The needed talk -Two inebriated souls talk to each other-The Viewers Listen.
Events of the Episode
- RK wants Madhu to talk to him as he has one question to ask. Madhu shoos him away and asks him not touch her and RK agrees on the pact. "No touching only Talking. Sirf Ek Sawaal Madhu"
- Madhu refuses to answer. RK pleads. She enters the studio phone booth and starts calling Police. Funny scene where RK thinks he is the Police and asks Madhu to call his number. He even shows her his Hud Hud Dabang Song. Madhu laughs.
- Madhu complains against RK that he is Ghamandi (proud), sadoo(crazy), and heartless person. RK asks her to add angry, kameena etc. Madhu says all that is understood as he is Right Kameena (for RK).
- RK enters the booth. Funny scene, Must watch as the scene is replete with funnt and cute moments between two drunken people. RK reveals how he danced to the kids demand of song in the village for coins. To which Madhu reactively asks why he hid that with her, which he says he had forgotten.
- As they both are locked up in booth in same position, Madhu remembers her imagination sequence with RK over Pareshaan song in the same booth (Nov month). Beintaha song plays. Madhu tells him about her imagination. Mood is all fun and smiles. RK says even he dreamt/hallucinated about her. Madhu doesn't believe him and walks out.
- RK pursues her and says that he indeed dreamt of her. He recounts her the Raat Akeli song to which even Madhu responds. Another funny scene as Madhu and RK make fun of Dipali without even taking her name.
- Madhu sits down on the floor as RK keeps pestering her about his question. RK too sits down, and with "Spin the bottle game", he asks her to answer his question. Madhu refuses to play the game as RK will obviously lie to her.
- His question is "Why did you do this to me ?" Madhu is baffled. RK drinks and offers it to her as well. Madhu drinks. At first sip she does not like it, but the second sip she likes the whiskey or whichever drink it is.
- RK repeats the question, "Why did you do this to me ?" Madhu asks what ? RK then elaborates, its all her fault. "Why she did not leave him? " He is teary eyed and tells her that he had thought he would be happy after the revenge and sending her away. But he is totally unhappy in total contradiction. He keeps reminding him to hate Madhu and yet he is unable to hate her.
- Madhu then asks him take the drink and try harder and he will be successful in hating her like she hates him. RK is upset. Gulps down the alcohol furiously and teary eyes asks her, "if was so easy for her to hate him?"
- Madhu replies that it is hard for her and she has to kill herself and her soul everyday to hate him. She tells him teary eyed that it pains her to see him everyday on the set, being so close to him.
- RK then confesses that he is too feels the same, dying every bit, being pained, but he likes it because it serves him right, makes him feel right.
- Madhu is totally confused at this confession and asks him, "What is he saying ? What is he ? And what does he want ?" RK answers her back furiously that, "how the hell does he know that ? She has to know that about him"

So much for hope! This episode clears it, his junoon for revenge was so strong that he had mortgaged his soul and heart to achieve it. Well, if I have to make logical sense of the past 6 months, it's like Madhu said, "He didn't know when to say -Cut". He lived his act and ended up with his acting as his reality.
Hats off to the CV's & VD - that they have made a character with such capacity for manipulation - to look so vulnerable. Like Madhu, it's not possible for me to hate RK.
It's you become what you act in life - if I act at kindness everyday, it becomes a habit and I become a kinder person. He acted at loving Madhu so well, ended up taking care of her as a habit and ends up caring for her.

the right kamina always use to act like he was in love with Madhu when Madhu wasnt around. He told Bittuji and Dipali not to question her character. Told Dipali she has a pure heart and told Bittuji she is always to your face never back stabs. You cant really expect coherency in the show naa. You never know what your going to get??

Sona, his love, his feelings, care and concern were as TRUE as the revenge itself... It's like revenge is the outset but the events of the last 5 months is the inset.. He truly lived every moment he spent with her..Nothing was fake... even today he told that he imagined her when it was dipzy... And here goes our dear ST's tweet "Nothin was a lie"
When the time came for him to put the curtain down, he knew his feelings for her are a liability... But then, he prolly thought that the happiness of his victory would snub and overpower all of those feelings... But that didn't happen... he was unhappy with his act... then he continued living with the consolation that she at her place and him at his place... but the second day, this girl lands up on his set, his whole game blew up right on his face... he lost in his own game and he also lost the girl... To supress his real feelings, with her presence around him, he tries to pacify himself to hate her but even that does not happen...
And then he says "takleef hoti hai, dard hota hai, par theek hai"--- I think he is trying to make peace and live with the consequences of his actions... I know the convo is still left but this is what I made out of it..

Good Epi- but I was a little irritated with how DD kept her eyes closed during a majority of the drunk scenes (or lowered them so much they looked closed. I kept getting distracted and thinking "Is this a drunk sequence or a sleepwalking sequence?!"
Liked the RK/Rishab dichotomy. A long while ago, we talked about how RK was the hardened exterior, but now we see that it is Rishab who is the catalyst- for love or hate. It's like-Rishab is active, and RK is reactionary- either to his inner Rishab or to Madhu. Rishab acts on love/hate. RK mops up the messes he makes. And ofcourse, reacts to Madhu when he can. I hope that makes sense. It's not two different personalities in his head, but rather two differing persona depending on the circumstances- like masks one takes off and puts on. Both are real, but both have circumstances where it becomes "more real"
This made a lot more sense in my head.
But the drunk conversation was enlightening - in vino veritas indeed (means, in wine truth). I felt bad for RK (though to be honest, the pain expression was not very convincing because he was drunk), so I went and saw the feb 13th epi where Madhu was screaming for him, which helped me gain perspective.

Its pure revenge but he himself doesn't know that he has actually fall for her in this prem game"He doesn't know what he wants" does it mean whatever he's doing since last few days he's not in himself.
The epi was bit dragged but it was necessary to show their inner turmoil..At times they're looking cute and innocent like kids but at some places they lost their drunken state...U can blame the long shots for that..Overall it was good episode with mixture of everything
DD & VD really acted so well...Booth scene ,imitating Dips & raat akeli scenes were treat to watch...

It was cute, and entertaining ... though a bit dragging at some parts, but I figured the CVs wanted to stretch this til Saturday
After a long time, we saw RK and Madhu simply talking to each other. Yes, both were drunk. But also, they were in their most vulnerable state. And such a conversation was needed, at least for the sake of the viewers (whether they remember these moments later on is different)
Madhu kept pushing him away from her, but he kept clinging onto her. RK looked like a total kid in front of Madhu today. For once, Madhu had the upper hand and she was unknowingly in control of RK
RK singing dabangg song, their moments in the booth, both dancing to raat akele, and even the imitating of Dipali was fun to watch
The most important part for me was when they both sat down, and RK started asking questions. No, it wasn't RK ... but I felt that was Rishabh we saw. Madhu loves RK, and she is okay adjusting to Rishabh (its more indifference from her part). RK/RIshabh loves Madhu, but Rishabh is also the one that keeps the hatred going. Rather, he is a confused soul. He sucks at dealing with himself and his feelings, thus he hides under the mask of RK.
Yet today, he revealed himself and allowed for himself to be judged by Madhu. He wanted to see himself through the one person that he loves the most. And when Madhu said she hates him, he was pained and also disgusted by himself.
I know Madhu has suffered a lot to and I'm definitely not ignoring that. But that doesn't underestimate the turmoil that RK's going through as well.
Am I able to accept his pain? Yes.
Does that redeem RK for me? No. He has a long way to go for that.
But am okay with accepting that RK is actually drunk. I feel this is the CVs showing to us that he isn't as bad as he projects himself to be. In other words, it's like the writers are reassuring the audience that RK will always be Madhu's hero.
Precap - You know when we're little kids, we always have that one toy we are really attached to. It's that prized possession, and we make sure its with us all the time, even while sleeping. Because when it's around, we feel at peace and relaxed.
Well RK had brought Madhu back to his place. The person he loves is with him, tucked in his bed, and he's at ease now, knowing that Madhu's right beside him.

@bold 1 and 2
Since I strongly believe in this theory myself, I would have to add my thoughts here. You might have read my RK/Rishabh case studies.
I will have to differ with you and say that it is too early to say Rishabh loves Madhu. Yes, as you said today, it was Rishabh and not RK who was talking to Madhu and so is the case from few days in the Madhu style of "andar ka zahar baahar niklega"...yes that Rishabh oozing out in conscious state in his 3 day challenge with Madhu, as Rishabh HAD to win it so BADLY with Madhu. Madhu clearly calls Rishabh as andar ka zahar.
So today it was out and out Rishabh talking to Madhu and clearly expressing his disbelief at her steadfastness and her integrity of character coupled along with fearlessness at countering her hurt which is him. Because he (Rishabh) himself has not countered his hurts but rather internalized them. However, Rishabh's questioning of Madhu made me look at the deeper subject that he may have raked up in his, Madhu's and Viewer mind...that being, having to change your character for someone else's inflicted pain on your soul...if Rishabh had done that to himself and he became a poison, what is now Madhu doing ? Is she becoming another Rishabh ? Well clearly I understand that it is not Rishabh's time and place to stop Madhu taking that path. Once RK had saved her going that path with her father Shamsher, but Rishabh inflicted the same "AATMA PE CHOT" on Madhu. So definitely it is not his right or call to do anything. But then...he somehow coming up with comparisons between himself and herself...will all that force Rishabh to think about himself ?
That Rishabh was coming out especially with his mother, the writers were already showing to the viewers. Two days back, I was explaining the same to Zoya when she asked about what I wrote over the EOD summary how RK avenged his mother for ignoring him and not serving jalee hui sabjee in favour of supporting her meethi Bahu. Pls don't mind my pasting. Easy work...

[SD]: I know there are several interpretations. But I wanted to trumpet it this way because RK kills two birds with one stone. He targeted/lampooned Madhu's jealousy (Madhu is sweet and so is kheer). And he also targeted his mother ignoring him when he asked that question in support of Madhu.
RK was actually behaving very kiddish. But this way with his mother, this childish, he will soon start developing heart. He is infact starting from where he closed his heart...so this interaction was very endearing for me. It was sensitive, metaphorical and creatively poetic and sarcastic from RK end.
Great dialogue writing !

If you had listened to Raghuvir's Shekhawat's interview (link present in media thread), he clearly says, RK is grey, but that doesn't mean that he is all bad. There is definitely good in him and at times we have to tap that as well and that it was pretty much the time in present context. Plus Shekhawat also said that all characters in MEIEJ are not black and white characters, they are very human and flawed characters.
Other than this, watching today's episode, I got the feel that MEIEJ CVs work on month by month basis. They stick to one theme for one whole month ...that theme has its own PLC phases. (PLC is product life cycle). So now the March month with this drunken conversation is another theme which for viewers is going to become another PLC...getting to know it and maturing onto it and finally getting bored of it. And what is the new PLC this time. A Madhu who is becoming Rishabh. A Rishabh who atleast had garnered little courage through drinks to sit and talk to Madhu his opponent. And RK the guy who was sandwiched between Madhu and Rishabh, now might lie low and wait for his time to strike back. Ofcourse he never had the flexibility/freedom to do what he wants, its time where he may try to weaken Rishabh for his own sake. I know, people will say...there she goes again with that analogy...Ummm!! but this is the best theory I have and I already expressed this in my New DNA of Rishbala romance.
Note:
No need to wait up for my review on the Episode. This post here infact is my TAKE on today's episode. especially the last para of the Episode

Awww, thank you.
You know something? I myself had doubts about whether I should write Rishabh loves Madhu. I was about to type a different word, and then last minute I ended up grouping RK and Rishabh together. At least, for that aspect.
Like you said, Rishabh never had the strength to face the demons of his past. So the hurt and pain just grew along with him all these years. So I agree with you there, about Rishabh's disbelief over how Madhu has been handling herself post-breakup.
Now about your question regarding the change in character, and whether Madhu is becoming another Rishabh. I would say both yes and no.
Yes because of the changes that are happening within her. Like she said today, she has to kill herself to be able to hate him. Yet the subtle difference there between Madhu and Rishabh is ... Madhu is trying to reinvent herself into someone who would be able to handle all the hurt. Whereas Rishabh, he never did kill that old self of his. Instead, he put on a mask.
Plus, from Madhu's perspective, she knows who is causing her that hurt and pain. RK/Rishabh had directly inflicted it onto her and made it 100% clear about what his intentions were. Maybe that can also be why Madhu is able to stand straight and counter everything he does. Because she knows the source to all the turmoil she is going through.
On the other hand, you have Rishabh/RK. Yes, he blames the three doctors. But more than them, I feel he blames himself. All that pain that was inflicted on his soul, I feel those were self-inflicted. Yeah, his doctors probably played catalysts as well. But ultimately, it seems to come down to his vulnerability. Because up until now, he feels responsible for what happened to him. His incapability from stopping it from happening.
I think that would also explain why he hadn't done anything to Radhaji (who married another man) and Dipali (who ditched him). As for Madhu, yeah he took revenge from her for those 4 slaps because from his pov, it wasn't something self-inflicted.
And coming back to whether or not this would force Rishabh to think about himself? His disbelief about Madhu already seems to have him confused. So, it can probably be a potential turning point as far as his character goes.
P.S. I think I blabbered a lot here. I hope I made some sense.

Supercool,
Read your response. Don't worry it made all sense. I agree with all that. And let me take you into more depth about Madhu.
Madhu has always disliked Rishabh and ignores him until it becomes necessary for her to tackle him. She was always clear that as long as RK was with her, she will adjust to Rishabh perona in him, though it was her secret plan and also overtly expressed in the Love test Khulasa track that she is gonna defeat him one day.
What has changed for Madhu over the revenge track and is hurting even now is that Madhu feels betrayed by RK, the man capable of maturity, the man she fell in love with. And on equal footing of love, Madhu is unable to forgive RK. So even if she knows the source of RK's compromised action (of fulfilling Rishab's conditions on him) is Rishabh, just for the fact that as a gentleman he did not protect his damsel when the demon came to attack on her...has become so dishonourable action to her that she winces from all that happened. She winces not for the revenge, she winces upon the fact that RK did not support her, did not protect her. This was the reason why she slapped him the 5th time for showing that concern.
Drunkenness loosens us and we talk, but it never means that we lose our senses.
So today Madhu was talking to Rishabh the person she has always disliked. She gave that first aid box answer to this same person.
But I am actually fearing the day, when she is okay with his Rishabh side, and even RK knows that RIshabh has accepted Madhu's place in his life and when at that time RK tries to talk to her. I feel that Madhu might spit out what she actually thinks of RK. May be she will say...you and me are done...closed. I still don't know how it will pan out, but RK not being compromised by Rishabh and when talking to Madhu is actually what we have to watch out for.
Okay even I should stop my thoughts here else I may confuse others.

Shri,
That's definitely an insightful take on Madhu and her relations with RK and Rishabh

So in a way it can be interpreted that this whole revenge track occurred so that Madhu can see Rishabh rather than RK. I mean, for as long as RK is around protecting her, Madhu wouldn't really make it a point to get to know Rishabh right? I guess RK breaking whatever trust Madhu had on him ultimately forces her to look beyond the mask known as RK
Now that you mentioned it, I guess would like to know to how the relationship between Madhu and RK will pan out when she has accepted Rishabh. Quite an interesting watch I would say !

Exactly. To see Rishabh. I always used to debate that Madhu overrides emotions...way too much and that she needs to develop sensitivity that Rishabh Kundra had. She used to come across as that obtuse or bossy person who chose people and went about her work the way she wanted.
That is one reason why Madhu was so fooled by RK. As she refuses to question or observe the nuances, she ignored Rishabh...and this is when the revenge plan takes its seed. I can very well understand how each time Rishabh Kundra (the mix of RK and Rishabh) may have felt when Madhu just listened or watched in rationality but failed to be sensitive, because it irks me when people become obtuse and are not sensitive. When in that anger of being ignored, Rishabh Kundra also observed that Madhu is easily pleased as long as she is able to see what she wants to see. This is when RK act in the way Madhu likes started. Remember the dialogue..."Tumhe manvaana kitna asaan ho gaya hai" when he brings her to his room...
On a human level, I wanted Madhu to get to know of Rishabh even if he was not a person she may not like him much, but in the end it is real him. I knew that only experience of pain can teach Madhu to be human and not ideal, sensitive and not obtuse...and infact all this knowledge boosts the person to have better control on things instead of getting duped.
So yes this track is Madhu's forceful relationship building with Rishabh. On the other hand it is also her break-up with RK...the persona she keeps saying I cannot trust you.
Infact I too am looking forward to see the new dynamics for Madhu. The CVs already made her say her heart is like broken glass. This is what Rishabh said to Madhu in August. Toota hua sheesa hai. Jod sakhti ho inhe...this is what Madhu was saying to Trishna.
So the present track is building up similarities between Madhu and Rishabh and moving away from the cosy image of RK.
Supercool, must say, this conversation with you has been the best that happened to me in months. Thanks for conversing along.

Shri, i was following all of your discussions on RK & Rishabh since i joined the forum..i was intrigued by one thing..Madhu understanding / possessing knowledge about Rishabh is sufficient to sustain this relationship, i.e. if they get into it... RK/Rishabh healing is not yet complete or it didn't start only?

Charu,
@ bold; You ask a difficult question. Let me try answering you...
Yes, knowing helps. We build sustainability along with the knowledge. But key question, where is the need for knowing for Rishabh, why does Madhu want to sustain the relationship with the man (RK + Rishabh), especially if the return (RK) is not even wanted by her.
RK/Rishabh healing has started. It started the moment Madhu entered his life. She is a constant challenge to him, emotionally and mentally. She makes him work overtime. And that fight has led the man to come in front and engage in duel. This has bruised the man, exposed him to light. Some consequences have been 1) fixing his three doctors problem - abandonment 2) he has bridged the gap with his mother. With or without Madhu, Rishabh wants to talk to his mother. This is his greatest healing. 3) With Bittuji around, Rishabh Kundra acting all high and mighty and even slapping has showed further downside and vulnerabilty he has...as long as Bittuji is with him, he would not mind Bittuji having fun at his expense. Which employer allows his secretary to laugh at him ? That's Rishabh Kundra for you.
Against this background of information...
Even if Madhu's love or Rishabh Kundra's love for Madhu paves way for proper relationship building between the two...my only question and doubt is ...emotionally torn people look for security, protection, but at the same time shun it away as they don't like people bestowing charity or showing pity upon them. It is not easy for Love to take its place. That's the case of both Madhu & Rishabh and Madhu & RK...BUT there is lot of history. Keep them physically apart, there will be sure shot break-up. Keep them physically close, its as good as a marriage, which two spouses will keep working on even if it seems on the verge of break up.
