Episode 203 Discussion: 23rd Feb 2013

Duplicate original se bhi sundar lag rahi hai - Madhu's beauty gets noticed

Events of the Episode
  1. Madhu gets dressed up the Duplicate in gown, covers her bare shoulders with the stole.Comes for the shot. RK starts his act, holds her waist, albeit saying he doesn't like touching her but has to for the shot. Shot goes on beautifully. Director is happy. But Kameena RK has another idea to interrupt the shooting and reminds everyone that heroine did not have stole. And he calls Madhu as Madhubala and starts removing that. Half-way, Madhu's tear falls on him. He snaps out and calls Pack-Up. Reason...Duplicate not looking like Heroine at all. And tells Director to transfer the day's expense into his account.
  2. Everyone starts to leave. Bittuji looks teary-eyed at his Bhabhiji and from behind RK calls Bittuji to come away. Sad version of Hum Hai Deewane song for Madhu. From here contrived execution of CVs for their drama starts. On the way out, Bittuji calls Radhaji, gives her the update as to what happened. Radhaji wonders what a twisted relationship her son and daughter-in-law share. She prays to Bappa.
  3. We then magically see RK in a strange room. It turns out to be the make up room. He is talking to Bittuji and we learn that his car has broken down and that his vanity van had been sent off.
  4. In the adjacent make-up room, which we viewers can see and which RK can only hear through the wall, hears Madhu sobbing. She ends her sobbing with "HauslBy on se Veer hoon, Sankaton mein Dheer hoon, Dushmano se bheer hoon...all in sob-sob style.RK in the adjacent room is all listening to this and his heart is cut into 1000 pieces.
  5. Bittuji takes Bappa's name and enters Main room, switches off power. RK comes running looking for Madhu as she is afraid of dark.
  6. RK calls for Madhu. Madhu doesn't allow him to touch her. He says you are afraid of dark. She denies and says she is afraid of him whom she saw in light and hates him. Madhu tells him that he has no right to be concerned about her after what he did. RK is unable to take her no and pulls her and as Madhu gets away from him, RK's hold on her hand causes her shirt sleeve to come off.
  7. There comes the flying 5th Slap from Madhu on RK's cheek. She asks him, what can he do now for her 5th slap.
  8. How will he avenge himself now for the 5th Slap. Check it out for the answer on Monday.

Episode Reviews

Paanchve Thappad ka badla kaise loge ?
Batao Na ?
Sunne ke liye Tune in Kijiyega Agle hafte somvaar sade aath (8:30) baje.

It was a Rishbala Shippers episode.
Radhaji and Bittuji acted the Cupids. Now I don't understand why peeps would hate them for their conspiracies !
Khair not my problem. I liked Radhaji praying to God..to give some solution. Coz I believe in Miracles. I like them
And Bittuji...Phas na jaana, Sambhal jaana, Switch zaroor ON kar dena, kaam poora ho jaane ke baad.

Nothing much to analyse. Contrived another studio night. But the hopeless like me will watch it, ogle at it anyways.

Interesting dialogue:
by god first time...Duplicate original se bhi sundar lag rahi hai

Sad version of the Hum Hai deewane song...They changed the female singer. So that means now mukhda will keep changing according to the situation.

Kaisi yeh pyaar ki dekho ruswaayi
Bass door talak tanhaayi
kya wafa ko sila sirf bewafaayi
pyaar mein jaan ganyaayi
Hum the Deewaane Tere Deewaane -4

Translation

Look how the love has been disgraced.
Only solitude on the horizon.
How the loyalty has been paid. Only disloyalty.
Have lost my life in love.'
I was crazy. Crazy about You -4

ETA - Events:
Madhu gets dressed up the Duplicate in gown, covers her bare shoulders with the stole.
Comes for the shot. Everyone starts to leave. Bittuji looks teary-eyed at his Bhabhiji and from behind RK calls Bittuji to come away. Sad version of Hum Hai Deewane song for Madhu. Lyrics given above. From here contrived execution starts. On the way out, Bittuji calls Radhaji (not sure what RK was doing at this time...I thought he should have been right in front of Bittuji), gives her the update as to what happened. Rads ...says what a twisted relationship both have. lol. And yet she prays to Bappa. Jai Ho. Main Dhanya ho gayee. Nahin to what will happen for my ogling eyes. lol. We then magically see RK in a strange room. It turns out to be the make up room. He is talking to Bittuji and we learn that his car has broken down (yet again! Sigh!) and that his vanity van had been sent off. lol. In the adjacent make-up room, which we viewers can see and whicg RK can only hear through the wall...hears Madhu crying...sisak sisak ke rona. She ends her crying with "Hauslon se Veer hoon, Sankaton mein Dheer hoon, Dushmano se bheer hoon...all in Sisak- Sisak style...Means our hero in the adjacent room is all listening to this and his dil ke hazaar tukde ho rahe hain, with all that chakku churiyaan in the form of Madhu's Sisak Sisak tears. :( :D
Bittuji ne piya cinkaara and liya Bappa ka naam and dhaava bole. Main room mein gaye, switch off kar diya (How does he know that Madhu is afraid of Dark ? confused) Ab aur kya hona hai. RK kameene se Hero to ban hi gaye...Action hero bhi ban haye...as in came running looking for Madhu as she is afraid of dark. Big Deal !!  But I like it  Balle Balle for the drama that ensues. Hero calls for Madhu. Heroine doesn't allow him to touch her. He says you are afraid of dark. She denies and says she is afraid of him whom she saw in light and hates him. They fight for no reason. And RK pulls her for no reason, and Sleeve comes off for no reason. Seriously how does sleeve tear off like that...the guy did not even tug at it. Contrived Drama. Lo there comes the flying 5th Slap on RK's cheek. Yeah Madhu gives it. But don't worry. She asks him...Kya kar loge. How will he avenge himself now for the 5th Slap  Lol!!  Check it out for the answer on Monday.

This first half of the episode disgusted me! Never thought this day too would come! Madhu walks in looking innocent and lovely but RK is unaffected! (Why is he so unaffected whenever she looks pretty, like on KC and one or two other occassions) Agreed completely that the duplicate looked way better than the original myself! Thumbs up to that! Madhu n RK looked stunning together in the frame with that ornamental piece n all! For me the scene would have had its effect n beauty n heart touching moments, if RK wasn't the one to point out to do away with the stole! That just put me off so much, that the ensuing tear n his hesitation to proceed lost its magic for me! I just shut down after RK's Kameenapan! Exactly why Cvs should know where to draw the line! Would have been better if it was the director who pointed that out, btw that guy was leering n further disgusted me!

The least said about Radhaji n Bittuji's conversation, the better! Thanks for the update on their twisted realtionship(can it even be called that)status! After what happened at the shooting, they still want to reunite and get them talking, really? For what purpose! They both should pray to Ganpati Bappa for more sense for themselves, than for RK and Madhu's reunion!

The dressing room scene was the redeeming scene of the episode for me! Madhu's siskiyaan reminded me of the night after RK returns from hospital, when Madhu was remembering him getting shot and crying! It was such a beautiful scene, this one came a close second! RK involuntarily reacts to her cries, much like that night! Her trying the chant, his almost in tears, pained reaction to her hurt was good! Special mention to the actors, especially DD! All in all a well executed scene!

Responded by Myself - MADHU's BEAUTY
@bold

Exactly for those reasons I liked the episode. Leering...very natural in acting business. How do you expect IDYLLIC environment there ? That would be impalatable to me. I know Madhu is beautiful and I expect all sorts of commentary on her beauty. There is a price you pay for being beautiful. Why are you all so protective for Madhu ?  Its sheer naturalism for me...just the way I protect myself everyday. For Madhu this was the beginning of that journey. Her beauty is going to take her to places where she never wished to be. Didn't the story start with Mukund just smitten by her beauty which started the story ? She will need to toughen up if she needs to be a single working woman with those drop-dead gorgeous looks (that's Madhu's character and reminding you if you are forgetting). Looks in the industry matter a lot.

Coming to Rads and Bittuji.  Disliking them for what they do? ...then what right one has to be happy with that redeeming action from RK from the make-up room ? Without their efforts, the redeeming action would not have been visible to you.  I think in the name of drama, you need to justify both your liking and disliking  and not in disconnected chunks but as continuation of the entire episode.

I don't think the CVs are actually intending to use Radha and Bittooji as the cupid. Maybe a push or two here and there. But they are mostly being used to voice the viewers' doubts and concerns and also to solace them. Like saying something along the lines of 'there's still hope'.
Responded by Myself

Exactly. Called the Chorus. But also needed for RK's BBBing drama. Take them off, RK's drama gets washed away from the episodic content. You cannot just show RK at the studio the whole day. He needs to be back home. You cannot make him sit at the bar, as that kind of drinking is gone from RK character...if its back, it will be Madhu's defeat. You cannot have Bittuji and his mother in friendly chat with him...so something light happening at his home, until he settles down with his drama as well. Thing is we really do not know what kind of a person RK is and was. We just knew a part of him when Madhu was with him. It is now, we truly get to know him and so Bittuji and Rads being our connecting points to him.

When you think from writer point...you yourself think how you would have RK and Bittuji interact with RK...if them hatching plans against Madhu is not good. I mean I know I had never the creative talent...but I just don't see what's wrong with what they are doing. Anth mein wohi hona hota hai jo hona hota hai...

Rishbala: I found Madhu's reactions during that scene very telling, even before the tears. It has been maybe 2 days since the unwedding? She still very much reacts to RK, physically and emotionally. The numbness is wearing off. I think the humiliation was about the dress, certainly, but it was about how she reacted to him. Look at her face. There is a mix there- fear, yes, but there is a reaction to his touch. She is still attracted to him. And probably hates  herself for it. It certainly does not help her state of mind any.
As for RK? Like I said- it's all confusion there. He does something to hurt her deliberately, but does not follow through. He looks like he is in physical pain when he hears her cry, caresses his hand where her tears fell, runs after her without any thought when the lights go out, keeps calling her Madhu, lights up the dark for her (in face, he has a little smile as he says that line). Then the minute she slaps him, his face changes, and anger comes back.
Does he realize how much he cares? Or does his anger/ego wipe it all out? It was a little worrying how much strength he was exerting over her. Say what you will, in the before hate track, he never held her tightly enough that the fabric would rip. She was struggling against him and he was basically pinning her in place. Not done. And shows the level of his focus when it comes to her.
Does he want her out of his life? Who knows? But the way she feels towards him now, if he came with DIpali, she would probably feed them both sweets as celebration.
Which would anger him even more.
ST, I am confused.
Responded by Myself

@bold
AA, Agree.

She promised to herself that she cannot be affected of him and that was wearing off with him being able to sense what her body feels. Basically her secret was being out. That made her angry today. That called out for her sobbing and that "nafrat"

She is still in retaliatory mode and her crying was all about her opponent sensing what she wants to hide...because initially it is all about her cover up which will slowly wane away as she gets time to stand on her feet, have a bit of confidence and then time to take stock of what she actually lost and what she is left with. Its pure survival now and hence her reaction at his touch. She just cannot let him know what she thinks of the entire thing...her true sensibilities. Her argument...you want me to look hurt. No I will not. And if you ask me...what's wrong in that reaction ? See I am not being selfish for seeing Rishbala all the time. For me, if Madhu doesn't behave this way, it means she never loved him that much...it would look too frivolous to me if she was not holding it precious for her and hence safegaurding it from his eyes.

Further Commentary
When the drama of their fight was happening I was...WHERE IS THE DARKNESS THAT SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE AFRAID OF  and THAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO RESCUE HER FROM.  LOL!!!
When Madhu was looking at him hard, I was like...Thoda Andhera lao Bhai!!!! lol.

But as I said I am a hopeless shipper. I will watch all contrived episodes at romance without my thinking cap on.
Its like fairy dust has been thrown on you.

Frustration in the thread for their Confusion related reviews. Confusion word is the new fashion fad of the Forumites
Seeing you all so hapless about the drama shown to you...a drama of Ishq and romance...that never should have much rationale...and seeing myself so disconnected with you all...I just wanna tell you today...I will not press my like button to your posts. From here onwards, pls be assured that I will be reading your posts and that I will press like only when I truly like it. Reason being, I never like taking home negativity.  Sorry peeps. Making myself honest, a thing I have been wanting to tell you all from few days.

Real matters, practical matters do need our rationale and analytical mind.
Matters of heart, like with whom we connect is lot beyond our comprehension as many a times we are not the characters...we cannot be them, we don't think like them. That's the reason good story writers and dramatists add sub-plots of human interests which stimulates our mind.

At real, I have seen my classmate in college loving my senior for 1 whole year. Drama was off-sight when our senior passed out from the college. So this girl..everyday used to cry. Not one day was there when we did not see that spectacle. It was beyond our rationale. We were like "whatever!!!! " and used to walk away from her. No sympathy, no apathy, no empathy, total indifference. She too was like that to us. Normal on all other aspects except for the spectacle she used to make of herself. She didn't care people talking to her about it and yet in 2-3 minutes she used to send out a silent message as its off-limit topic for them.
Did they get married ever, get back together ? I don't know. May be not.

Then in post grad days, in the days of residential hostel with all kinds of loneliness rampant on campus, I have seen couples behaving as if they are almost married...only to go their separate ways once college ended. I was like whatever !!!

I have not indulged myself with romances (books) when young as they never appealed to me. But I read a lot...a lot of fiction. Now when I feel old like this...I don't like to read anything but accidentally read and liked stories like "To kill a Mocking Bird" and "Such a Long Journey" and "Harry Potter" . They touched my heart.  I recently read "The three Mistakes" by Chetan Bhagat and it did not touch my heart, though it was written good. I want to read "Midnight's Children" these days.

As for this MEIEJ...I think, I knew intuitively, it will have to be push and pull relationship and that too exerted by protagonists upon themselves. And that's why all drama related to them does not affect me much. Because in the end it is their love story and not mine. Why bother ?

Love unlike social ethics and decorum is not guided by any law. We just walk away from it or enjoy it. We cannot be voyeuristic about it and yet we are as long as the drama appeals to us. Friends play prank to get two friends patch up with each other, if they believe they deserve each other...if they believe they complete each other. Sometimes they don't deserve each other and yet love stories happen like "Qayamat se Qayamat Tak" and they die when people get involved in their story. And I played a prank on my friend along with my other friend to break her heart by making a mocking display of her affection for an undeserving person. Do I regret ? Nope. She was not fighting him for the hurt he gave her. She internalized all that pain and stubbornly stayed resolute and refused to do anything with it. But every personal moment of hers (not a responsible, familial or professional moment..she was still impeccable there) was hinged on that pain. I and my other friend decided we needed to break her. And we did. She went ballistic. But for us, that small victory was a miracle.

Arrey SD yaar - you have made me afraid to post sach bataoon!  I am second guessing my every thought ki - is it negative or constructive?  Have lots of thoughts(of course - when did you ever know me not to be full of bakwas things to writeLOL?!) but now I am biting the nails! Just think - if you and your saheliyan were capable of terrorising your that friend so successfully, what will you do to us here?  Hmmm.

Bhakti,

@bold1
Now I am guessing at the bolded portionErmm what did it mean. See my post is about my changing shift towards posts on this thread. So I am communicating my change of Like Policy that I used to adhere. From now onwards I shall read, glance but will press like only if the take home is good for me.  Reason is ...I explained...I see your futility at staying confused for two people that you are not. And if you are worried, you are not even supporting people those who are for or against them. Basically you want Rishbala to be in a frame and yet you dislike that they are thrown in. Here when I read those posts, sometimes I am pulling my hair.  For me simple...Show me Sense...Show me otherwise if not for this drama. Simple. Hammer down question to you. Now is that constructive explanation to you ?

As for humour or Bakwaas posts...Criticizing for the sake of being Critical does not appeal to me...just like being appreciative for the sake of being appreciative  does not appeal everyone. Itne saare to mood hote hain...Dikhao apna har jalwa har din...why repeat everyday same kind of rona dhona about "yeh kya confusion hai".   Or may be I shall change my opinion and thing that you are watching a jig-saw puzzle and so everyday, I will have to live with your expression of the progress made on the result.

On a serious note, I liked your fun post yesterday...the humorous elements. But want to tell you.  Fun also appeals to us when there is a belief involved in there. In the end...it all boils down to the level of conviction one has towards the write up. Like and Dislike are equally remarkable reactions to that level of conviction.

@bold 2
Arre humne kahaan use terrorize kiya ? Woh aise chadi humpe, ki hamaare dil kaanp gaye. We both were smiling between ourselves, pained and dil zor zor se dhadak raha tha. Jab baahar nikle apne ghar jaane ko, we were like...Chalo Mission Khatm hua.  Yaar, dukh to hameh bhi hua...saare raste chup the. Lekin bas tasalli thi ki usko samjha diya ki woh apne pyaar ki pooja na kare.  Seriously we were pained to do that to her, but it was needed for her to move on. Problem is she is too stubborn and headstrong...never listens to anyone.

Will this be a clue to your Confusion ?

Episode 202 Discussion: 22nd Feb 2013

An idle mind is Devil's Workshop. (RK plans making Madhu become the Duplicate for his heroine)

Events of the Episode
  1. Bittuji narrates the day's events to Radhaji at the dining table. RK snoops on them, interrupts, sends Bittuji away, pulls chair for his mother. When his mother asks to eat, he reminded of Madhu's memories around the table, leaves saying he is not hungry and had just come to pull the chair for her.
  2. Dips shamelessly walks into RK's room in her night gown. She calls Madhu as the dog whose tail cannot be straightened. She is upset that Madhu has given head massage to RK. RK gives his regular OUTT to Dips. As she starts walking out, RK calls her back and elicits a promise from her to service him upon his request without worrying the compromising situation it may pose on her marital status. Dips readily agrees too happy that RK atleast wants to do something with her.
  3. Trishna and Madhu coax Padmini to break her hunger strike. A normal cute scene between mother and daughters.
  4. RK and bittuji are waiting for the shoot to start. Madhu limps in, and walks straight to the heroine, ignoring RK. RK all concerned for his limping ex-wife.
  5. Heroine gets up from her chair, offers another chair to Madhu and asks her to sit. Madhu does not understand what's going on.
  6. RK walks to Madhu and the heroine. Heroine offers her chair to RK and asks him to sit with his wife and chat. Madhu looks on surprised at what story he told the heroine. RK says he doesn't want to disturb them and he leaves.
  7. Action shot- Saans mein saans (romantic song). RK looks on at Madhu with interest as if to attract her, while shooting with his herpoine. Madhu watches him, acts indifferent to him and his looks towards her and has tea.
  8. The director is not happy with shots and calls his technicians to fix the fan. Shooting is stalled.
  9. RK cooks up Level 2 assault on Madhu for Challenge Day-2 game. Plan - Have Madhu send off the Heroine under mishguided information from a random man that shooting is cancelled for the rest of the day.
  10. Director calls for shots ready & unfortunately Heroine is not there. Madhu upset for causing shoot cancellation. RK then brokers a deal with Director that Madhu can be made to act like the "duplicate" for the heroine.Episode ends.

Episode Reviews
By Myself
Hmm...My take. Turned out to be detailed as I cursorily glanced over reviews and some upsets peeps felt...which made me want to explain everything.

Bittuji - Radhaji talking and RK snooping on them.
While everyone is upset that why Bittuji and Radhaji seem to me talking in areas where RK is lurking around. Problem is not them, problem is RK himself. The house -mistress and the secretary, IMO have been talking in the same manner as before. Just that RK in his insecurity and loneliness has become more snoopy. Plus the dialogue writer/creative team need a situation where they can still have RK BBB'ng someone. Earlier, we were shown him BBB'ng Bhatias, his mother and sometimes Madhu. Now all that has changed. The Bhatias do not interest him. He has mended his relationship with his mother. And he has no more his Biwi. Who is left ? No one. Now here in his insecurity plays its part. From his household only two people protested against his treatment towards Madhu. Those were Radhaji and Bittuji. Since he is preoccupied with Madhu, he keeps thinking that the other two are also preoccupied by Madhu and hence his need to jump on them before he actually knows what they are talking about. His BBBing has lost lot of its charm, but still has the acidity and now added with bitterness at himself. This is bound to happen in his current state of mind.

Mother-Son /Radhaji and RK relationship
When Madhu was there, all Rads was yearning for was her son calling her Maa. Now that has happened and when her Bahu Madhu is not there...everytime RK calls Maa, we see that she is no longer happy as she keeps remembering what the person did to the one who gave her happiness abt the same. If she had not been scheming against RK, I would have liked to see her true facade with RK. Because she is scheming, she is very much okay giving pretentious look to her son about the relationship they have. RK does realize that his mother is not at all happy with him. I am tempted to think, how does he want to address this problem with his mother when he continues to respect her. While I give him time to come out of his preoccupied thoughts around Madhu, but it is also true, that he needs to show us what he planned to do with his mother after mending relationship with her and yet disappointing her faith in him and still calling her Maa...and saying like that "Main sirf aapke liye chair kheenchne aaya tha".

Padmini and her daughters Trishna and Madhu
Scene was so cute. Once in a while, these scenes are likeable. Glycerine has been renamed Dynamite. The garish pink nail color on Padmini's nails though was not looking good.LOL

Dewar-Bhaabhi/RK-Dipali scene
Tumhaari nazar mein girke, apni nazar mein bahut upar uth jaaongi. How pathetic and how deperate of Dips. But seems there's clue for viewers. Because the dialogue writer will not write such a line if it had no meaning involved. If it was meant for our LOL, it did not evoke any such comic thought even as RK was leading her on with his 'playing with her lock of hair' ; and her sounding so begging for even a 'one second of his grace bestowed on her'. So I will take that dialogue as Ominous.

Madhu and Shraddha the new Heroine - Apology
I was expecting Shradda to apologize to Madhu for her rude behaviour to Madhu. I knew RK would manipulate the entire situation in such a way that he gets to do what he wants to do with Madhu with the rest of his crew respecting her as his. Its part of his power play when Madhu feels the hurt that others respect her because of him and not her efforts and its also part of his twisted pleasure that he has with his crew for giving him over importance and not supporting good people like Madhu. At the bottom of his heart, RK somewhere still likes courageous and kind people around him. So he gives indirect thappad to everyone (the crew especially) that they don't stand around numb and dumb and have to do things by taking initative. This I am talking from my work experience, where I have felt frustrated with my juniors for their lack of compassion within the team for not helping their team member for a work that I assigned, and to establish the same, I become a lashing boss for not being helpful.  I mean I like when my juniors break my rule for proving something better than what I envisaged. Its a tough fight, tough call, but I like the team dynamics involved.

The song shooting and the director's covered anger
The director was clearly seeing that RK was not doing the scene correctly with all his attention diverted to someone else. And maybe the director knew that RK was looking at his Ex-Wife Madhu. Instead of yelling at RK, he was yelling giving the excuse that fan was not working. IMO, the entire crew knew what was happening. But no one had the guts to blurt it out. or did I read the scene completely wrong...whatever...the pretence at fixing the fan goes on.

The CVs CONTRIVED execution of RK's kameenipanti (Making Madhu Duplicate for his Heroine)
Meanwhile RK the kameena has to play his game. Yes, today the first time used a soliloquy technique for RK where he seems to be talking aloud. The execution part of it was all clunkily handled. Fine he sends off Bittuji away, but if we are shown a soliloquy, then why not show it completely ? Why leave it half-way with them not showing is how he managed to have a man come and tell Madhu about shooting cancellation.
Bittuji Vs Madhu reacting to the shoot disruption and level of involvement in it.
Bittuji was quick to understand what RK was playing on. Years of experience. But Madhu was the bali ka bakra. She did not know at all that RK can do such things. For her everything was happening at real at face value. Her boss on the set was the Director and she took it so personally as a novice on the floor. She felt the onus of shoot cancellation on her shoulders and she was ready to pay the penalty. Serves her right to have listened to a random man. How do you learn such things in life ? Again work experience. We learn only through our mistakes. I felt bad for Madhu. She had to keep the job and at that point, there was no RK on her mind, but the fact that she caused a disruption to shoot with misguided information.

******************************************************************************************************
Overall liked the episode. Especially RK looking on Madhu while shooting with his heroine. Half the time, we can clearly see he is having fun with entire shooting. When Madhu was happily married to him and he looked forward to going home to her to have fun with her, all his shoots were so sincere. And now ...he just wastes time of the crew. Not seeing an RK here, seeing an Actor who does not have a grounded personal life.

By Kritika
>>>>Again he steps in with a plan which he knew the director will take...and gave her no option to opt out.. because she was responsible for the day's loss... giving her the guilt feeling.. After watching that last scene... I felt RK's character would make a SUPERB director in the show... He knows exactly what to say to convince people( a charmer he is), knows how to get the people to do what he wants them to do..by hook or by crook... makes a brilliant executor of all his PLANS...
Responded by SD
[SD]: totall agree with you. And that's the reason. He gets away with his tantrums and yet producers and directors and crew let him have his tantrums. Its as if he knows what his fans would like of him and its also that he knows where he has to draw the line. He is just a difficult person, but highly creative and a performer always. No one ...not even Kuku Bhatia can deny that that is a very good performer. He is therefore an RK, RK Sir, Hero, Chief and not Rishabh Kundra to people around him. He built a BRAND for himself and He lives upto that BRAND name...a Bratty BBBing Image with looks and debonair charm. That's what all his posters are about.

@Soundarya
>>> Madhu is now forced to duplicate for her and wear a revealing gown and, btw just a reminder her saree blouses were generally way more revealing than the gown. It's the concept I guess...
Responded by SD
[SD]: Me too. Thinking the same. I guess concept vs reality hits the middle aged like us rather than all. Anyways. I have to say, I would love to see DD in gowns and all. Her back this way was looking much more beautiful than the suggestive revealing of almost nothing blouses. Btw do you remember, in Women's era or some other magazine of 80's there was this cartoon of that woman character where her blouses were always made fun of as having to use a material worth of a handkerchief. Later on when I grew up, Mom told me that for the most revealing or deep necked blouses, the cloth needed is max.
Continuing on DD...In all the three soaps that she has done including this, she never could fully play the outgoing modern girl. As Muskaan Chaddha, she was a doctor, but was raised by conservative punjabi parents and so has to adhere to their standards, though by far, that's her only modern role, inclusive of the escapades she has with Rahul in DMG.

Though as independent observer, I shall say that a gown looks good without a scarf of stole when in the party/conversation etc. A scarf or stole is good only as outside accessory for gown or when we feel extremely cold. But yes, I get it that for Madhu it is difficult. But what about her revealing (backless) blouses ????
>>>VD looked yummy in the orange jacket, so much so that I even enjoyed the dance rehearsal with the heroine. His eyes were on Madhu, mine on him all the while. That hair blowing, the orange jacket and the song sequence would have been all better, if there was a dream sequence btw the lead pair!

@bold - True, there was something about them, they looked very much like husband and wife, completely in sync, and such a perfect, good looking couple..nazar lag gayiOuch. Though there was no touch between them.
something about the physical space between them I think. Do the creatives really think so much, and insert these nuances or are we reading too much ??

They have to. And therefore they do so many scenes and takes for just a 20 minute episode. That's what the editing and creative team is about along with cinematography team. Its all about framing. Frame and content and how it looks good. Dialogues, screenplay, lighting, colors, visuals...all create drama and mental imagery.  There is the obvious through drama and there is the subtlety with imagery. That is where grip and thrill comes and inspite of a seemingly villainish or grey male lead, we are able to take him.

@all (future track)
Talked with Zoya. Her mother told her that ...revenge drama was expected of RK. But what she also sees is RK did lot of other good things for Madhu's family, reconciled with his mother and did not do anything physically with Madhu. She also feels that spurning Madhu's love is going to kick him bad.

I asked her to check with her mom, what she feels about Dips.

Listening to what Zoya's mother feels about RK and then what I myself feel about Radhaji's feelings, I think RK is all set to lose the 3 day challenge to Madhu. Then Madhu as against frame of mind of not losing, will fill her mind with winning the rest of 27 days of the challenge. In all of this as RK loses in to what his mother wants of him, regret losing Madhu's love in acceptance of it, then the way, they can give a lift to falling RK with what he does to Dips. Because time has come for RK to scheme against Dips. He splashed water so openly on her in her room, showing physical aggression for the 1st time abd yet Dips did not learn anything and came to his room in night gown.  And biggest clue is Dips called Madhu a dog...as in Kutte ki poonch kabhi seedhi nahin hoti. RK has so far given it all back to Dips when she insulted Madhu. I think that therefore, this excessive shamelessness of Dips and insulting of Madhu (ignoring his command)  will make him vindictive against her into scheming something for her.

There is no doubt that R.K gets affected by Madhu...by her indifference and by her memories.
Then is it not very smart of him to make madhu act opposite him as a body double or
in future may be as his heroine...this way he can hide his true feelings of concern, love,
affections, and tenderness towards her in between action and pack ups there by safe guarding his ego without having to run the risk of it getting punctured...This also gives him the added advantage of humiliating madhu again and again...MB would have to go through this process of feeling his Love and responding to it but, only to have to break this dream with a shout of 'Cut it' from the director...she would be living his betrayal again and again...For R.K, if Madhu is not breaking she is not moving on in her life either...What a painful and heart-wrenchingly addictive this story is going to be...
R.K is already addicted to his need to gain control of Madhubala...I first noticed this trait in him during that Party night...even mentioned somewhere in the ED thread back then...That night When MB comes out...lights focus on her face..the look on her face was that of a frightened lamb, knowing well that she is the scape-goat,getting down the stairs as if she was going to her slaughter place...vulnerable to the extent of hoping compassion from her executioner, relying on him to protect her...that vulnerability in Madhu's eyes gave R.K immense satisfaction...the satisfaction of having gained control on his wild horse...and hence reaches out to her and presents her proudly to his guests just like a horseman prides over his prized, possessed and controlled wild horse...but,its astonishing to see and realize that things haven't changed much in this aspect since that day...his inflated ego and need of control still rule over his heart...With his every failure to break Madhu R.K's determination, fixation and madness to succeed in it seems to be multiplying...Its pity to see that however strong his Love has grown towards MB it still seems to be falling short in front of his madness of 'breaking madhu'

Hima,
Like your note. After a long long long time. Nice to see you.
However..sorry... would like to mention that I disagree with your very first line. Rest of everything gels for me.

>>>There is no doubt that R.K gets affected by Madhu...by her indifference and by her memories.
RK does not get affected by Madhu as that means he will get weakened. RK is always attracted to Madhu and this is tormenting him as he does not want to remember her or be still attracted to her. His attraction for her is what is killing him...making him act that stupid and that is the reason he wants to drive her away from him.

@Controlling...totally agree. Along with above, which is compelling need to repel her, this controlling of her becomes his compelling need to keep her close to him. Basically he is his own enemy. His bad side ...the ego making him do those compelling things.

As for Madhu, she gets affected by him and it then becomes her weakness. So currently we see her in a state of mind where she is teaching herself to not get affected by his verbal rants or physical acts. She was clearly getting affected by his dance with the heroine, but then felt great to show him that she is not looking at him. This act of hers appealed to him greatly...pleasing his controlling mind.

Shri,
Yeah...its been a while...but,always feels good to share thoughts in this thread.
I understand when you say R.K is attracted but,not affected by MB...He doesn't seem to be affected by MB's pain at least emotional pain...may be that's because it contradicts his sole purpose of emotionally torturing MB to the extent of breaking her.Hence he is very brutal and to me even comes across as sadistic. His zeal, resolve to win over MB doesn't give him scope to empathize her.Madhu is his enemy, his opponent...and this part of him is overiding the part which probably cares, feels, pines for her...Of course, this,we will know for sure only in the coming episodes...Its R.K's junoon to bend MB now...hope one day it would be his junoon for her Love...

does he not get affected when Madhu is injured physically! He went up to her and couldnt control is emotions isnt that being weakened? He did not want to show her that her pain hurts him too? He doesnt get affected by her emotional pain. I would say her indifference did bother him in thursday's epiosde as he couldnt digest the fact that she was indifferent to him dancing with another woman.

Sona,
@bold. Both Madhu and RK will always care for each other. But here the problem between them is not about each taking care of the other. Problem is RK's acknowledging love for her.  It is the matter of love that is becoming an issue, which now is taking the shape of trying to be indifferent to love.

What were they doing in Vanity Van with the massage memories. He was killing the memories and she showed stoically she will not get affected by his instigation.

What happened outside the vanity was something that always ties them to each other becoming their weakness to each other. RK (as confessed to Madhu) schemed against Madhu when he saw her caring side of saving his life. Who can guarantee that Madhu will not use this knowledge about RK that he cannot see her in pain or being hurt by someone else other than him.
