Adventures of Rishbala: Trip to Ajja-Ajji's Village.
Part II- Madhu in Navvari Saree, RK in Dhoti-Chappal
Events of the Episode
- Fun filled episode. Must watch episode. It was an adjustment drama for RK. Perfectly captured...the adjustment...slowly happening as we are forced to give in to new environment. Nothing of what RK was doing was forced. Interesting drama, interesting dialogues, adorable actors and delightful comedy. Everyone was adorable. Kaka, Kaki, Chintu, bacche, bailgaadi waale Bhaiyya. And super adorable were RK and Madhu.
- Ajja squarely refuses to call Rishabh Kundra by his real name and keeps calling him by any other name other than his real one. Ajja-Ajji have taken a liking to Madhu and yet they have been shown not to seriously dislike RK. Just that Ajja-Ajji feel challenged by the foreigner just as much RK feels challenged by them...both parties in mutual adjustment phase, while Madhu has been equated to water by Ajji, adapting to anything around her.
- RK did not indulge in rubbing of star-giri on the people around him...which in frustration of not knowing where he landed into, he ends up giving back his stardom to Bittuji over phone. He understood that, no one was would pay him salute at his whim like in city. And he did not try to get that adulation from them. Madhu helps him by keeping company. Madhu makes him help her in cleaning the AC, ties him the Dhoti as he doesn't know how to wear it, asks him to go mild on his demand for mineral water and just satiate himself with potable water that Ajji gives them. He is scared that they broke the bed. That was a grounded feeling for him and pushes Madhu forward to manage with Ajja. He is asked by the children gang to barter his performance - a dialogue delivery and a dance; in return of a coin; to place a call to home from the public phone outside and he does that saying to himself, he has no other choice.
- RK is responsible enough to call Bittuji to inform his status and to ask him to tell Saasuma and Maa that they are safe.

Watched the episode.
Nothing khaas. Nothing bad and wrong. All normal. Light hearted.
It was an adjustment drama for RK. Perfectly captured...the adjustment...slowly happening as we are forced to give in to new environment. Nothing of what RK was doing was forced. What he must have missed was the regular rubbing of star-giri on the people around him...which he ends up giving to Bittuji over phone. Here he understood, no one was ready to pay him salute at his whim. And he did not try to get that from them. Infact he was scared that they broke the bed. That was still a grounded feeling for him. He was lucky that his car did not break down with him being alone. Atleast he had Madhu for the company. He was asked to barter his performance - a dialogue delivery and a dance; in return of a coin; to place a call to home from the public phone outside. Liked him telling Bittuji to tell Saasuma and Maa that they are safe. Madhu gave him good company. And the old woman and man have taken a liking to Madhu and yet they have shown not to seriously dislike RK...just that Ajja-Ajji feel challenged by the foreigner just as much RK feels challenged by them...both parties in mutual adjustment phase, while Madhu has been equated to water, adapting to anything around her.
He had a nagging and uncomfortable feeling with his Dhoti and chappal and that made me smile by the end of the episode...very naturally shown...with him...sort of going in circles..especially with those chappals...something over my sleepy saturday morning...
Okay going back to sleep.

Everyone was adorable. Kaka, Kaki, Chinti, bacche, bailgaadi waale Bhaiyya. And super adorable were RK and Madhu. And I wanted to pinch RK several times whenever his dukhiyaari aatma was getting exasperated. Everyone laughed at the expense of RK except Kaaki. Kaaki/RK ka chattees ka aankda ban gaya. She just doesn't get him...atleast Kaaka was getting to know him.
Hey, over the precap scene, can someone tell me, how RK got a blue shirt ? He was donning a white shirt, then when did it change to blue ?
And Madhu's saree - that was no Mumtaaz saree. Seems nowadays tailors don't know how to stitch it. And moreover, DD in one of the segments was saying the orange colored outfit came very late, it was never upto fitting. That means it was tried and rejected several times. Anyways here are the videos that will give the Mumtaz type of saree I am speaking of.. Waise, Mumtaaz wore a very simple way of saree for Bindiya chamkegi. They just made a 2 in 1 for Mumtaz nostalgia.

Pani re pani tera rang kaisa
Jisme milaye uske jaisa
Light, breezy and good nok-zhok between RK and Madhu in today's epi. Full timepass and hansi majak wala.
I liked how he kept fanning himself while Madhu was cleaning the AC ka door. Kaisa jamega tera RK commoners ki duniya mein. Every little thing is irritating you here.
Bhagvan Srikrshna jaise RK ke kai nam.. Ritvik, Rutambar, Raghunandan, Rajesh Kumar, ... Hilarious. Patil ajja can remember Madhubala very well but not RK. That is what irritated him the most. In all seriousnes, you are lucky if you have someone like this aaja/aaji in your life to keep you grounded especially if you are a celebrity.
Nauvari (nine yard) saree mein Madhu was looking really fab. I wish they would have added a lavani song here.
Dhoti and RK took some time to get along with each other. Too funy he kept trying to find pockets in it. Adat se majaboor. Madhu kept egging him on and ultimately their running around the bed and finally jumping on it brought that bed down. Chintu's warning came a bit late.
Woh badmash bacche, RK se nach gana karvaye woh bhi ek rupee mein. Karodon ka kaam ek rupee mein. Dekho aam admi ko woh ek rupee ke liye kitna mushkil ho sakta hai. Chote bacche ki tarah muh fula hua tha uska.
I like this irritated, annoyed, attitude wala RK than what they showed us for past almost one month.

It was quite an entertaining episode..
RK rishton ke machanic se bana AC mechanic!
Sheher ka munda bana gaon ka chora!!Biwi ne baandhi uski dhoti!!
The script and screenplay was quite neat and taut... RK-Madhu were lively with their repartees, fun, palying, teasing one another. They were living in the moment with just one another for company..
It was quite a delight to watch a disgruntled RK getting a hang of walking around with his dhoti. And he hiding behind Madhu and letting her talk to Ajjiya after the palnag-tod incident:D
RK ne jaani 1 rupee ki keemat, bana Dabangg Salman chillar party ke kehne par!!!
Bittuji was at the receiving end of his stargiri!!... But nevertheless, he was responsible enough to inform them of their well-being and delay to the two mothers

Saturday episodes are so not happening. I missed the episode because of other commitments!!
caught up with it so late!!
I liked:
- Madhu looked adorable, RK looked 'hot' and 'dashing'
- RK's discomfort with the dhoti, and the AC scene
- The way he drooled over her waist when she turned around in the navvari
- The way Madhu teased RK about his name...Rajesh Kumar...cutambari??
- Comfort levels are increasing...which is a good sign, I was quite surprised that he held her bare waist
- Always have liked madhu's direct talk...the way she takes the dhoti...'do...uthar nahi rahi hoon, pehna rahi hoon', she says authoritatively, and he's so shy
Pre-cap: If Madhu is drunk, this will be another missed opportunity case. Like I read someone else saying, she will pass out.
On the whole, this whole village track is very cute, not just cute, chemistry quotient is very high.
By PriyaSince no one has posted about this I am going to take the liberty to post the list of all names that RK had been called by Madhu and/or Ajjiya. Other than being called by his actual name Rishabh or Rishabh Kundra, he was called by every single name that begin with the letter R, well some odd and some not so odd and just for kicks I made the list to post it here
Rutambar
Ritambar
Raghunandan
Ruchidar
Rithvik
Rakesh Kumar

Another thing I loved was the "Arre Sansara Sansara" song Kaaki was singing in the kitchen - one of my favorites. Its an old Marathi song, and the lyrics start like this -
arre sansara sansara
jasa tava chulhyavar
aadhi hatala chatake tevhaa milte bhakar
All the Marathi mulgis out there, please chime in with the correct translation, because my Marathi is quite rusty, but roughly translated, it means –
Married life,
is like the the tava on the chulha
(only) by the hand getting stung, do you get the bhakar (roti)

@river
Thx for the marathi song translation. I was wondering what she was singing.
And about the spoilers, if really Madhu is talli and really seducing RK, I personally would have liked this song. Though the ambience is different. Madhu should have sung this when they were in RK Mansion when he always reminds her his promise. Seriously, I am really annoyed at his remembering his promise, like its a big deal when they are already married. Le Lo kahin pe jaake poore saat phere !!!!
Isn't DD's acting around VD, so similar as Jaya's ?? :))
Responded by Soundarya
@bold- I know
. Madhu is also getting irritated, kitne saare lines maar rahi hai, and now seduction song also. I tweeted to ST...
,' please saat phere karva do'...vela, time passgiri
on my part.

@river, you too a Marathi Mulgi here? Good to know that! What you wrote is almost correct. Still, let me provide the exact translation. It is not needed, but since you asked I am doing it
Arre sansaar sansaar -Ah! This married life !
Jasa tawa chulhawar - Like a pan on fire!
Adhi hatala chatake, tewha milate bhakar - Sting from burn on hands first, then only you get the bread.
The meaning could be applied to broader aspects of life as well. Not just restricted to marriage.
Its a very beautiful marathi song.
Responded by MarathiMulgi
Yes this was composed by "Sant Bahinabai" who was a female saint from Maharashtra during ( 1628-1700 AD ) . The year I had to look up on the net.
These songs were usually sung by women while cooking or grinding flour using the hand grinder I think. Though the word "sansar" here looks like a woman describing about married life, in a broader sense it can also be considered as the whole world.
Here she says, one needs to suffer the pains of garam tava in order to get a good bhakri (made from millet flour in Maharashtra). It is like saying you won't get a rose without touching its thorns first (at least that is what I think).
