The Prologue to Face-Off between RK and Sultan. They meet but RK is not in his senses.
RK
Its downward spiral for RK the way it had been before he met Madhu. It was aimless existence then and now its obsessive interest in Madhu. Will death be a solution to his problems ? Could be. Very Possible. Can he end his life. He can if you ask me. Nothing to lose, nothing to gain there. As simple as that. His mother will be pained. And who else will be pained ? All the others can live. Life is ephemeral and if it doesn't make any sense, we can end it...just that there should be no desire left in us to live, there should be courage to do it...but Nope ...searching for accidental death is not done. RK !!! ...not done...you driving drunk on lone roads at night...not done. Better idea...Take a gun and shoot your brains like Hemingway...or pop a whole bottle of pills like Monroe or drinks like Guru Dutta ...or I don't have suicide ideas. One can just hope to get accidental death like Divya Bharti and Heath Ledger. RK you might just wish it...but real man should be able to explore all possibilities and then end his life...It takes guts if you ask me.
He does understand though...and asks logical questions still...yes what would have been the consequences had he not done drunk driving and had hit Mukund...Interesting though...
Sultan
The man refuses to stay away from Madhu. He needs to enter her life again and again. And why ? He calls it Destiny. Fate. I liked that. Well lived that much life atleast to understand it. He says, no one comes and goes in and out of life just like that...Fate governs it and everyone needs to adjust their appointment calender. Did Madhu and Padmini get it ? They seemed to need it. But did they understand ? No. That's life ...its difficult to understand.
And the same wise guy on his return path, meets up RK. Destiny right ? He was supposed to meet him. Just that he doesn't know if he is supposed to kill him or drop him at home.
Bermuda Triangle or the Devil's Triangle.
Madhu is already messed up between Sultan and RK. RK is messed up between zombie two eyed man and Madhu. Now Sultan is getting messed up between Madhu and RK. His visit to Madhu was not necessary except the fact that it led him to meet RK. Whose ship is going to sink between the three. Something seriously needs to get capsized in those dangerous currents.
What did I like about today's episode ?
- It was gripping drama.
- The fear felt by two women when they were plagued by a man over phone. a man whom they knew and then they heard the thumping knock at the door. Loved that fear on their faces. They needed that big time...Hauslon Se Veer hai Jo Dono. A reminder for them that they need to chant that mantra 24x7...unfortunately they forgot.
- That RK stopped calling Madhu when he got the hint she will not answer him and instead calls Padmini's phone. Well that shows he was serious about getting the number rather than just keep quiet.
What I did not like about today's episode ?
- The Precap...the mother daughter hug and their idealistic sense of Atma Samman and the old mother asking her young daugher...now go and return the money...ja uske mooh maar aa. What is that called..."Aag mein Ghee daalna"
- Sultan comes to the Chawl totally unsecured, and no one at the Chawl sees him. Was it 9 PM or 10 PM India time ? Was it midnight ? Still mother-daughter did not have food ? Where is Trishna now ? Conveniently sent off to Timbuctoo ?!!!!
What am I not liking ?
If families members get involved, if external people get involved...where is this going ? Its like the Phase I period. Madhu supported by family fuelled by them...Cannot talk much as it shall become speculation.
Its like Khandaan...and much later the Doordarshan Soap Junoon serial...With mighty starcast such as Mangal Dhillon, Radha Seth, Shashi Puri, Tom Alter, Kitu Gidwaani, Vijayendra Ghatge...you take their name and they were there...and what was ailing then all...JUNOON...never ending...never satisfied...one after the other...UNSTOPPABLE. My brain got messed up in between and I started getting confused, why was X after Y and eventually I bid adieu.

No its not rudderless. The story is well weaved and well constructed. Its just that it reflects so much of our life...the pointless emotions, the stoic acceptances, the difficult situations, the cross roads...what does one do ? What does one decide ? The nag of life never stops raking us.
Its nagging pain...open wound, before it gets healed, something else strikes us.
Like I always said about these characters...they woke up on the wrong side of the bed and someone they just met rubbed them on the wrong side. And before you know, you are pulled into the swamp.

Zoya and Preet will cry...but I have to say it. I have no issues them never getting together...but before they part, I need them to talk to each other to get them about their individual and mutual craziness...They have that kind of history between them. They can part amicably and continue spreading happiness to life around them...obviously, he is a star who is liked by people and she is generally liked by all around her.
BTW...I had this thought today...if RK were to get mortally injured and he is being taken to hospital, if Madhu ( IF that happens) were to want to see him, this time around Dips would not even allow her to see him.

Can anyone explain me, how Madhu will get back her self-respect by returning the money ? I would rather read it as GUROOR, LALKAAR.

I so agree with you. With this kind of Madhu, I would not want a Mukund, an RK and a Sultan near her. She would equally ruin them all. She has that capacity.
Everyone forgets that back in RK Mansion too, when RK was supposedly faking his love, he kept all the patience around, even then she was wierd
1) She goes to any extent to have the man bend down to his God Ganesha !! Was it needed? NO. But she did. Half of the intelligent crowd that I knew for MEIEJ left the show. Because it was totally absurd.
2) She calls him a God...I actually posted at that time...Does this girl even know why she loves the man so much ? And I literally and figuratively asked here...how can one love a God in mating sense, unless Madhu herself is the Goddess. If then Madhu is Goddess, why is she lamenting that she once treated him as God. If Madhu is not Goddess and was mere mortal, what happened to her Atma Samman to catapult someone to Godly status ? Isn't it something to think about, from an independent perspective. Seriously I am not a feminist, I hate the concept to the core, but I am all about humanity, individuality, independence and Compassion. And none of these four concepts will allow me to treat a fellow mortal (Human beings can err) as God. Btw I am religious, but I don't follow organized religion. And God means a lot to me.
3) She keeps a Karwa Chouth and what did she not do there...we know all that drama. I was the shameless one who was instigating her to keep it for my dramatic entertainment. But yes I did not ignore that in the process, I was being the Devil's Advocate by making her overrule all RK's notions on the festival...that it is highly overrated festival. That event showed us she has crossed all limits of being crazy for him. But as I said...I knew she lost it and I was like ...go on ...I am enjoying the drama here.
4) She even cooks for him when he doesn't like it...like immediately after karwa Chouth and that Sarson Ka Saag...two times. Basically Madhu is overwhelmingly close to him, leaving no personal space for him...she kills him with her kindness, the same thing which she is now doing to Aryan. The boy who fears his father, but is capable of ignoring his father for a while and give a smile to Madhu when he sees her. She is a Circe...Maano ya na maano. She bewitches people around her and I am sure it gets suffocating or you realize the ensnare when out of her hold.
I was unable to express what I want to say...but its like that...remember the post I wrote...on Subtleties of Relationships...Madhu overrides emotions and hence will never know what rupture she will cause to a soul due to her insensitivity around a problematic situation of a problem person. A wise person will know when to retreat, when to fear, when to say No. And honestly if Madhu is all right about what she does, why problem persons like Sultan and RK, can't leave her alone. Thing is increasingly I am getting the feeling that...someone needs to put an end to this drama.
All people believe that Madhu is really all good. In my opinion she is seriously flawed and she can never be cured of her thinking. And in that token, I need Sultan and RK to get away from her as far as possible. Let RK get his punishment for life for having been a bull and tried to play with Madhu the matador. But in the end...just send him somewhere where he can meet sensible people like really intellectual people with an opportunity for his mind to grow. And Mr.Sultan...even New York is run by the Mob. So don't worry...you can keep running your business away from all social censure of idle people like us who have nothing better than talk nonsense about morally right and wrong things. Do whatever you have to in your line of business, just don't get caught with simply a person that does not seem fit for you. Or if you have the brains to subdue her wits, then show us your beef.
If the makers really want me to believe in Rishbala...yes give Madhu all the power to trample RK and lecture Sultan, but please atleast give us a character in Madhu like Florence Nightingale or Pearl S Buck. More than RK or Sultan (they both have a vocation in their life), Madhu needs to find a purpose in life. What is her vocation, what is her calling...to stay a Simple Girl all her life, when LIFE simply refuses to let her alone and keeps challenging her to go for bigger things. The woman needs to grow her brains and find some vocation other than hair-dressing and tending to Mobster's Handicap Son. She can start working with an NGO. [An aside...My friend's sister did her ECG technician course right after her XII, got associated with an NGO for Voluntary Social work and got married and is now mother of two kids. That girl...a simple girl and yet achieving things...like so many of us....]
Tell me about how a Soap Heroine who Cannot be Developed due to Story requirements...

Clunky Plot requirements ...but there is only so much beauty and adjustment can happen in a drama. I am equally getting disgusted of the two...and I want both of them go seperate ways and find a life and leave us alone.
Well...O...ST will say, leave the show, don't watch it. Don't worry Mr.ST...my emotional spiral has just started...and I need proofs that I am right...my utmost sympathies with Sultan and Aryan, I am imaginatively bludgeoning RK for not developing his brains and stay away from Madhu...His time is over...and if Sultan tomorrow shoots him...it would have been such a relief to watch...end of his drunken driving, end of his empty mind led devil's play...but unfortunately he shall survive. At this point, I do not have yet a disconnect with the show...my heart still responds to the show...like this feelings for Sultan and RK I had today...they need to stop and then I will be able to move on. Everyone in the show moves me except Dipali, Madhu and Padmini. Sigh...I shall stop boring you guys. Sorry.

Totally agree Ananya. Even now only RK makes sense and none of the others make sense. Because it is that clunky..
Honestly speaking, just because ST loves RK and RK created drama, it doesn't mean that first ST turns him into a senseless crap and now through contrasting character lines, infuse senselessness in all the characters around him. A measured drama of Comparisons and Contrasts.
So the challenge before the CVs was...look the person who is now fallen on the ground is (RK post revenge). How do we make him look still the higher. ...Simple. take everyone else down the mining shaft to Pataal Lok...So Madhu takes the lift to UnderWorld. Now who stands tall ? RK. But how do we get the drama...Simple...make RK lose his senses completely and let him jump (no no no mine shaft or lift) straight into the pit. Atleast Madhu has clean attire, looks neat...look at RK, he is all covered in mud and soot...even physically unrecognizable.

Re epitome of Insecurity and being jealous.
The CVs have NOT been able to sell me RK as a jealous man. Why ? Because a jealous and insecure man creates FEAR in the other objects. I don't see that FEAR in Madhu at all...neither when she was married to him nor when she is separated from him. A jealous person keeps confusing the people around him, raising the fear levels that there comes a time when the other objects become unable to lead their life openly and instead start living the life of the person whom they want to please.
If we go to Soubhagyavati Devo Bhav...you will see that kind of man in Viraj and that kind of fearing woman in Janaki. Here in MEIEJ, I am rarely afraid of RK. Madhu is hardly scared of him. And since unwedding, even Radhaji has started mocking him. So in what sense he is now insecure or jealous man. What does he possess that he has to be insecure about losing? What does he love that he has to be jealous about to feel not getting enough? That is why I call this track as BS. Because questions galore and inherently everything falls and fails.
When Radhaji married and RK had to share his mother with Sikky and see Kukkuji as his father, he had issues...that can be called issues stemming from possessiveness. That is why Radhaji acted guilty. There was a relationship there and it got ruptured and so all kinds of issues. That is why I was saying RK needs to learn to share...atleast now that he patched up with his mom, he can do that. Why ? He told his mother point-blankly that he accepted her (after 17 years) but will not accept the other 3 Bhatias. When one is able to Negate a relationship, then sharing becomes easy as you know when you can give into it as against the forced sharing which happened to him when was the 12 year old kid.
RIshabh Kundra's problem...is he needs to have a say in matters important to him. He needs to be consulted upon and his consent has to be given. If this is not given or he is failed, then he wreaks havoc on all...and this is a consistent trait in him. Even now with MB, its not about jealous etc (which everyone perfectly keep playing...only to be fooling around) ...its about...his consent. He doesn't agree to what's going on. Control freak that he is.
His problem of heightened curiosity to know what's going on in Madhu's life has not happened just like that post revenge. Post Revenge, he tried to make her go away working in front of him through 3 day challenge Track. When that failed...drunken night happened where he ended up knowing that they had a night together, the events of which he cannot remember. And immediately follows her to outdoor location, protects her from a cheapster, has nearly more than 24 hours of staying at that place with her...offshoot, onshoot passive interaction...and all of it was pleasing and not animated or enemy like. After that she goes missing...and he reacts in that doggy manner, has the whole Police Force employed only to find out she came safely home with another man and refusing to divulge anything. If you ask me...its a hit on manliness...as in how would RK feel...when Police Commissioner or other Imp people...assume...So Mr.RK...so your Ex-Wife got back all safe...so hope you knew what happened there...etc...as in how does one feel...not even to know how she went missing and how she came back.
I will never say Madhu is wrong in not giving any information to RK. Even now when she refuses to tell him anything, I hardly raise objections on her behavior. Let me be clear...not even in one single post I have said she should answer RK. Nope...because RK has lost that right. But yes, Madhu has to make it clear to her family, friends and even Sultan. That is my expectation from Madhu. With RK...she should be ..."RK...Bhaad mein jaao Tum...I don't have anything to do with you."...especially when you now act bossy and possessive of me...what rights you have post unwedding drama. Fair and Square...this is how I treat you...You are nothing in my life."
But I will also not say RK is wrong in trying to find out who is that man ? HE doesn't have any right to know, but he can be curious, especially after the remnants of affection displayed between the two post the drunken night. And increasingly he is getting interested in Madhu, because her behaviour is erratic to him...this Madhu is evasive...this is where his not knowing irks him.
Psychologically, the CVs cannot sell me jealousy track at this juncture, when they have no relationship at all...as that fear, morbidity etc is missing from Madhu and the environment alike...we are seeing a good drama here...where we laugh, bash and mock. We don't feel strained, we feel bored. And when do these symptoms rise...when we start withdrawing from the drama...why are we withdrawing...because the man is crying hoarse for consequences created by himself. And where is all this leading to ...COMMITMENT. The guy needs himself to Commit to something over which he has no right, wants to , has no access and so trying to barge in ...whichever way possible. This is forceful intrusion in her life and that is what I am getting bored of ...and sorry I don't see any jealousy or insecurity there...I see only as him losing his emotional control on her...or his other issue of feeling abandoned, left out...He cannot get abandoned, he cannot have people just leave him without them telling him that they are leaving him...and he knows Madhu has not abandoned him out of her will and that is why last night he finally lamented that his love could not hold her back, on which he had banked on his revenge plan/punishment to flourish...that was what he expected to happen and it failed miserably...like at last he showed his secret card...that he thought would allow his drama to go on. Now he is almost there...prepared to lose, relinquish his control on her...but just that he wants a decent fight...so looking for that duelly kind of fight.
We cannot mix up psychological concepts just like that...need to see them structurally...Ai wain...Rishta hai nahin...Jealous hone ka haque de diya logon ne...Rishta banao aur phir pooch lo...that is what Madhu is saying and that is what I agree on also. And this suits his character too...he needs to be consulted on everything and him being slighted when he is interested is not sitting with him...perfectly dogged trait in him...but it cannot be called as jealousy. He did not dream in that way also...for us to have a clue...In his dream too he is concerned and wants to know who that person is and senses danger as Madhu is hynotically leaving him.
Why is this a realization track ?
Like Newton said...every action has Opposite and equal reaction.
Jealousy track fails miserably on that law. This is PLAIN LINGO speak for the Average mind to make it easy for them to explain. In fact this track is Realization Track.
But revenge track is explained perfectly through that law.
His revenge plan was "She loves me so much that she will be unable to move on where as I would have moved on away from her"
His plan flopped. "Whether she loves me now or not...I do not know...She definitely has moved on...and here I am hinged on to her, unable to move on".
This is the realization. What goes around, comes around. She did not even have to lift her finger to destroy him. But all that is happening when he is drunk. How are they going to translate it into conscious drama...this is where my patience is fizzling out.
And that's why I need this man(Rishabh Kundra) to back out from Madhu...like she said...Mom...I am not going to back out until he backs out. I need this man to stay away from Madhu knowing that he lost her because of his grand plans of revenge. I need him to realize that...when a man marries out of revenge, he cannot forget the ground rules that he cannot fall in love with the object of revenge. I need him to be a man to accept at which point of his grandiose plan he started to sway from his path...because this realization will then tell me that his love was NOT FAKE...that he got caught in his own web...that instead of making her love him, he ended up loving her. This is what I want him to realize and this shall be the poetic justice to me...him away from her, losing her and realizing, how, when and where he started falling for her.

The way the show should be watched.
Usually the CVs through Madhu's crazy takes, run the drama. I know this and so never get offended by her. She(the mover of the drama) starts offending me when viewers do not understand the drama and end up bashing RK, all the other MEIEJ characters and question her motives. Then I get so frustrated at the dumb atmosphere that I lash out at Madhu, for even having starting the drama, for which people are confused about.
In MEIEJ - rules are simple. Madhu creates drama. She is the Karta-Vidhaata of the drama. So what's left for us is to discuss and debate other's reactions to her drama (as in we are left to discuss other characters). That is why we can openly discuss RK and others...but sadly we are called ...that Madhu is not being discussed as much as RK. My answer to them is...what's there to discuss anything there...she is already creating the ripples. This is what even Raghuvir Shekhawat keeps saying.
Honestly...this show is more for logicians than for emotional people.
