The Dramatist talking to The Viewers.
Increasingly ST & CVs have taken this route to have the viewers pally along with them. We saw how in the entire Revenge Drama, ST managed the reconciliation between New Twist and Viewer Shock. If that went on for entire February month, they gave an official closure through the "Rishbala-Getting Drunk and Pouring their Hearts Out-needed for viewers and goal-setting for upcoming drama" Track over last three days. This officially is a declaration from CVs to the Viewers that, they need not go an did for skeletons from the graves and that there are no actual deaths and that it is still a running story.
Look at the way CVs achieved the shift of themes from Feb to March month.
Thursday - EP 207 - Order of the Day-EVERYONE must attend the Party and GET DRUNK
While seemingly RK is yelling aloud to Madhu those instructions. But in reality it was for viewers as well. And like Madhu none of us walked away from the party, had the odd tasting cola from a broken bottle, being blind to the fact that seal is broken and we got drunk like her.
Yes, if you remember, we all called it stupidly contrived drama, discussed drunkenness, behaviour of regular alcoholics and one time drunkenness. Just like Madhu cannot say NO to RK induced drama, even us viewers cannot say NO to CVs induced MEIEJ drama.
For ex: Other than my first episode take which was hugely being sarcastic, I saw that I had a calming effect with wholistic picture (in the circular fashion) with my response to two takes from others that day. Check it out.

Since I'm so late, I won't get into the details of the episode. I just wish the transit between the last two episodes was a little more smoother. The KC scene came out of nowhere. We do not have KC ritual in my region but growing up with bollywood and tv, I think even I have the basic rules mastered (given that is how you are to do it in reality like they show on tv). Today, it felt the team have conjured up everything around the "drunk scenes".
With zero knowledge about liquor and its effect, I won't get into the debate about drunk RK's authenticity and will take you guys' word for it. There was nothing that I took from today's episode apart from the fact that love-lorn RK, when gets drunk, looks and acts hella cute. Better I'll wait for today's episode and see things through before jumping down to a conclusion.
Plot wise, I'm at loss again. Where do the CVs want us to head? Ruthless RK, angry RK, shrewd RK, bereft RK, puppy faced RK - why is this show called Madhubala again? And aren't they moving a little too fast to give us these Rishbala moments? Are they really necessary plot-wise or the CVs just want us to stay put?
But then again, me complaining proves one thing. Its impossible to make everyone happy at the same time.

Exactly my thought process. Each and every line. I almost had the same feeling and as I felt disconnected with the episode, my sarcasm kicked in...else honestly, I would have crossed on the video file.:D See I love the show so much, cannot commit the wrong of NOT watching even if it is crap sometimes [Hopeless me!!!]

I dont understand why Madhu decided to stay back for the party. Any other girl would have told RK that she already won the 30 day challenge, so she has nothing to prove to anybody, least of all to him and left that place with dignity! Dont get me talking on her drinking the odd-tasting cola in a party where Vamps and Vampire roam around unleashed!

Peach, you couldn't come up with that yesterday when I needed it most. I had a crappy day with with one of the Sales guy making senseless manouevering of having his project get a priority at my desk. Now when you talk of vampire and vamp, it almost fits the situation I had ...So this Sales guy was being the Vampire sucking my blood and I was being a Vamp to him, for making him so manipulative to get his work done. True the world is one hell of a party with odd tasting cola drinks and vamps & vampires ruling the roost. Not even one coffee and tea tasted good yesterday.[Applause]
Friday - EP 208 - The needed talk -Two inebriated souls talk to each other-The Viewers Listen.
As the drunken tete-a-tete progresses between Rishbala, the viewers get to listen of the lurking emotions at their subconscious level. As the viewers listen, they have their emotional reactions.
Our ED thread is a witness to that, where we have excited emotional outbursts for 4 pages, we called for a cooling off period and when we resumed discussing it was all about our resignation to the new undercurrents of the story against the irreconciliable facts of the plotlines from the CVs. Look at some of the conversations between people

Could'nt watch the episode continuously so not much to say:
Last but not the least, yes, it is revenge after all, i know we were hoping there would be some grand reason that would absolve him of his heartless act. Now we need to move on as well...

So much for hope! This episode clears it, his junoon for revenge was so strong that he had mortgaged his soul and heart to achieve it. Well, if I have to make logical sense of the past 6 months, it's like Madhu said, "He didn't know when to say -Cut". He lived his act and ended up with his acting as his reality.
Hats off to the CV's & VD - that they have made a character with such capacity for manipulation - to look so vulnerable. Like Madhu, it's not possible for me to hate RK.
It's you become what you act in life - if I act at kindness everyday, it becomes a habit and I become a kinder person. He acted at loving Madhu so well, ended up taking care of her as a habit and ends up caring for her.

Oh god guys, atleast spare Right Kamina today. [Lol] He wasn't acting today, for god's sake [lol] Had he been acting, why would he act lost yesterday while searching Madhu when noone was looking at him? And why would he act with a drunk Madhu?
the right kamina always use to act like he was in love with Madhu when Madhu wasnt around. He told Bittuji and Dipali not to question her character. Told Dipali she has a pure heart and told Bittuji she is always to your face never back stabs. You cant really expect coherency in the show naa. You never know what your going to get??

Sona, his love, his feelings, care and concern were as TRUE as the revenge itself... It's like revenge is the outset but the events of the last 5 months is the inset.. He truly lived every moment he spent with her..Nothing was fake... even today he told that he imagined her when it was dipzy... And here goes our dear ST's tweet "Nothin was a lie"
When the time came for him to put the curtain down, he knew his feelings for her are a liability... But then, he prolly thought that the happiness of his victory would snub and overpower all of those feelings... But that didn't happen... he was unhappy with his act... then he continued living with the consolation that she at her place and him at his place... but the second day, this girl lands up on his set, his whole game blew up right on his face... he lost in his own game and he also lost the girl... To supress his real feelings, with her presence around him, he tries to pacify himself to hate her but even that does not happen...
And then he says "takleef hoti hai, dard hota hai, par theek hai"--- I think he is trying to make peace and live with the consequences of his actions... I know the convo is still left but this is what I made out of it..

Good Epi- but I was a little irritated with how DD kept her eyes closed during a majority of the drunk scenes (or lowered them so much they looked closed. I kept getting distracted and thinking "Is this a drunk sequence or a sleepwalking sequence?!"
Liked the RK/Rishab dichotomy. A long while ago, we talked about how RK was the hardened exterior, but now we see that it is Rishab who is the catalyst- for love or hate. It's like-Rishab is active, and RK is reactionary- either to his inner Rishab or to Madhu. Rishab acts on love/hate. RK mops up the messes he makes. And ofcourse, reacts to Madhu when he can. I hope that makes sense. It's not two different personalities in his head, but rather two differing persona depending on the circumstances- like masks one takes off and puts on. Both are real, but both have circumstances where it becomes "more real"
This made a lot more sense in my head.
But the drunk conversation was enlightening - in vino veritas indeed (means, in wine truth). I felt bad for RK (though to be honest, the pain expression was not very convincing because he was drunk), so I went and saw the feb 13th epi where Madhu was screaming for him, which helped me gain perspective.
And there is me, who could not be helped and recall RS interview few days back which clarified lot of things on the same line thus cementing the parallel interaction with viewers on the current plotlines vis-a-vis past and future plotlines. RS has a reference to the new entry as well.

If you had listened to Raghuvir's Shekhawat's interview (link present in media thread), he clearly says, RK is grey, but that doesn't mean that he is all bad. There is definitely good in him and at times we have to tap that as well and that it was pretty much the time in present context. Plus Shekhawat also said that all characters in MEIEJ are not black and white characters, they are very human and flawed characters.
Saturday - EP 209 - The promise - Reciprocate to my heart's wish and act upon your heart's say. Peace Prevails.
As the episode unfolds, we fall into a harmonic zone. You can see for yourself. There is only 4 pages activity in the ED thread. Ofcourse now the focus on the plotlines has shifted to all kinds of apprehensions over the new Entry, so much that once again some of the viewers have failed to see the Promise of Rishbala as established in the Drunken tete-a-tete.
Here is the snapshot of few conversations that reflect the mood on seeing Saturday episode and Forum reaction to TB news on Aninash Rekhi.

I take back what I said about this being a pointless track. While I still don't like that all these have happened while they were intoxicated, but I was fairly surprised today by how this track made me feel in the end. No, it was not an eyeopener for me like it has been for many. But now I realize that the track was not needed for plot advancement. It was for our emotional comfort. And somewhat for RK-Madhu's too.
The first 10mins of today was in continuation from last 5mins of yesterday. RK and Madhu having a heart to heart. And in my opinion, that was genuine. What looked a little offbeat yesterday, was in perfect sync today. RK's honest confessions about how he thought he'dfeel and how he actually feels right now was something we're well aware of. Nonetheless, it was heart-wrenching to hear him say it because it made him so vulnerable and helpless. The ego-maniacal man was reduced to tears hearing Madhu say she'll never come back to him or never be able to trust him. Madhu turning back around and asking for a tight hug is what surprised me today. She was always in love. She melting at the sight of his breakdown was expected. But asking to be loved - that startled me.
Not complaining though because this was the hug that every people in this forum have been waiting for. When it happened, I phangurrled for a few minutes too.
Here's what my issues with the track were plotwise. This was a pseudo reconcilement track in disguise. For a few seconds there, RK/Madhu also thought they have reconciled. Hence, Madhu says, "Hum ghar aa gaye?". RK tucks her in and sleeps by her side, like nothing is wrong in the entire world. People usually speak their heart or blurt out the truth when they are drunk, but the bottom line still is, they are not in their senses. This will not count because first, they'll refuse to acknowledge the friendly act when they sober up in the morning, and second, there's a fat chance they both will twist this into drawing a disgusting conclusion. Worse will happen if they don't recall the conversation in its entirety.
But as a bereaved viewer, it was such a pleasure. Confirmation of their genuine love for each other, opening their heart up to one another, RK spreading his arms and taking her into the embrace when she runs upto him and not letting go, lying down by her side without any hesitation and drifting off to sleep with her fingers entwined with his - yeah, that felt like freaking rain in the desert.

Great review! I guess they're giving us a psuedo/temporary/drunken reconciliation so that we know where each one stands in their heart of hearts, and are setting the stage for the new guy's entry.
I hate love triangles, I do understand the need for a third person or antagonist to move the story along (Deepali's character is spent, imo), but still, I hate triangles!
By kt25
@pnars - Why the tears? You yourself said that a new entry is needed to spice up the existing track since CVs have stretched thin the character of Dips. They got rid of Ballu so soon and hence we don't have a formidable antagonist at the moment. Of course, we cannot count Kukkuji and Sikky as anything but clowns. So, think positive it will all be good because this new entry regardless of whether he is portrayed good or bad, the show will always be about RK and Madhu's love story which is exactly what the dialogue writer of the show said in his interview. They love each other way too much to stay separated for long and even if they do they will rush to the other when one finds the other in trouble or is in need. As I said in my post, sometimes a relationship has to end for the people involved to learn the lessons that are most valuable. This especially holds true for RK who as Madhu put it could have had all the love in the world but he just ruined it with his own sweet hands. He acknowledged his mistake and admitted his folly in a drunken state but he has to come to terms when he is sober as well and that is going to take some time with his giant ego coming in the way all the time. If it is anything, I think that the new entry will play a pivotal role in bringing them closer, atleast make RK realize what he could have had and what he had lost just because his ego wouldn't let him have it. Hope my post makes you feel better!
