Episode Reviews
By Myself
nautanki continues.
Action drama completed. Melodrama started.
Nothing to analyse.
Padmini ko le gayi PoliceThaane
RK pahunche Aspataal apne Maa ke saath
Roma aise hi aa tapki Police Thaane mein
Madhu chali aspataal apne Pati ke paas apni Maa ko chodke...Kaise yeh Duvidhaa

Precap - More melodrama [I can't watch that. Not to my taste (just a personal opinion) but still will have to...]
Hauslon se Veer Hoon chant recited by Madhu when prompted by Radhaji
Madhu neither could say "Apne Maa Ki" nor "Apne RK ke" because both were in peril...one in jail and other in hospital on account of her...so when Radha said "Apne Maa ke" it meant ...Madhu I am with you. I liked it. Actually saturday ME started taking Radha in this direction.
I AM SUPER HAPPY that episode is rushed. Thank God !!! everything happens quickly in MB'Verse. I will not have to tolerate the melodrama for two weeks...like they show in DABH and elsewhere. I was seeing Colors Top 5 scenes of the week...God!!! you should have seen...Roli ka hungama in SSK...It never ends.
I can tolerate any average level drama except melodrama. Why ? Because Melodrama means Viewer just takes the Shit from the Director, there is no way we can get involved with the drama, we are left to the mercy of the dramatist and his creation...so it doesn't become cathartic like regular drama and instead just becomes "Idiot box" watching with boxed eyes. If he says that Padmini gets to be released and there will be no crime chargesheeted against her or if chargesheeted, if he says that Indian Court absolved her from being guilty as charged without her even actually appearing in the court, I would have to just take it...no questions asked.

Balraj's end
As Shri said- now action is done and melodrama can start!
I liked the horrified look on RK's face in the beginning of the ep. Seeing how close Madhu came to dying, and knowing what part he played in Balraj coming to their lives...no wonder he wants to distance himself from Madhu. He needs time to deal with his guilt, and his perceived culpability. This being a TV serial means he won't get that time, but hopefully Madhu will not misunderstand him.
It's funny how RK and Balraj's story ended- it started when Balraj gave RK the means to destroy Madhu, and it ended with that very Madhubala being the instrument of his destruction. If you think about it, Rishbala was kickstarted by Ballu- he was the one, who, in jail, gave RK the idea for his revenge, which in turn later on led to the marriage and so on and so forth. Balraj was a true example of a man who caused a self-fufilling prophesy.
Not surprised at Trishna's actions- whenever she is in danger of being recognized for being selfish and having the empathy of a block of wood, she blames somebody else. First it was Madhu. Now its RK. A true heir of Balraj in terms of caring for others.
I also liked Madhu's performance in the hospital- poor thing was in total shock from everything. I'm surprised she didn't end up curling on the floor and sobbing. I would like a scene in which RK hugs Madhu tightly while she just lets the entire stress of the day go.

Commentary over Precap related Trishna drama and her character graph by CVs

I have only one curiosity for tomorrow's episode.
How did Trishna know that RK knew Balraj beforehand? That he was indirectly promoting her ?
How come the writers always mess up around Trishna plots ? They always make me angry with their illogical use of Trishna as if she is a lab rat, a guinea pig for their writing experiments.
And Roma...Why is Rakhi Vijayan not given adequate spotlight. She is as much experienced and known as Shama Deshpande. Wonder what role she has to play now...now that, her tryst with Trishna Producer turned out nothing but a filler material.

@Bold: I am confused about that part too. However if she did know then I would say Trishna is the most shameless character in this entire show even more than Dips. The lady has not displayed a single ounce of regret over her actions. She seems to consider offence as best defence.
My dislike for this character beats even my dislike for Dips and at times Radha.
I have an odd feeling that writers are undecided as to where they want to place Trishna. So far it seems that Trishna is geared to play gray character. She is watered down version of Ballu with her ambition, tendency to blame others for her misfortune and lack of emotional empathy. I have always found it odd that she connected more to Shamsher and Roma than Padmini who had practically lost her chance to escape because of her. However she has not hesitated in betraying Shamsher and Roma for her ambitions with movie incident either.
On a side note there have been times when viewers had ended up having a completely different perception of a character than what writers intended. Radha being an example...writers intended her to be a pitiful character pining for her son instead she can across as manipulative selfcentered, weak person who only wanted her son without having to work for it. I hope Trishna does not turn out to be the same.
From where I stand...No one is going to point any fingers at RK for Ballu partly because he was unaware of Ballu's identity and partly because he staked his life to save Madhu. Trishna on the other hand not only knew what she was doing but also made a decision to hide the truth. She will end up losing Madhu/RK's respect and Shamsher's trust. I cannot see Roma forgiving her- The big question is where will Trishna stand when her mentor walks away from her and family sidelines her.
If Trishna does turn out to be dark, Roma might play quite a bit of role in her life.

Pooja,
There is only one take home from the Trishna Melodrama tomorrow. Our (Viewer) anger to Trishna's accusation over RK, her ass-cover-up act becomes the emotional element towards the drama. Usually melodrama is all about being silent, being in panic, piteous and crying at the turn of the events. In all of this, there isn't an iota of questioning by viewer because there is nothing to question...but again Trishna now liberates our mind from this conundrum of events and we get back our logic.
Though I have caught that pulse from the writer, why I have expressed my displeasure with them is because, in the past too, they did not conclude Trishna plot in logical progression (denouement) ,...they just abruptly end it. They dealt Shamsher nicely, they dealt with Mukund also in a nice manner...last time Trishna and Roma were almost retired...hope these two characters after their revival for Padmini-Shamsher marriage track, are given some meat to look healthy before they are sent on outdoor shoots again. Roma and Trishna are now becoming another Kuku and Sikky.
Sourabh Tewari was supposed to portray Junior Actor life through Roma and Trishna. However, when he had to change the entire story to love story of Rishbala, Roma and Trishna lost their grounds.
From Episode 181 discussion for fits here
Seriously, my curiosity still remains.
- How did Trishna know that RK was promoting her ?
- How was Roma able to release herself from her captivity ?
And come to think of it, together their filler tracks added around 40 minutes approx of drama for Roma (all 8 episode clubbed together after re-entry) and around 120 minutes approx of drama for Trishna (23 episodes clubbed since Dec 2012).

Hi, everyone! Coming here very late but had a wonderful time reading this long thread and watching all the various themes emerge. (And seeing Zorica's beautiful wallpapers!)
Obvously no need for me to write anything as everyone has said the needful, and so well.
But two things kept pricking at my thoughts while I was reading -
the first was - you know, I have known many people like Trishna. I am not saying that to condone her actions or motives - quite the opposite is my feeling. But I known many, many like her, and I think the portrayal is a real slice of life. She is essentially an unevolved ego, an adult, but not matured. When things are going well, she feels it is her due. When things ae not going well, she feels the world is not appreciating her and someone must be to blame. (A very common human response - think of the places in the world where people used not to have science or medicine. If someone became ill, what was the explanation? Witchcraft! Sorcery! Jealousy - someone has it in for me.) So the flip-flop pf her character, which of course makes her a hateful person to endure, is very accurate to the reality of this type of person. Quite often, they make life extremely difficult for everyone around them, particularly if their family is kind and tolerant.
the second was - why in the world should RK feel guilty? That would be the last conclusion I would come to. He did not know the complex network of relationships forming the backdrop to this convergence of characters. He only realised what "BSC" meant in the context about five minutes before the gundas surrounded him on the road. Yes, it was he who roped Balraj in as Trishna's producer, but only because he was trying to help. One cannot be blamed in retrospect for actions taken in the moment - it is only later all the ramifications become known. So this was not the act of someone trying to mastermind a plot from behind the scenes, it was just an accident f fate. This madman would have resurfaced regardless, and perhaps in a much less public and vulnerable way. In that light, RK helped to bring forward a confrontation which badly needed to happen.

I agree with you Bhakti.
Viewer being Judgemental
In both the cases of Trishna and RK, I refuse to be judgmental until today's episode end. Because I don't like to judge people, until I get the chance to question them, in real life and in fiction as well. Most of the time, it is so contextual and taking judgement just ruins everything. Both Trishna and RK could have gone scot free had Balraj not revealed to all that Trishna knew and yet until this point no one knows how people will come to know that RK was associated with Balraj for Trishna's movie.
Tomorrow, we will know, if questioned, what Trishna has to say. In precap we just saw an argument between the two sisters. And if questioned rightly, all speculation ends.
I know Trishna kind of character. She goes for easy life. Grabs without thought when it suits her and throws back without heart when it doesn't suit her...like throwing away the buiscuits that Padmini buys for her when she was young. She throws the buiscuits away even when she is hungry and Padmini brings the food with difficulty. It was nice to see Padmini yelling at her at that time. She now blames RK trying to cover her ass, as if people are blind to her deeds. Ofcourse, she can take advantage of Madhu "not knowing the real story" and sell Madhu her story. But there is still Roma to question her.
Likewise, RK has not explicitly said, I feel guilty. It is us viewers thinking, he is guilty by expression. That is not enough for me to get judgemental.
So as viewer, watching fiction, I need someone to ask them questions on Balraj. Whatever they utter, then becomes the ground for me to judge then as guilty or not from their stand point and my stand point. Important thing when judging anyone is ...what is the basal event ? Madhu is holding Trishna responsible for what ? for hiding the fact that Balraj is back or blaming that because of Trishna, Balraj came to their lives and all that drama happened. Trishna is passing the baton to RK and holding him responsible and she is saying RK brought them to their lives. So if he planned evil, then why risk his life to save them all? And Madhu will question RK? Why ? And he will have to answer. But again...what did Madhu ask ? See its gets confusing to me...because its going in circles.
Leaving our judgement aside and lets just view character remorse.
Trishna is shameless and she will not feel remorseful at all. All she knows is her interest, her ambitions, her fear and her recourse to counter fear. In childhood, she used to run to Padmini for support, now as an adult, she runs to whomsoever who is going to support her. because in her family, all her elders have slapped her for her actions, she knows they will not support her, so she resorts blame, a sly game now. Earlier she indulged in open blame and got slapped. So she is going from bad to worse character. Decaying rather than growing...
RK, too had been trying to help Trishna in anonymous capacity. Under whatever constraints he had, he had been pretty neatly managing the production and management. How could he have dreamed that this man will turn out to be his wife's biological crazy father ? In business, businessmen take lot of risk. That doesn't mean, one debacle and people indulge in blame-game and feel guilty. RK was trying to strike a business deal with Balraj and his reward was going to be Trishna becoming a heroine. Nothing wrong in that investment.
And to tell Madhu ? Since when this became so mandatory ? In the past too,
- RK had hidden from Madhu that he has imported machines for Malik's speedy recovery.
- He also did not reveal that he made Padmini patch up with Shamsher
- He also did not reveal that he patched up with his mother.
- Then why Trishna's case he has to deal seperately ?
All the first three times, no one lectured him that he needs to tell all husband to Madhu !!!
Its just a character difference that they are bringing. While Trishna has no remorse and trying to blame a man because of whom she is alive now, and RK has lot of remorse inspite of the fact that he just got to know who is Balraj and he already saved everyone...
By talking or writing in this manner, I am addressing human basic tendency for blame game like Trishna. Even viewers are indulging in blame game at this end minute saying both Trishna and RK are to blame. Only those people/viewers who had censured Trishna and RK earlier to the incident have the right to blame them now...no one else has. And rest of others can be like Madhu and ask questions now...And all of this gets to be debated. You know that is why court rulings are received so unhappily.
