Events of the Episode
- Two men find Sultan washed off the water, they steal his wallet and lighter, play the lighter. Sultan starts showing signs of life. He gets up follows the men, uses his knife to threaten the two ruffians, gets back his wallet, lighter and grabs a mobile phone from them. He plays the lighter tune, closes and then reaches a safe-place for hiding. Calls up Kaaka, tells him where he is hiding, asks him and Aryan to come there as soon as possible.
- As Kaaka and Aryan prepare to leave, Madhu tells Kaaka that she does not like it that Aryan's life should be risked, asks him to leave Aryan with her. Kaaka tells Madhu that Sultan wants Aryan to be there and he has to take the boy to the father. Madhu protests, but Kaaka protests more and asks her to understand the situation. Kaaka and Aryan reach Sultan and we see that Madhu has also followed them. We do not know if Madhu followed them or came along with Kaaka.
- Sultan is upset and asks her why she followed his family. He gives his piece of mind that he doesn't like being lectured by her on how he raises his son and that she is no one to him, his son to pass her judgment on parenting. He also asks her to stay away when asked. Madhu is taken aback at this outburst from Sultan, but just at that point, Sultan faints and Madhu supports him.
- Kaaka and Aryan get a bed ready for Sultan. Madhu is panic-stricken and she tells Kaaka that a doctor should be called for. Kaaka refuses...expressing that is not advised. Madhu is baffled at his response. Kaaka tears Sultan's shirt and says that bullet needs to be removed. He heats (sanitizes) the knife and wants to use the knife over Sultan's skin to remove the bullet. The old man is unable to do it and so he turns to Madhu and asks her to become a surgeon to remove the bullet. Episode ends

Myself
Madhubala : Mera Dil Nahin Maan Raha - And She Changes Sultan's Plans. What can I say ? Whom I am even to question. Hmmm. Seeing Madhu's Heart on her Sleeve is the staple drama of MEIEJ...Poor Old Man...He had to do a Namaskar to let him go. Alas! to whose advantage...None. She followed him anyways and shameless man, used her services anyways.
I felt very bad for Sultan when he finally lost his control (in his weak moments of course) and started answering Madhu in all anger...as who is she to come and decide about Aryan. I almost wanted to cry aloud. As in why this woman interferes in people's life and why she reduces them to rubble in their weak moments. Her kindness is like charity, unwanted pity. She hurts you as if with a knife she is poking all wounds. She nevers asks if you need my help. She says you need my help.
Sultan, the way he finally became defensive instead of keeping his cool around her, showed her his emotional state. It was too depressing for me. This reminded me of the bottlebreaking scene and other good moments that Madhu earlier on showed to Rishabh Kundra. It is never a healthy situation when people pity a reluctant mind...because it only breeds bitterness. I am never going to forgive Madhu for what she did to Sultan today. A bad moment happened between the two...and it is now completely upto Sultan if he wants to forgive her for reducing him to that vulnerable state in front of her...a man almost dying and yet forced to defend himself before her that he can take care of his son and she does not have any right. People will say, Sultan was being ridiculous. But sensitivity will say...Madhu's being there was uncalled for. Simply uncalled for. This is how she messed up with Rishabh Kundra. Now who likes him...He is neither the person before he met her, nor the person that he likes himself about...because unwanted kindness, unwanted feelings and yet seemingly so right...they just breed more bitterness...like the person waiting to gain strength just to strike back when opportunity comes. Never shower unwanted pity. This is what students in special schools are taught and social servicemen and women are taught...withdraw from the situation, exercise caution, act in emotional detachment and help only when needed.
Madhu continues to mess up things emotionally...I think now for the first time, I am able to say...that I cannot watch her anymore play with other people's emotions. In the name of drama...she cannot be the same character. If she is hurting those men and from a different plane...opening them up; ultimately making them hinged to her through unknown and unexplored feelings that one does not even want to dwell on...she is hurting me-.the audience; even more. She is simply breaking rules of HELPING and the Limits to show Charity.
People...do not get offended with me...nor try to advise me how it is good and all...Any given day I prefer help only when I need it...I need to ask for it...or atleast give my consent. That is my nature...if I need to feel good about it. The one given to be in my unconscious state is always a blur...creating a blank...empty state of mind...which I feel I will never have any memory of it. And memory-less existence is worse fear one can have...not knowing what I did or what happened to me.
Coming out of my emotional state
- The bullet wound on the left shoulder for Sultan, just like Rishabh Kundra, was it to remind the viewers or Madhu ? Fact is Madhu did not remember even once how that guy also had a wound in same place. And as a viewer, I clearly remembered it. So am I to feel good that Madhu did nor remember or chant her Haulon se Veer hoon chant or am I to expect that it will happen in the coming episode ?
- Liked how Aryan understood what's going on and how swiftly he was helping Kaaka without making a mess of his emotions. Madhu was looking the imbecile in stark contrast to Aryan.
- And what a clunk ---the old man does not know how to use the knife and he needs to use Madhu the novice to use her bullet ripping skills with knives. What is ST on? High on which substance ? So he wants to justify the drama he created, wants to justify why Madhu was there...because she needs to help Sultan...because she can take up any new skill just like that. Am I going to be coerced into accepting this clunk ? I am never going to forgive the CVs for this torture.
- Dipali ...The moment this snake appeared on the screen...my heart-beat went up. What's wrong with me ? Why do I get so nervous and upset looking even at the shadow of this woman ?!!
An episode that has lot of dramatic significance and growth...in emotional and build-up terms, but an unpleasant episode for my mind, for which I am never going to forgive the destiny (in story terms) and the clunk (in terms of the weave CVs used with regards to involving Madhu) it had in loads.
It will be a bad memory in my heart...that can become a pain...if I will not forget it...or write it off with reactive confrontations once Sultan is alive and kicking...there needs to be something that Sultan needs to teach himself for putting him in that kind of jeopardy where he had an old man who could not help him, where he risked his life being emotional in his principles and about his power and weak for his son, that he decided to carry his heart on his sleeve and go to Bhujang rather than go with back-ups. If he can whip himself 50 times for putting himself in this situation, I shall be happy. And after that punishment to himself, he can lecture his useless Kaaka and the ever useful Madhu.
**************************************************************************************
Today, I got the feeling that Madhu should be locked up somewhere...or she needs to have a job always on her hand. The moment she says...I quit this job or Main doosra koi kaam doondh loongi...she does find a new job...with opportunity banging at her footsteps or at the door.
And though I never wish Rishabh Kundra to make Madhu part of his life, as I have not seen any qualities of growing relationship between the two...they have disparate thinking, nothing in common except getting attracted to each other...I think only he is available enough to take the drama she weaves and control it. I don't think Sultan or any other man can control Madhu.
Anyways...earlier Radhaji made Madhu accept Rishabh Kundra, now Kaaka and Aryan will make Madhu accept Sultan. And Padmini is her staunch support as always is the case. She is blessed by Padmini and directed by other old/young people to do things for them...
CVs...apna ghisa pita pattern se baahar aao...because you are hurting me.

Shri ,
Agree completely with you.
ETA : reminds me of the number of times RK told her not to look at him like a puppy ,,I guess now she just treated him as puppy and treating sultan same too
@bold
This is where me and my friends used to woe about offline (out of EDT). We were always like... he is asking her not to come close to him and she keeps doing things against his wishes and on top of that we do not even know if she is doing for love or just doing because she wants to do it her way. We used to see her ego as well...a pinch higher than RK and I was like...it will not sit well with him...and my other friend saying...wish she once shows to him and me...that yes, she is listening to him, heeding to him. There are those threads of heart...dil ke taar...they are delicate...one should be delicate about them...because ignoring all that breeds up something else.
I am clueless here...if RK is a villain...so they showed all that and it explains his actions towards her. But why are they making Sultan another scape-goat. Bechaara uski kya galti...why repeat same kind of drama for him ?
This is becoming a psycho-thriller now. The striker going for same kind of kills.

(With apologies to the Fugees) "Killing me softly"
Sultan sings:
Pulling my bullet with her fingers
Stinging my brain with her words
Killing me softly with her [kindness] strong
Killing me softly with her [kindness] strong
Telling me how to be a dad with her words
Killing me softly with her [kindness] strong
RK sings:
Strumming my brain with her memories
Stinging my heart with her words
Killing me softly with her [chant] song
Killing me softly with her [chant] song
Telling me off my whole life with her words
Killing me softly with her [chant] song

I haven't read the other reviews yet, so this is a "virgin" attempt -
First off, the Sulbala phangirls and love triangle conspiracy theorists will have had a field day today. However, I took Shri's advice to heart and just watched the epi without any RK hangups - as a slice in the life of Madhu.
It was good. It was entertaining. I liked it. I however saw no trace of any romance beginning between Madhu and Sultan, but that's just me!
Madhu is an idealistic, rash girl, who's going to get herself and her family in deep trouble because of what she did today. That probably includes RK. Even a kid realises this - my 10 year old son who was watching with me was shrieking as to why she's going behind things which are none of her business. But that's Madhu for you.
The Radha-Deepali scene was meh. Served no purpose other than to tell us RK has reached "Amerika".
I expect to have a semi-decent weekend without the usual bated breath about where the RK-Madhu story is headed next week - a relief of sorts! He's safely in Amerika, she's unsafely digging bullets out of gangsters, so all's well in the world.
Now, off to read all your lovely reviews. I'm really curious as to what you all think...

I couldn't have agreed more on this one... I started watching the show close to Ganpati track and I felt bad because I thought that RK is too controlling and as the drama unfolded esp during the Malik track, I realized that he was so right in doing so. I don't think anyone else could have controlled Madhu. She was always safe and stayed outta trouble when she was with RK. Lol..
I didn't watch the episode but from read the update. This is classic Madhu who gets herself and her family in trouble for her random missions and crusades. I realize that this is all her kindness and goodness but she needs to be mindful of consequences.
My rant is that I never liked RK n Dipali equation, and I can't like Madhu n Sultan together.. Thank CVs for Sultan's wife.. I hope she is alive, and comes back soon. I don't care if the entire universe falls for
Madhu n RK respectively but I can't see them with anyone else even in their wildest dreams..

My rant is about Su;ltan --come on what kind of a don is he? HE is the Sultan of Mumbai??? From what angle??? EVery don does have at least 3 trusted henchmen who would give their lives for their leader and family. Where are they? Sultan is a rookie don, trying to gather a team or something, abhi selection nahin hua types???
Forget the mother of all gangster movies...Godfather, closer home, we have Company, Satya, Sarkar...Ajay Devgan in OUATIM, Amitabh Bachchan in Sarkar, OR SRK in Don...they exude power. It's hardly been any time since he's landed in Mumbai, calls himself whatever, and he's left with his Kaka and his 5 year old son, and of course, one damsel who loves to help people in distress?
Hmmppf... I tried very hard to give this character a chance, but he 's really not upto the mark. He's lost his big chance, at least for me. Not that it is earth shattering in any which way what I think, but just saying
attached is a song from Satya...enjoy your weekend...(trying to get an english
translation)

Sultan is a loner. He doesn't trust anyone - no lieutenants or sidekicks for him. He does things alone. Kaka and the boy are the only two he allows in his circle.
He does have a band of goondas (remember his posse when he went windshield breaking) but they're just extra arms and legs. He's the brains and he likes to go at it alone.

My Journey from Beautician to Surgeon - By Madhubala Samsher Malik
Reporter: I am here today with the multi talented Miss Madhubala Samsher Malik. Welcome to the show Madhubala. Can you please briefly decribe your journey for our viewers?
Madhu: Gladly. I am a beautician by profession. I was on a hiatus for last 6 months, actually more like working exclusively with a client doing his champi, being his nurse amongst other things. Now that client has lost interest in further beauty serivces, so I became a hair dresser on a film set. That was a short stint after which I thought maybe nanny will be the best job for me. I looked after a 5-year old for a couple of days, you know teaching him prayers, telling him parion ki kahani. However my dil was not really in it. I wanted to seek thrill, adventure in life.
Reporter: Oh, so how did you go about it?
Madhu: I am just coming to that. This 5-year old's dad was playing Holi with his friend (not sure what calendar they follow for the festivals by the way), and his dad's friend Bhujang squired some red liquid on his dad's shirt and I don't know how the bottle cap got lodged in his shoulder. These people nowadays, I tell you...
Reporter: <intrigued> So what happened?
Madhu: Well, I happened to be there. I took one look at his face and took an instant decision. I will help this poor soul by fixing his shoulder. For that I will have to become a surgeon even though I don't know first thing about it. I mean, if I can wield a hair dryer, how difficult is it to wield a hot knife. You know what I mean?

Thank you so much..Liked this poster with just Sultan and his grit and resilience. For me everywhere it was positive and rebounding with energy until Madhu showed up her brain...Madhu needs to be passive. She does not make it a happy feel if she becomes active. Look at this poster...the man looks strong and the lighter revived him.
And in contrast...throughout the rest of the episode, Sultan turns a weak man before Madhu. She renders him totally weak and that hurt me to no extent. It was a stab on my heart. I really need something..some positive energy for this man...something he creates it himself without Madhu getting active, without her forcing her help.
Now CVs can I be spared of Madhu's kindness drama ? You sent away Rishabh Kundra from his madness, likewise can we be spared from Madhu-sweet tonic care.
I would like to watch Sultan drama with him being active and not through Madhu's point of view...No Conrad or Jamesian types of Point of View Narratives. I guess you people are getting it...all that ramble...is leading to how Sultan may have flashbacks of his wife.
