Episode 242 Discussion: 10th April 2013

Madhu foils RK's desperate attempt to establish Ishq Equation and shows the mirror of truth to him, RK goes crazy, kidnaps Madhu and takes her to RK Mansion as his Biwi.

Events of the Episode
  1. Sultan explains to Aryan that Madhu is with her husband and he needs to understand as he explained to him previously that not everything in life is got as we wish.
  2. Madhu rejects RK's proposal of going back to him, turning the table on his hopes through showing her good times. She shows all the worse things about their relationship.
  3. She turns away from him and starts leaving. RK stops her and says he is going to take his Biwi forcibly away, as he is not proposing to her but taking home what belongs to him. He kidnaps her, locks her in his car, drives home and does not leave her hand even once.
  4. Back at RK Mansion, seems he had everything planned as he was so sure of her homecoming. He has Band Baaja Baaraat waiting for him. When he comes for Grih-Pravesh, the band starts playing.
  5. Madhu tries to free herself and go away from there, RK doesn't let her and instead lifts her, closes the doors, ready to take her to his room. He gives out instructions to servants to get his room ready, with all alcohol thrown away and also gives cooking instructions :))
  6. Sikky is very happy at Madhu's homecoming. Dipali is sizzlingly angry. She taunts RK, Madhu, but RK just snubs her into silence. Bittuji comes running that Press wants statement about his bringing Madhu home. Rk asks him to take care by his discretion and if he does not understand to follow him to his room.
  7. In his room, RK asks Bittuji to tell the press that temporary phase of separation between RK and Madhu was a hubby-wife's Nok-Jhonk. RK sees the servant arranging the quilt and he yells at the servant for touching the bed. Meanwhile Madhu flees from there. RK is mad in anger, frustration and desperation. He has a desperate face which also reflects all pain. Episode ends

Can anyone dare to
Call you normal?

Baby, we'll
Never be normal

Episode Reviews - Myself

Except for Sikky and his Dialogues, nothing was hilarious to me.  I knew that this would happen to me when I actually watch the episode. Watching SBB pictures of the same scenes on Monday sent me on a laugh riot and at that time I knew that in reality there will not be anything to laugh about.  And this is what happened today.  Only Sikky really gave me fun and good moments...truly. He was like heaving a sigh of relief that someone is back to keep his wife in check.
Sikky dialogues RFOL
Return of Bhabhiji - Part II
Mubarak ko Wifey ! Bhgawaan ne meri Sun li Ise kehte hain Complete Family. Sabke paas Apne Apne Pati aur apni apni Patni. Koi bhi Idhar Udhar Gadbad Nahin Karega. Isi Baat pe tumhaaari nazar toh utaaru

The episode was really HIGH on drama and entertainment.  There was anger, stupidity, Panic and absolute craziness...one enacting madness incarnate and the other recognizing madness and trying to flee from it. .Must say ...the CVs beautifully directed the craziness.
Madhubala was literally kidnapped by Rishabh Kundra.  How is HE going to snap out of it ? He seems to be frozen with whatever he has been thinking. He was not this mad when he married. he atleast gave her 24 hour notice and was waiting for revert call. But now...he is standing on a precipice.
Where is Radhaji ? Someone needs to slap him real hard to knock sense...like give an Electric Shock. Shocked
Things that caught my attentionGeek
  • RK and Madhu's dialogues in the studio
RK to Madhu - Ateet ki Aag ko jalaati rahogi, tum bhi jalogi aur main bhi jaloonga
Main is aag ko bujhaana chaahta hoon - Question I have is : Rishabh Kundra ! you just blurted it out. Were you thinking about it all these days ? Or was it just for argument's sake ?

MB to RK - Na Koi Biwi, Na koi Ishq, Na koi Junoon.  It was a good answer to Rishabh Kundra, making him go absolutely crazy. Kuch to hua...It had to happen to that man.

  • RK ka dimaag sach mein satak gaya hai, khisak gaya hai. Someone really needs him to calm him down. Gosh!!! what did the CVs do ? Where did they send away Radhaji without any notice ? Did RK send her away to some place in his plan ?
  • The way RK reacted to his servant keeping the quilt on his bed. He actually yelled at the servant for touching his bed. Really ? !!!! Was he upset at the two different quilts ?
  • The way he still kept his sense for Bittuji's questions, giving instructions to servants, observing Sikky and smouldering fire at Dipali.
  • Dealing with Press - I was caught by people, Bittuji and MB upset about the Nok Jhonk word used by RK as his press statement for all that happened between him and MB.  I am personally curious to know, what was the Press calling that ...Bittuji was not clear about dialogue wise. Was the Press thinking the couple is seperated, estranged or how much story they know about him. Actually, how did the Press got to know so soon that he was bringing Madhu home ? I am confused. And I really don't know how to react to Press. All I know is ...we have to be careful about what we speak when issuing statements. We don't go about issuing statements that are actually the truths of your life better known only to you.
The Feeling I got - RK needs to cry. Cry his Pain out.
I think, RK needs to be tied up, hands and legs and made to vent his anger & frustration. By giving him physical freedom, he is only messing up more. If he is locked up, even physically, then atleast he can have a heart's fill of crying at his situation, out of his physical inability to do anything and thus realize that he has accept the loss. He just needs to yell by himself for all the pain he feels. He doesn't need to have Madhu around as he thinks.

Someone should help him...seriously. Radhaji ...you are my only hope at this moment. Because that's the only relation where he can atleast listen to. Where did you go ? Why were you not there to stop the madness ?

Screentime distribution.
  • RK-Madhu scene  exclusive - 7.42 mins
  • Sultan-Aryan-Kaka - 2.27 mins
  • Drama at RK Mansion -inclusive of all characters present - 10.05 mins
Seemed a really long episode.
Total airtime = 20.14 mins

Reacting to Loss.
Rishabh Kundra does not how to handle loss.  Seems he was born without that ability. As a kid he did not accept his father's death. And later his mother. And now Madhu. Why doesn't he cry ? And what happened to Padmini's curses ? How come is able to sleep ? Going by the logic of how he handled his dad's death, the guy should not be sleeping.

I have not read the reviews...and I shall start reading in a bit. But reacting to one of my friends's pm...I have to say...IMO ...am not waiting for breakdown. It has happened today - the moment when he saw Madhu fleeing from the bedroom. He was on the verge of it, he snapped at the servant for doing the bed and when he saw Madhu fleeing...he totally disconnected from sense. Ho chuka yaar - poora khisak gaya !! He has actually gone mad.  Now he just needs to snap out of it. I think Sultan showing his gun will either snap him out or trigger something else.

RK  has grown up so much as a loner, that he is able to masquerade his tougher exterior. He just needs to be held in physical grip...someone else's hands and embraces for him to snap out of his pain, share his pain and thus understand human touch and sense around  him. He seems to be just floating around...not finding any hold. God! Where is his mother ?!!!

CONVERSATIONS
Myself
The way I see it, to cope up with his situation, Rishabh Kundra needs FAMILY CARE now and not Madhu. She is the reason of his pain and he cannot demand anything from her.  And seriously where is his Family or Mother.
Sorry, I am harping on the same thing, as if I have gone mad.

I have to disagree...Radhaji or any family care won't heal RK in this situation...Madhu is the reason as well as the ONLY antidote for his madness...that's just how it goes with RK...He will not get any semblance of sanity back unless he has Madhu and her love back...The only understanding he needs right now is from Madhu...but the situation is so complex...he is making it worse for himself and Madhu is in no position to give him that understanding as of now

Responded by myself
That's why someone else than Madhu. Why Madhu should become his medicine yaar.. ?? Seriously !!!!! That's bollocks !!!  He needs a person who is NOT the SOURCE of PAIN or RELIEF. He needs a DISCONNECT from HIS MADNESS...and so someone completely different who will take away from his craziness.
Aisa thodi na paagal ko woh de denge jo woh maang raha raha hai ?!!!!
Madhu chahiye Madhu Chahiye...NOPE
He needs SENSE more than MADHU.

Responded by AreYaar
LOL well who has managed to get through to him before? Radhajj? She's already told him the truth a million times...told him to admit it too...has he?

You're not understanding what I'm saying...until he has Madhu back with him and the assurance that she isn't going anywhere, he will continue to be on this madness spree...something has to give b/w them...no one else can fix it.

Responded by myself
@bold1 - See that's his misfortune. He doesn't have anyone around him. Even his mother...is like the new one...(as in not long standing) ...but still...Everyone knows, when one is crazed, people talk to them out of it...and its slow process.  He would definitely have listened to his mother that's why CVs sent her away to some place. Because they cannot show him slapping him second time.
@bold 2 -No, yaar, even if I understand it...clinically it is wrong. This is not how HEALING happens.
Look I enjoy the entertainment.  But thing is I could not laugh at his drama. It was gripping, but it was also madness and pain for both RK and Madhu...so as a viewer, I am getting concerned. For entertainment, we cannot have Madhu become doctor for him...but if she stays only for a day or two; like a kidnapped person, being held as a hostage...and they hash it out between themselves, then I am okay.

Long term saath rahna - I will be unable to digest. I mean I will be unable to agree with things.
Responded by AreYaar
I think that is likely what will happen...I wasn't suggesting a permanent solution anyways...that will take time...but in the IMMEDIATE he needs that assurance that she will stay...that she loves him.
Responded by blacklambo
This kind of help works for someone like Madhu, who has always had family support and has been brought up in a loving family atmosphere.  Communication between members becomes an integral part of family culture then.

RK, on the other hand, had alienated himself from his own flesh and blood for the past 16 years.  His reconciliation has been very recent and does not go deep deep enough yet.  He is still not seeking Rji out. RK is shown to merely answer her questions when she comes to his room or stops him in the hallway. He is speaking to her when spoken to.

This is not to say that family care will not help him.  It will help but not to the extent he needs.  RS replied to someone I know that RK's redemption will be different.  Go figure!
Responded by dramacrazy12
Yes and no Shri...on normal course of action ...that would have been best course of action but for RK- his relationship with his mother is very new and he does not listen to her  with 100% trust. If I had to be honest there are only two people who manage to reach him...Dips and Madhu. Both of them are prejudiced.
Radha would have reached him eventually if there was time but Paddy's handling of situation, Madhu's cluelessness and Sultan's increasing attraction has forced RK's hand. If he waits to resolve, understand the situation with clear mind...the prize will be lost. So he is busy securing the prize first or rather keeping it out of anyone's hand and then focussing on resolving the situation.
He cannot demand anything from Madhu but she is his best bet to snap out of his craziness just like he is her best bet to impress the danger Sultan brings with him in her life.

Responded by Red_Opium
Shri,
I believe during time of crisis and calamity any type of positive support is necessary, it helps greatly with the healing process.  However, source of support is not limited to family; at times we could find a shoulder to lean on outside our family circle.  Currently, RK has two people who genuinely care for him: Radha and Bittuji; however, the man not too often willingly accepts help or any advice.
Today he appeared to me as a long string of firecracker that was bursting nonstop.  The desperation in him was being masked by: drastic set of actions, and nonstop flow of sarcastic dialogues.  In the midst of all this chaos, Radha might be able to offer some peace but the question is will he let her advice him?  I do agree with you, he needs to snap out of this state mind (the faster the better)'
@RK=Crazy, RK agrees with your labeling LOL.  In today's episode, he declared himself as up-normal, rather then a psychopath.
Responded by river123
So here's how I'm seeing the dramatis personae in the RK unraveling drama:
  • Radha: the Mother.  Will provide sage advice that her son may or may not take, and help him calm down somewhat.
  • Sultan: the self-appointed Third Wheel.  Will be the cause of bringing matters to a head.
  • Madhu:  the Queen.  She holds all the cards and will ultimately be the only one to pull RK out of his downward spiral.  I am very intrigued by what she will do, how she orchestrates (knowingly or unknowingly) the direction of events and the story itself.
Re Family Involvement

Thank you Pooja, thetelleroftale,  for taking your time to write on Family Involvement needed for Family Member gone berserk in tempestuous passions/issues/losses, inspite of the knowledge that Plot requirement is to Do Away with mother involvements for Crazy Ends.   It certainly helps people get stabilized removing them from their focus and possessed thoughts.  Thank God! the CVs did not show Radhaji as some statuette unable to do something there (if she had been there) as the TRP junta who understand what Radhaji stands for, would have been displeased.  Its well known fact, Adult Children will not want parents around then when they are emotionally vulnerable...leads to Self-Esteem/Ego Issues, but at the same time, Parents in their unconditional support for their children are the only ones who through aspects of being blood relations, help the sufferer look beyond Self-Esteem and accept that he need Help and that he can have his weaker moments for restoration of sanity.  And all of this becomes twice as significant if the Adult child happens to the Male Person.

Reviews from Others

By apolloartemis

Ah RK, your capacity for self-denial is amazing. And one only emulated by politicians- the humiliation, the pain, the sheer destruction you wrecked on Madhu becomes a tiff? Wow. And on top of that- everything is going to be the same. Oy Vey. Not happening, my dear superstar. Not happening.

I'm actually glad its going this way. Extremes=entertainment. A part of me is appalled RK is doing this. The rest of me can't wait to see his deconstruction as the track goes on. His desperation, his denial are so wonderfully rendered, when he finally registers that his equation with Madhu has changed, not because of Sultan but because of what he did, that will be lovely to behold. How he rebuilds himself, how the dynamics between him and Madhu change, all will make for a very entertaining track.
I liked that Madhu fought back. She's still mixed about him, but very fearful of what he is doing. It's been so long since she's seen him like this, and I don't think his intensity has ever been focused on her this way. But this is also good- Madhu needs to see RK's every facet for the relationship to go forward. After such a betrayal, unless and until RK completely bares himself to Madhu, by purpose of by accident, how will she believe him? And how can she trust the actions until she sees how out of control he actually is? Our most genuine reactions are our rawest, and that is what Madhu will be seeing. I have faith in my Madhu and her emotional strength- she'll weather this storm and come out stronger for it. Don't know where she'll be with relation to RK but I know she won't be with Sultan.
That brings us to the "Oh, Heaven, I feel like I am in the tower of london hanging by the chains" segment of the show. Suryan- can't be bothered to type them together.
Ah, Sultan, I can see why so many girls are gaga over you- your style, the dulcet tones of your voice. I'm a fan. No wait, I'm not.
Good though that he was a disciplinarian. Please don't encourage your kids obsession with Madhu. Its bad for him and bad for you. Go back to Dubai and make eyes at some married women there.

AA,
Liked your review there. Bolded part is beautiful.  It is beautiful because I sensed as if now you see some hope, in one or the other way.  May be they finally came up with some sense in what they show,  because, after a long time, your review came up like this...especially post Feb days, where u decided to just go for watching the paraphernalia rather than the drama.

The return of Bhabhiji-Part II

A mad riot by RK!!!!!!

Sikky was the most happiest of the lot that Bhabhiji is back. LOL

Sikky and RK were the dialogue ke dukaan today!!!!!

Responded by myself
Totally agree Zoya.  The CVs actually well directed back to back episode about RK-Unravelling, RK-Craziness.  Madhu was really like...whom I am seeing here ?!!!  Wish she had seen this man before LOL  Btw...I am not supposed to notice Dipali...but have to say, Seema Mishra was fuming mad with disappointment as she gets snubbed by RK, Sikky and angry at her part played in getting Madhu back. She was seething in anger.  Good acting there.

The way I saw dominating emotional expressions in the characters for the actors
  1. VD -RK - Craziness
  2. DD -MB - Panic, Shock and Absolute need to run away from there.
  3. Sikander - Sikky - Happiness
  4. SM -Dips - Seething Anger
  5. IM -Bittuji - Perplexed
  6. Servants - Crazed in zealous work like their master LOL
The Band Baaje waale stopped the moment Madhu was saying, "RK let me go" LOL  Intelligent guys.

Like we discussed, yes CVs use RK as their puppet/pivot for running all their crazy experimentation in the name of twist within already crazy drama. And VD does deliver what they want of him. I would have cried buckets for making me a villain in revenge drama. But this guy played that villain and now this crazy person.  But for that matter, I should applaud that these actors agreed for crazy drama and delivered the needful...Shama Deshpande also for once being the Leaky Tap, Padmini for being Mother India, Balraj for that Crazy Father, Dips for being Despo. Sikky for being the Loser, Shamsher for having turned him into a three time murder attempter, Madhu for running Crazy MEIEJ drama and Sultan for agreeing to be most unbelievable Gangster for a ridiculous Gangster Track.

Red_Opium
Today's episode offered everything: calamity, drama, comedy, dullness (Sultan's scene only), and excitement; It was just none stop entertainment.  I'm still laughing at Sikky's dialogues; the man was so darn funny LOL.  I hope he gets more scenes that could provide a little comedy relief in the near future.  I will be back to discuss RK and his band, baja, and baraat!
@Ananya, you are not dreaming, the hand kiss did happen.

Soundarya22
What an episode! Lived up to the nautanki promised.

I loved:
  • Madhu giving it back to RK, forcing him to remember each time he humiliated her
  • Madhu not realising that his love has reached junoonesque proportions, her utter shock at being kidnapped from  the studio
  • RK's first kiss.. never mind it was on her hand
  • Dipali's frustration, Sikky's happiness LOL
  • madhu running away LOL...RK, you're driving her away, please wake up, calm down, and say sorry
  • RK's dialogues, RK's expressions before he takes her home - helpless in front of her, helpless at not knowing how to right the situation. Nothing works, because he did all of this and more during his revengeful love drama, and she believed him then. How is he going to make her believe him? if he lets her go, there is that paranoid fear of losing her to Sultan.
I did not like:
  • .Nok jhok, RK.??...satyanaash ho...after all that anticipation of the great RRR. Do you ever want her back in your life??
  • Sultan-Aryan-Kaka combination - am bored out of my skull with this so called gentleman.
MarathiMulgi
Fabulous analysis from everyone as usual. Today's scenes were by no means hilarious. RK's famous dialogues could not mask the gravity of his desperate situation however he tried.Everyone agrees he needs help but there is no one who can really help him. The 2 candidates Radha and Madhu are no good right now. So how can we make RK take his medicine? Bring the 3rd person in, a stranger who is no way connected to him, who will threaten to take away his favorite toy from him maybe by holding him at gunpoint.

There is a saying in marathi called "Sonarane kaan tochane". It means for ear piercing ceremony the jeweler (Leela or Ananya can help me with the exact word here) is brought home. He does not waste time in pampering the child thinking oh will it hurt him or not.He just pierces the ears, gives back the crying child to his mother and goes away. RK needs that shock treatment. The realization that there exists someone powerful (maybe more than him) who can take away Madhu from him if he does not recover from this self-destructive phase and get back to relationship rebuilding phase with Madhu.

I feel that is the purpose of having Sultan loitering around in this love story. To give a hard kick to RK to bring him back to his senses. Just my opinion. CVs as usual will have something else planned for RK.

Myself
As you all must be aware of my morning's fiasco with MAIN forum perceived propriety, where I have been advised about several things ...and one of which happens to be for me "to go and look for meaning of psychopath..."

After watching the episode, RK came across as "Pagla gaya" in Hindi and "Gone Crazy" in English. He did not look psycho to me.

So as advised I did look for the meanings.  And here is the meaning and I also will give the source links.

I bolded the parts that I felt from the episode.

full bang on episode. RK the absolute kameena so unapologtic. i was absolutely enjoying it though deep down i know this is such a wrong means of fighting for the end(her love). i thought i am kameeni to be so crazy about this ridiculouly stylish crazy super star. Madhu sure is the oldest member on the list. after thing get settled between them they will have a laugh remembering this. At some point he will surely breakdown before her.

"maine tumhe itni baar dekha hai jitni baar tumne apne aap ko nahi dekha"(ur dressing table mirror)----- i loved the dialogue.
RK bashers after this uske oopar chad jayenge poora rashan paani leke. but this is called entertainment.     Love u RK, no matter what
Sorry not a proper analysis like all u wonderful people here are capable of

It is still straight and I liked it for it being so simple. The bolded lines made me smile.

Even I was smiling at that dialogue of his.  God!!! Madhu is seeing someone else...a person she never knew...this guy before her expresses how he used to admire her, and she gets nervous, who is this crazy person, who saw me so many times LOL.  RK -Unravelled is something that Madhu wants to RUN away from him.
