in others and enjoyed adding fuel to the fire and see them go crazy. His marraige with Madhu was a part of shock factor at the same time sending a message to the masses. However all this was before he fell in love yet again with Madhu. I would expect him to start scaling back on the craziness now. He has something to look forward to now and someone to care for. I cannot see him courting dangers anymore unless they are to protect Madhu. In same vein, I can see why he was impressed with Ballu's ambulance idea (it was crazy and out of box thinking) but at the same time I cannot see him prolonging his association with Ballu specifically if he senses that Madhu is scared of Ballu. He wants someone, he can control...it should be pretty obvious to him that Ballu does not fall in that category. My guess is his interaction with Ballu in the storyline was designed to introduce Ballu in Madhu's life. From now on RK and Ballu will be on opposite ends of spectrum (both are intelligent, devious and crazy). Anything else would be insulting RK's intelligence and capability to assess a person. Today effectively the ranks closed...Maliks reconciled with RK included in the circle. The only weak link here is Trishna-the big question is will her jealousy and anger for Madhu overcome her fear of Ballu.

Because seriously, the character graph that RK was having all these days, certainly needs him to control his desire to court madness. In restrospect, I neither liked my liking to  Ballu's intelligence nor I wanted RK to get close to him. He needs to curb his desires for reckless kicks, if he now thinks he has a vested interest in life with Madhu besides him and he has found love. So having felt easy with someone else agreeing with me...which effectively tells that RK is making a mistake here...now acknowledging that I am ready to accept the story as it moves. Because, yes, once RK realizes that his reckless act is endangering Madhu, he will learn to control that. After all, he just started loving her and wants to get married to her properly. So, yes the matador needs to control his flamboyant desires for kicks and excitement.

Chalo that is one growth for Rishabh Kundra ...curb your attraction for games and courting danger...your life is not yours anymore. Ye aur baat hai...where fate will take him. I would just love once, him acknowledging that it was supremely bad idea to have shaken his hands with BSC...for the guy has now audacity to stalk him, interrupt his shoot schedule and just usurp whatever was left of RK's privacy.

@Shri - I couldn't agree more with you. For a second there when he was bending down close to her neck, I thought that he was going to give her a hickey which would remind her of him the whole time he is gone. Then I immediately caught myself thinking that this is Indian soap and we are talking DD/VD here so nothing of that sort is going to happen. But I have to give it to the CVs for raising the hopes of viewers only to crush them within matter of seconds. Anyways, a peck on the cheek or a kiss on the forehead would not have caused any harm. So, why so much hesitation when supposedly they have kissed after the confession or did they not kiss at all because the flowing screen of some sort came in between them.

Agree with both Shri and Kt. Plus these two actors are so freaking stiff it looks forced. What is wrong with them...wait please don't answer that. Shri, I have already done my bakwas while talking to you so you know exactly what I am talking about. lol
If simple intimate scenes are such a big deal, then I think the actors should reconsider their chosen professions. That's the whole point, you are acting and at least behave like the character in all aspects. Think I have gone totally off kilter and topic here...don't crucify me ladies..

From the last one week, we've been fed some off episodes and some spot on episodes. Don't know what is happening, it is almost as if they're shooting from day to day. Are they focusing on the Jan episodes when VD will not be around?

I actually did'nt even feel like writing on the episode yesterday, except that this discussion thread has become so important that I have to get into it and add my two bit. It's not a rant, but these are so obviously filler , random episodes.
I am not analysing anything here, but just thinking aloud ...

Physical aspect: 

  • We've been trying to tell ourselves that their romance is progressing at the right pace!! But I remember Zoya's rant, ...how slow, how long!!! Is this pace the director's decision or is it that the actors are hesitent?? DOes a daily serial actually run on whether the lead actors are comfortable or uncomfortable? Can they risk it? And both DD and VD have been acting for sometime now, they know the drill plus they are both extremely serious about their work.
  • And the passion that is shown from both RK and MAdhu is not imagined, for all her behenji attitude, she does not shy away from any physical contact. Which is why it is beyond me, how can they stay apart...this is just one of those damn tracks that cause so much anticipation that it is almost  breaking news when it happens. i remember reading about kunal-Siddhi's consumation scene in parichay, it was actually breaking news, on a news ticker...i was like ...whaaat??It happened even with BALH.  So I guess this will be one of those long drawn out affairs. But I hope for the sanity of the viewers, they marry and have their SR etc before the heroine track begins. For that I don't mind waiting for the heroine track. Because that is going to be by far the biggest jhatka to all the relationships in the serial...RK-Madhu most definitely.(  It is convenient for everyone to have Madhu as gharelu and ever accomodating). It will be quite unbearable to have their passion simmering under the surface through months of shooting etc. Their relationship needs to have that closure. It cannot be a pavitra rishta anymore. 
  • I have no flow to my thoughts today, so bear with me. They are so many little things that bothered me yesterday, her dupatta is always perfectly pinned, I think it is even pinned to her arm, secondly, when he left and she kept saying...jao RK, it is natural to push gently, but she was just standing at attention and saying...jao..., thirdly the pillows..which are really beginning to annoy me, it is jarring and distracting now. Which is why, I'm thinking, in MBEIEJ, generally they have some degree of attention to detail, are all these things part of what the director requires?? If they let go of these little things, will it matter, that's what I keep wondering?? Are we missing something? or are they missing something, just being lazy about these details?
OK, bye for now, am going to continue at some point with this meandering post...
