Madhu tells RK, she loves him and is ready to do anything he asks her to do. He carries her to the bed, and gradually begins by taking out her bindi, earrings. Suddenly, his expression changes and he stops himself. Madhu goes upto him and asks him...is it because you want to do the pheras?? He does'nt answer the question, instead he apologises to her, she understands and hugs him. kaka comes and knocks on the door and says, the car is ready. They are ready to leave...kaka and kaki bless the couple, kaki gives her green bangles as a symbol of togetherness.
In the car, RK and Madhu play a game asking each other true or false questions. Disclaimer, am not bothered about his questions because he can read her so well, he has her twisted around his litttle finger. She on the other hand, is so confident, and innocent, but her innocence now seems so ominous. She asks him if he loves her, and answers herself saying he does. She also asks him..when is he happiest, he says when he is with her! Trick question for us: true or false. How do we try and understand his answer..I believe...true...if it were not for the buts, howevers, agars, magars.
His apology to her...his answers to her, in the light of recent developments, we ordinary mortal viewers can take whatever interpretation out of it...in other words, take it, lump it, forget it. Ok, he does ask her if she is ready to leave with him the next evening, she replies yes.
RK mansion:
Radha and Padmini are chatting, Dipali and sikky are listening half interested. the couple walks in at the corridor, RK tells Madhu, that this is the last time they will be entering this house. And he says, he is happy if he has her, scotch and chicken. Madhu gets teary and upset.
padmini is happy seeing them safe, gets up to leave. Madhu asks her to stay, but malik and Roma are leaving on an outdoor shoot (ahaa!). RK sees Madhu's face and persuades her to stay a bit longer. Dipali notices madhu's mood and is wondering about them.
Pre-cap: Paddy and Radha are cooking together, and joking around. madhu is in tears seeing them. RK pulls her and asks her to control herself. Dipali overhears their convo.
Few points:
- SR does not happen. That saves RK in my eyes a little bit, just a teeny weeny bit. ...a dot actually.
- Nothing to analyse...except that between tomorrow and friday, something changes. Or not? it seems like there's a plan in place.
- Where is bittuji? Red flag..
- Is Dipali again in the picture ? Sorry pun unintended. Am not going to talk about this fantastical story that is floating around, which actually makes a lot of sense to me, though it is heart breaking. I have mentioned it in the future track thread.

I am confused by today's episode. I don't understand what's going on and I refuse to go on the media discussion thread or the forum to watch any promo. That means I will need to take it one episode at a time. So be it.
Yesterday's epi was full of romance but today was all mysterious, enigmatic and of bad bad foreboding.
Madhu ki bidai gaon se with hari chudia in her hath and RK Madhu convo in the car. But what was RK's comment about do waqt ki scotch and chicken? what are we supposed to infer from it? What kind of mind games is he playing with Madhu ( and us !!!) ? I almost want to say that in all grand scheme of things RK did a favor to Madhu and did not get physical with her. To me it looked like he was recoiled by the idea but disguised it under the pretense of the very flimsy and weak excuse of 7 phere. Remember she kept saying I love you but he just kept quiet. Oh Madhu, you innocent kiddo !!!
Madhu is getting all emotional about the fact that woh sub ko chod kar ja rahi hai and unlike RK is not able to hide it at all. She is too transparent. Dipali is intrigued by Madhu's state of mind and suspects something is amiss.
Radha's dialogue about RK-madhu being the life of the house was a bit OTT I think. Was it to increase Madhu's already guilt feeling state?
Why is it that Malik is always out of town when something bad is about to happen to Madhu?

The beginning was very aesthetically done. Madhu's expressions were really good. And RK seemed totally lost. How he pulled himself back is beyond me. Before the promo came out, we would all have been cribbing about the kameena promise, but instead I was glad. At the very least there is the consolation that he didn't take advantage of her physically.
RK says sorry and Madhu says its ok. She tells him, twice, that she loves him. RK is ominously silent.
The farewell given by the village was sweet. The background music which was played when Ajji gave Madhu those bangles ... more foreboding. I did note however that Ajja is as possessive about his wife as RK is.
In the car, RK informs Madhu about leaving the next day. And Madhu asks him if he loves her. RK says no. But Madhu does not believe him. She says that RK is so good at acting that his fans accept his lies as truth but she alone knows the truth. However, she in the next dialogue says that she, herself, is his biggest fan.
Madhu's desire to have Padmini stay for lunch is understandable. Now that the time has come to leave, she wants to spend as much time as she can with her loved ones. Another thing I would like to mention here is, while Sikky calls Dips "Wife", RK calls Madhu "Biwi". Didn't notice it before.
The precap .. Not too surprising. There is just one person who can figure out RK and Madhu's departure plans and that is Dipali. But in the precap, I think, she is still in the guessing stage and not yet completely sure. Both Radha and Padmini are lost in their own world. No idea of the build up of tension.
Many people said the promo should have been released later however, I think the timing was perfect. The promo/articles sowed the seeds of doubts and this episode is only helping them take roots.

the mood was set, Madhu gave the green signal, the song was lovely (one of my favorites) , he took her to bed, he was under the influence of alcohol, yet he stopped himself...anti climax...CV's of MB love anti climax don't they ? nyhow, this time, his refusal was more prominent why did he say yest. ke doctor has advised him against drinking? is he suffering from some disease? the scene itself was okay...for the full 5 minutes, they were focussing on their faces only but nevertheless, whatever was shown was good enuf...
i agree with Sub_Ram here..even if we watch the episode forgetting about the promo, it was ordinary...average...
Madhu and RK leaving from the village was okaish..not gr8...Ajji was right ke Madhu loves RK more than he loves her... nahi, it's not that he does not love her...he loves her equally..
their scene in the car was nothing gr8..no good dialogues, no good acting...the question answers, guesses, all very routine..why do they have to talk about it now? kaun kisse pyar karta hai ke nahi? again, jaana hai..KAHAN jaana hai, KYUN jaana hai revenge or no revenge, i'm happy ke this "jaana hai" track will end forever that's a big relief !
the scene in the lift...he needs his scotch and chicken? pahleez yaar...dialogue maarna hai toh scotch wala? n why did Madhu looked so shocked? Dips again onto her jasoosi mission? phir se band bajne wali hai Dips ki , woh bhi Madhu ke aage...i liked his dialogue to Dips today "RK ki life mein koi villain na hota agar ye reel life hoti toh" Madhu getting all emotional thinking about leaving...

An episode full of foreboding and sinister undercurrents.
If indeed the TB article is true, we get at least one facet for RKs possible redemption, the he did not go all the way today and the SR did not happen. But again, I am very confused here. A man truly in love would not have been able to resist himself after his wife gives him full license. And this not just about today. It has always been beyond my understanding, as to how he can stop himself from getting physically intimate with her. What might be stopping him to get physical with her if he loves her? Its surely not 7 phere. That much we are sure. So RK indeed has a big plan in all this.
I found RKs behavior very suspicious throughout the episode, and some of it can be attributed to a certain state of mind that I have developed amidst all the recent news. Although, most of it can't be ignored.
1. Madhu repeatedly tells him 'I love you' in their intimate moments, but he again stays quiet.
2. When he says sorry to Madhu, after pulling away from her, his sorry seems less for the act in question and more from his somewhat pensive mode. What was he thinking?
3. I did not understand his expressions when Kaki was gifting green bangles to Madhu. I think I noticed an evil smirk.May be I am over analyzing.
4. Their short 'TRUE or FALSE' quiz was again like a warning bell. She says he might be a very good actor with lot of fans, but she happens to be his biggest fan and can read his eyes and she knows in surety that he truly loves her and is happiest when around her. He informs her that they will be leaving tomorrow.Hmm!!
5.And , why did he tell Kaka yesterday that doctor has advised him against alcohol? When did that happen? He was shown drinking heavily in recent episodes. His dialogue of having scotch twice a day during their exile, again was like a red flag. Why does he need alcohol now that he has her? He had given up on it, apart from resorting back to it in his moments of turmoil. Right? Does it indicate he is going to distance himself from her intentionally, and hence would be needing alcohol again?
Padmini and Radha are eagerly waiting for them. Madhu is feeling heavyhearted at the thought of leaving and not being able to see her mother anytime soon. Deepali gets suspicious of both their behavior. RK seems to have no emotional qualms leaving everything behind even after his reconciliation with his mother. Don't know where all of this is headed. They are actually going to disappear without informing anyone? Just like that? Bittuji's absence was worrying me. Don't know why. If RK has a plan, Bittuji is surely involved in it.

It is hard to analyze anything without considering all the spoilers. I would have pegged today's episode as an average episode leading upto pheras and the couple waiting to start thier new life formally with proper saat pheras. TRP aunties would have gone crazy for RK's self-control. I would have interepreted RK's silence as his egoistic attitude and Madhu's perkiness as her happiness.
However with the spoiler of revenge plot looming large- RK's silence seemed like his guilt or an attempt to avoid lying by omission. Madhu's perkiness felt childlike innocence soon to be crushed under the wheels of reality.
Revenge plot still does not make sense- one would have to be a sociopath to create that level of havoc for four slaps. Given the fact that RK has never really physically hurt Madhu, cared for her when she was sick, cared for her family, skipped any physical intimacy- I find it hard to label him a sociopath. He seems to have some deep ingrained humanity for most part. At the very least RK's character does not seem unredeemable- he seems to avoid confessing that he loves her...in fact except for once in farm house, he has never stated that he loved Madhu. He has mentioned that he loves her company immensely and cares for her which may be completely true.
I must admit none of the cliched route of self sacrifice (RK has a life threatening disease) makes sense at this point. The choice is not -no marraige and marraige but ambiguous marraige and complete marraige. Socially she is already his wife (as printed in news)...if self secrifice is the intention ...one would expect RK to strengthen her position and finances by completing the marraige.

Argh, this stupid IF ate my post!
Ok, take 2:
1st off, I'll admit- the entire romancing sequence, I was distracted by RK's long lashes. The entire time, I was like "Damn, I want that length." I think its a self defense mechanism. If the revenge track does go through, expect a lot of posts from me focusing on the prettiness of the actors, and nothing on the storytelling and characters. I foresee writing a lot about Madhu's anarkali's going forward
Second: RK is giving off mixed signals. He does not take advantage of Madhu- ok, so there are limits to his revenge, if this is a revenge track. At the same time, he smirks pretty obviously and evilly at the beginning of the Madhu getting bangles scene. But he asks Madhu's forgiveness, and his smirk fades into a smile as the scene goes on. If this is revenge, RK does not know his own heart, and has allowed his pride to rule everything. Or it could be that he does know his heart, and has decided that his pride is worth more, and is destroying Madhu (her innocence, her love) to rebuild her in his own image- the only way he'll be good enough for her. Taint Madhu to make an already tainted RK worthy of her. I can't see him letting her go, so this is the only way I can justify a revenge track. RK knows Madhu is his, totally and utterly. If he destroy's her, she isn't going to retaliate- she won't have the emotional reserves to do so. And she won't be able to turn to her family- how can she? RK has redeemed himself 10 times over in their eyes. So it leaves an extremely vulnerable Madhu, who is now open to be completely molded by RK- "Madhu you want me to love you- do this, become this. Then we can be together."
Or maybe not. Maybe he is a cartoon villain.
At the seven pheras scene, maybe he'll spout a mustache and start twirling it around like a manic as he gives his dialogue.

I saw the whole episode with an altogether different perspective and it turned out to be Hint ka Mahaepisode!!!!
I still can't bring myself to believe that RK is villainous... Am hoping that the CV's have a real tight and neat script justifying his stance..
RK backs off saying he can't do this to her... He asks forgiveness from her once again... Ok, prolly it would have all started as a revenge for him and with that big fat ego of his, he would go onto claim his supposed win...But he does know that he is going to hurt her very badly and he is regretting for it too and he knows he loves her a lot...
When he says right outside their home, that from tomorrow, all he would be left is her love and two scotches with chicken... He knows he is going to break her which in turn is going to break him and the only thing he would be left in his life is her love(as a memory) and alcohol...
RK notices Dipali's observing eye in the hall family scene...
Ok.. What I am going to say now might sound outrageous..plz bear with me...I logically can no more say sth can happen or sth cannot.. Is the whole Bhatia family dhongi or part of some Nautanki troupe?Were they brought in by RK? There might be some instances to refute this outlandish idea of mine...

I was thinking from the various angles...how many times they shot for the scene, one camera that looks at DD, One that looks at VD, one far shot looking at the two, One zoom shot looking the two and one Side angle...Five takes. And how many times, both gave a cue to the other...I move the hand you respond as if feeling it...Man!!! I was just seeing is as shooting scene with crew around and them two acting.
And of course I am pitted against Sourabh Tewari and his team...so I counted how many timed he wanted to talk to me. He talked to me in this manner:
- When RK refused..."Nahin Madhu"
- He said Sorry,"Mujhe Maaf Kar do" for something other than what Madhu was assuming.
- When Ajji gave green bangles to Madhu and empowered Madhu against ill-luck.
- When in the car they played their game and RK said...no matter what ...you will always copy me.
- When Madhu said you say something convincingly true and yet your eyes speak something else and I will catch that...just that Madhu was thinking it was just about loving her...so ST &Co, hinted to me that there are other layers too that Madhu will know and become the detective.
- When RK said...this is the last day we are stepping into this house...so that means his revenge is complete and he will go back to his scotch and Chicken...ofcourse ST did not say, where Madhu will go after revenge gets completed...as in why RK says he is also not coming back...that he left me with curiosity...but now I give two hoots for his "Interest Creation".
This is how I am gonna watch from now on...and I will learn trends, Media canvassing, TRP creation, analysing Soap Presentation Operations. Yes, why not...I am already bored of my present job and have been thinking...what I want to learn new.

MEIEJ Official Page on Facebook had this new montage from Jan 26th.
colors.in.com (the US website) has today changed to the new Montage...the Blue colored one.
My musings:
Old Montage - Selling a Promise of Heroine Track to Viewers.
It was never there...it might have started for that, but ST had to change the track to Love Story and yet the Montage was not changed as he wanted people to guess, now can she become heroine now that she got married to him where eventually hate marriage will become love marriage...we kind of get the premise.
New Montage - Selling a Promise of Rishbala Love Story to Viewers
We don't know if the big twist is about the love story to be broken. Will the saat phera marriage will happen. The question lurks, how will she enter films ? Why the heroine track montage is changed ? Will the loss in the personal love story then be the premise for Madhu to enter the films and gain public love. Then question is how Rishabh and Madhu get back to their love story with the NEW BLUE DREAMY montage where both of them are looking into each earnestly and seem to happy. May be it is just a promise...Why did they change it on Facebook on Jan 26th and I don't know since when they started showing it on TV and why they changed the montage on colors website today.

I have tried to get into RK shoes, his complex core behind the Filmi Superstar persona...The real man behind the image he created...by showing where Madhu decided for him and controlled the outcome ...which technically for him is an offence which cannot pardoned by him...as in he is fiercely protective about the personality he hid himself. Probably he feels challenged that Madhu is coming closer to him day by day and he cannot stop himself at that.

I thought all along it was to Obscurity. Now seems the Twist is about Obscurity becomingFame.
Question is where "there is just you and me" ...It is Film World
"After we take Saat Phera marriage" ...I think the rest of the three pheras are about RK making her take vows around his idea of him taking her to his Film World.
Where is he doing his saat Phera marriage...where he himself took his first shot for films.
What is justification here for the twist...we will know on saturday, may be as punishment to Madhu for trying to control him the way I cited in my above post.
So the shocking Twist and Revenge is about

IMO what a convoluted way of story telling...but I am willing to wait for Sourabh Tewari's justification of this way of going about the Heroine Track by keeping RK character in dark.

I made sense through lot of talking (6 hours of talking)...that yesterday I was upset at thinking RK faking his love for Madhu and taking her for a ride...which I equated to Sourabh Tewari taking me for a ride because I know for sure that RK loves Madhu and that cannot be unreal...that today I felt influenced by the word revenge by TB article. Sourabh Tewari or the Promo did not say or suggest revenge.
Yes...my talking with friends was about ...how does revenge fit in? What is the motive ? We were abhorring the word, cringing at the emotion it invoked in us.
Then we discussed, why RK would break Madhu's heart forgetting everything about marriage. I zeroed in on the point that I once said in ED thread...that
- Rishabh Kundra cannot be a spiritually enlightened person until he learns to let it go. His hurt, ego, his control...He will live in personal purgatory until he decides to have heaven for him. Question is why he is such a control freak ? Why he cannot be ordered ?
- Madhu cannot be fully compassionate person until she learns to understand the 360 degrees perspective of love. Her life has been too rosy with loved parents and everyone loving her for her nature. She needed to lose love to become emotionally sensitive person to hurt, to loss, to understand what hurt and loss means.
Madhu
Forceful hurt that RK gave by marrying her, she had courage from her mother and the sacrifice she made for her father. She never felt any loss and she fought Rishabh Kundra. It hurts most when you lose what you love and that too if the reason behind the loss is one you love the most. And Madhu...personally my complaint with her was, she is insensitive to emotions which though it makes a formidable person of her, it is not too good and doesn't make her an Understanding compassionate person rather than just being self-righteous person.

All the things that Madhu forced over him...even if he liked her silently without confessing or was just obsessed and peaceful about her existence and presence besides him...are:
Post Studio Track
Ganesha track - She decided for him. He had no control.
She forced him to reconcile with Ganesha. He had to because he had no choice.
Initially I was ranting in ED thread like so many my other friends then...why would anyone force faith, following on an atheist. We had debated on it at length and I was like get it over with Ganesha track where Madhu keeps forcing him to something. For me setting an equation or repair of relationship with God is deeply personal and I felt bad that Madhu is doing it to RK. Ofcourse, I was not knowing why the track was being played and it ended in him surrendering himself before Ganesha, with no choice. The way it ended it swooped us off our feet...but my regret at heart-filled pleasure was that my good friends then, Peach, Bhoomi and FQ would not partake my pleasure and were like we will come back once this track done. Bhoomi left IF and FQ came back after Ganesha track and Peach was with me,,,,,but like no comments. I felt company in Hima, Sima, Zoya and Preet then.
Getting Shot Track and Shamsher Arrest Track - She decided to save his life and he might have repaid in kindness by 1) protecting her from loss of faith in father 2) when it came out by protecting her against his family's hostility.
She saved his life twice, and showed him her reasons why she did //that. He had to agree with all that. And in one long day and night of the day following his discharge from hospital...the jagraata track...he saw Shamsher coming to kill him. That night he understands how much she loves her father...and all goody goody things happening and following on to Shamsher Arrest Track.
He was fully in control of everything here and he gets to decide everything for her, except her saving his life.
Karwachouth Track - She decided for him and he has no control.
By this time, we the viewers are sold the love story and we like it. And I was like, I know by keeping the Vrat that HE HATES, she is forcing him to honor the marriage and which Rishabh cannot go back...as he cannot let her down. Like again leaving no choice. I knew that Rishabh hated Karwa Chouth and it will upset him. But in the name of love story, I knew Rishabh will set aside his hostility and principles with the custom and complete the Vrat for her.
What did he get to know of Madhu during Karwa Chouth ? That she can give up her life for her Zid. She is as reckless as him. And she was able to force out of him, which he never planned.
Question: Did he like that all ? As a viewer my mistake is...I never asked Rishabh Kundra...how do you feel ? Did you like it ? All that soft coercion ?
Maybe this is where things changed for Rishabh Kundra and he wanted to control Madhu's love story, instead of her controlling him...to which he was inadvertantly losing.
May be this is where he devised that test of love based...Will you come away with me. It hurt his ego when she turned it down...He got to know, through Trishna...what was stopping her from accepting his proposal. He fixed all her problems knowing then that she will come away with him.
What was again forceful was him reconciling with his mother...but now it was a small carrot to lose himself to her wish in his larger gameplan of controlling her.
An accident in the shape of Balraj happened for him. He could not lose her to Balraj and saves her. She is HIS to eternity, in love and in hate or may be until he lives. So he protected her from Balraj.
Now he is close to execute the final step of his plan...take her away...and ????? I don't know what happens now...what is his plan.
Understanding RK as Superstar and Movie Person
- He cares for his Public Image and will avoid scandal at any cost. He CREATES HIS OWN IMAGE in Media like many real life Movie Stars...like Shahrukh Khan created one for himself.
- I equate RK to two Filmstars that I know
1) Shahrukh Khan - He has said...he is hyper and every morning when he gets up he needs to be someone else other than Shahrukh. He doesn't have the confidence, satisfaction being Shahrukh, the way his wife Gauri is self-assured and at peace with herself. He says, he always acts out, while she is natural and never needs to be an actor...happy in being herself.
He feels stabilized through Gauri's presence in his life.
2) GuruDutt - He was creative, complex and morose person, though extremely smart and creative. He married the beautiful Geeta Roy and made her sacrifice her career as he allowed her to sing only in his films and then he developed withdrawal symptoms and withdrew from her. GuruDutt was also suicidal and tried two times earlier before finally committing suicide after he completely wrecked himself and sort of wrecked Geeta Dutt. They turned mutually destructive to each other.
There are stories of most Cinema people, how different they are at home and how totally unlike any regular person. They mostly are insecure people and very conscious of their Public Image.
Sourabh Tewari and VD have said that MEIEJ is about what happens once "Light, Action and Camera" goes down...as is what happens once the actor comes away from Light, Action and Camera. What he is like ? What is their life like ?
Now, I have never imagined a easy story behind Rishabh Kundra. I knew he had to be difficult person, a complex person like Virginia Woolf, James Joyce...as in being depressed or being extremely creative forgetting everything else.
When Sourabh Tewari had no love story in mind, may be he intended to show us this publically different RK who is media savvy person, but total opposite in private life. And he would have continued with that.
Now ST may be he is planning to go to the original story and show RK in true light...which he cannot to anyone as he is private person. He might show himself to Madhu in full as she has been successful in crossing the moat around his fortified castle of himself and also broken his walls. May be the premise is ...precisely at this point, RK intervened and turned chameleon and gaurded Rishabh...with a condition...to let Madhu see real Rishabh only if Madhu gets ready to see him as he is ...all in his badness, his flaws, his ego, his control, his self-destructive traits ...or perhaps may be not...
Madhu will now have to know this person...the Rishabh which the world does not know...which is including the Bhatias and Bittuji. But Madhu will never understand a person like him fully within his world because she is not from the world of cinema nor she is an artist to understand complexities of artistic life.
Question you will ask me...She was already accepting him...then why faking drama...The answer I have is ...he was not getting a way to tell her that SHE CANNOT DECIDE FOR HIM, that SHE CANNOT CONTROL HIM. She was winning over him leaving no choice and further FATE and CIRCUMSTANCES were AGAINST HIM and they seemed always to help her. And SHE WAS CLOSE TO GET HIM KNOW HIS REAL HIM.
Still...I am with you all...I understand a break, a hurt, a punishment...but I still don't get the word revenge fully...I seem to get it and then fail. All I know is that...only he can control her and he can decide for her. So if love should have happened, it should have been him and not her forcing it out of him.
