Holi Hai !! - part 2. Rishabh Kundra colors Madhu; all in passion and Madhu colors Sultan all in care.
Events of the Episode
- Must watch episode for the scene to be watched between RK and Madhu, about how RK colors Madhu. VD and DD's acting is awesome and the factual representation of events will not present you the beauty of the episode.
- Continuing from yesterday's episode, end of the dance, RK picks up Madhu (cradle position) in his arms, she is shedding tears and he is concentratedly looking into her eyes, all involved in her, seeing all her emotions. He takes her away to the empty corridors of the Chawl. MB asks him to put her down, and RK does. As she positions herself against the wall and asks him why he is there and proceeds to leave him, RK pins her to the wall. The bickering between husband and wife (you can add EX too) continues, with RK focussed more on not letting her go away and MB focussed more on showing her disgust and disappointment in him. RK states that he came to color her as it is his sole right to color her even if has no right. And upon MB's asking why he thinks so, he states that he is going to tell her the moment he himself knows the answer to that question. MB looks at him stumped and frustrated. RK starts coloring her with his love and passion. He loses himself to the moment. We see an RK who has not been seen like that before. MB is completely taken in too. As he sensuously colors her face and hands slowly drinking in the pleasure of coloring her, MB all in tremble at his touch, loses herself to the moment, absorbing all that feeling it generates in her. She opens her eyes to look at his lost eyes, lost into her...tears trickle down her as he cups her face lovingly. He tells her that it is only his right to color her in such passion and it is only her right to tremble at his passionate touch. MB looks stumped totally. RK manages to greet her softly "Holi Mubarak Ho Biwi" "Pati Ko wish nahi karogi" Madhu sweetly looks at him and gets ready to color him. However at that moment, her attention shifts to RK's background. In the background, behind RK's back. MB sees Bhujang's men. She panics, gets it that they are here for Sultan. She leaves RK and runs towards Sultan and for a long moment looks at him, confusing Sultan and then colors him all over the face...an act stumping Sultan and angering RK. RK leaves the place as MB tells Sultan that Bhujang's men are there looking for him.
- Sultan asks her to take care of Aryan in the flat where they stay. Asks all Chawlpeople to get into their apts and calls for Bhujang's men. Meanwhile MB remembers that RK might still be there and as she looks, she sees that RK is leaving. MB is sad that she could not color him.
- Sultan asks MB and Padmini (who is coming running down for Madhu) to leave and soon he quickly kills Bhujang's men breaking their necks. He calls out for Bhujang. Episode ends.
Episode Reviews - Mine and Zoya
Again it was beautiful and painful.
I want to narrate an incident today before I go on my review. It was 1989. QSQT (Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak) was superhit after long long time. It so happened that for X Board results I had come back to Delhi from South (Summer holidays) along with my father. As a celebration of good result, I asked my father to treat me QSQT movie. And we did watch. And we both liked it. Then after another fortnight or more, mom and sibs came back. And this time I forced the other three to get ready to watch QSQT. They wouldn't budge from home...but anyways got the tickets from Milan talkies I guess, the one in Connaught Place; for the evening show...then took them. All 4 were enjoying and I was obviously enjoying the most ...my second watch... a real treat...no...without any DVD or Internet days. It was VCR days for which people could rent VCR player with the operator/seller of music cassettes. As the movie reached its climax scene with Juhi's father, uncle and cousin coming to hunt them down, to kill Aamir, the goons and Amir's father and uncle also searching for him...NOW...at this point, someone got up, others got up in the front, more people got up...so all were wondering what happened. Someone said...that concrete has fallen and its coming from the ceiling. That's it panic spread. Uproar and everyone started for exit. ...NOW what was I doing ? I was watching the movie without a care even as I saw the disturbance at concrete fall and that it was going to be mayhem. What was my mom and sibs doing ? Mom heard what happened. Sibs were looking at people. Then mom commands, come on kids ...lets get going. And HERE...what do I do ? I say, "Amma, Movie is ending...lets finish and go. She shows me her eyes. I look defiant. And I say nothings gonna happen and we are just wasting time not watching the movie. She was shocked beyond belief. Then she smiled at my craziness and then laughed and said Okay. We stood there watching the movie...others too stood as movie was ending...and when movie ended we left.
Back at home...mom wouldn't stop teasing me how crazy I was and I was... like I care...total besharam...that I was determined to watch and I did. My bro tried to instigate mom more and more to get angry with me...as if its gonna happen in his lifetime ...and still was contented that I watched the movie and Bhaad mein jaaye woh theater which caused that disturbance.
So why I narrated that incident...wasting time and lines and creating this long post. Because I wanted to say...PRIORITIES. How we decide the Priority in our life !!! I am presently a FIX Analyst. So per FIX protocol, we have this rule for order(business transaction) state. Its has 12 states in one of its actively used version; and each state has its priority. The highest priority is about Cancellation request pending on a Live Order followed by Amendment Request pending to be acknowledged and so on so forth... And no other decision or transaction update can change the order state from its priority state until and unless the priority request affecting the order's live state is either accepted or rejected (approved or disapproved).
That was the situation for Madhu today. She had cancellation request in hand for quite a long time and now a consideration that could effectively make her decide to reject the cancellation and set the live state to the next VALID Live state of the relationship, whichever it was called.
But what did she do. She kept it hanging. Neither a yes. Nor a No.
Look at me...Perception of Life in Danger and I tell my mom - NO for a triviality called movie.
Look at Madhu - Perception of something potential and CRITICALLY SENSITIVE moment for both of them (Rishabh and Madhu) and yet Madhu let stray her mind.
If I was Madhu, everything else later, first my heart...but then I am not Madhu. Madhu has many hearts. Remember Syl's post "The Sandwich". She showed us how Madhu can replicate many hearts for her. Here is the link. http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3510580
It was poignantly clear today. Madhu is more of an outgoing person. She will ignore those close to her (carry weightage precedence-wise) ones and give priority to outsiders/distant ones(Lower in precedence rules). This is pure abnormality if seen in realistic/business world. Principles need to be maintained and whims and fancies cannot rule. Madhu ignored Padmini and Trishna vis-a-vis her acquaintance with Aryan/Sultan. The same thing she did with RK during test of Love. And today she did that again.
It doesn't matter that she did that to a deserving candidate RK, technically he deserved an OUT as his request was getting stale...fine...this is not business and have to talk common lingo ...human interactive language. It doesn't matter that Madhu gave that treatment to deserving person RK, what matters is she hurt herself through that straying and resulting de-prioritization. The woman has to understand her priorities. But that's just her.
But what came across to me today was...this story or RishBala was going to be an unrequited love story. When RK would want her most, she will not reciprocate to him. Which would send him in downward spiral of hurt , with him scheming to return the same hurt to her, even with higher magnitude (as he considers her HIS EQUAL and NO LESS), which Madhu due to her insensitive/overriding/misplaced priorities nature will fail to notice, get swayed by his sweet talk, be gullible and when its time for her to be reciprocated in want, in desire, she would receive the same hurt from him which she gave him in miscalculation. And when she is hurt, instead of taking it on him, she would again look at the world in front of her which would hurt him again, he would come back, cajole her, plead with her and in his own way explain to her how he desires her, she would yield to him and when just ready to surrender will turn away from him as something insignificant had come up just so that she can ignore their moment.
Its clearly not a good match for these two passionate people as they would just hurt each other in Merry-Go-Round Act. But why is it that they cannot turn away from each other...because no one else can satisfy them, no one else can complete them.
Yes, its about ego, hurt, avenging, crankiness, love, forgiving, mistakes, hurting, ego, avenging and it will go on. Last time Madhu hurt his Pride, his Status, Him. This time Madhu hurt his Regard, his surrender to his passion for her. The man is not going to like his unrequited surrender to her. Why ? because he felt the connection they had, the electricity in the moment they had, the moment was there...And she was able to break it while he was still in its hold. This is going to hurt him so bad that his ego will start kicking him extra bad.
If only Madhu had not shown her yielding to him, things would have been better for both of them. Each of them could have peace in their life. They would have let go of each other in far easier manner. Through the passion play they had in Holi, it is very clear that passion for each other is going to destroy them if they do not regulate their other exclusive passions affecting the passion that binds them for eternity.
Thing is Rishabh Kundra has tasted Madhubala Malik's love. Now he cannot have anything else. His life is insipid without her. And he has turned his obsession to possess her as otherwise he will die. Tera Ishq hi Mera Junoon, bekaraar kahen ya karaar.
And Madhu has yielded to him unconditionally. Kaisa Yeh Ishq, Kaisa yeh junoon, bekaraari mein tu hi karaar. Today, all my questions end about Madhu's love for Rishabh...all the why's end. Madhu has no reason no rationale, she just loves Rishabh to the end of the earth as she just needs to love and be loved. She is a person who wants to gives away a heart to anyone if she sets it upon herself to love that person. Like she did with Aryan. It is her need to love someone so passionately and it has been explained to us through Aryan. And therefore when Rishabh Kundra expressed his love and passion for her today, she saw it, she felt it ...come on bodies don't lie...pure basic instincts...that is a reason enough for her to go on yielding to him. More than him getting hurt that she did not apply color over him, Madhu is going to get hurt 100 times more for not being able to color him as she had wanted to and her other concerns took her moment away. She would then go on extra mile to make it upto him for her mistake...
Alas...there comes the twist...he might be so hurting that he might not even want to see her extra obligatory making up surrender, because he wants an equal surrender from her at the right moment, when he is ready and surrendering himself and she is ready yielding herself to him. She is after all his junglee billi, HIS EQUAL always. He would never accept the weakened Madhu for showing his love and desire for her. For his own peace, she needs to be the stronger one. And this is where...they will always hurt each other...him getting her to his level and she immersing herself in everything else other than him at that critical moment.
This was summation of what I got today.

And now what I felt today between them. Electricity. OMG !!! I did not know Rishabh Kundra could be so passionate about Madhu. I really felt surprised how he was able to control his anger, let himself loose in his love for her, making her feel it, making her break her ice, feeling her pain that makes him be tender to her, allowing her to be angry at him, cajoling her with his drama (his jokes), making her react and finally expressing himself to her, as it comes, as it oozes out without even his knowing. He doesn't even know that he can be really soft to her and she would see it all.
Hmmm!! Forget it. I don't think I am going to get the same moment again for a long time in all its truth as hurt has taken seed and its now going to be germinated, watered with elan by Rishabh Kundra unless he has a new mantra to regulate his passion of living in hurt.

And God!!! even Film stars have been left behind by VD and DD in bringing out the passion and emotion when he colors her. Pure magic !!!
Let me try thinking hard...better than Aamir, Shahrukh was never liked by me...who else Akshaye khanna ...he is good, Ajay Devgan, he is good, Naseeruddin Shah, Farooque Sheikh, Amol Palekar...they are good...Shammi Kapoor and many others...Dilip Kumar, Guru Dutt and Devanand. I think I will go for Guru Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Naseruddin Shah and Amol Palekar who were close to VD today. Can you imagine, I am comparing these actors as a comparable peer to the established standard of VD!!!
Diction wise, without adding any of his special (read RKesque drama/jokes/BBB style) flavour, VD slipped into being Rishabh Kundra when he emoted that craziness, that surrender to the moment of emotion for him, the passion he felt when he said these lines...simply awesome. Him slipping out of Superstar RK and becoming just himself was so flawless, even Rishabh Kundra did not know when he slipped and how he appeared. Gosh!! VD can act. And DD looked so ethereal and so melting in that moment.

WOW MOMENT with that coloring and that emotional expression of passion. Even that touch seemed pure love.
Guys what did I write in my EOD summary two days back...him going to claim her back...to color her in Passion with his love. Wasn't i right ? ...predicted two days before.
I am sorry, but today you have to bear me for inflating my ego.

- Back in September end of 2012, I summarized this.
I do deserve my own patting on my back for that. How that night I got the inspiration I don't know. I was in the newly started EDT, in the night in company of night-outers, my friends and it just flowed out when I was explaining something to my friend Peach.

Ishq -
- Rishabh's ishq is caring and being possessive about MB. There's certain level of deewanapan in the way he's after her. Be it to show his smirks or making his peremptory demands, its his expression of admiration for her, attraction for her and the desire to be in her company. Cluelessly enamoured royal tiger...I may as well be shameless and say seems in perpetual heat w.r.t MB
- MB's Ishq - Am guessing that it too will be possessive like Rishabh's. And her ishq so far has an expression of giving spontaneous response to RK's any kind of act. She just can't stop reacting to him. Cluelessly affected by him. She is angry, child-like, demanding, puppy-faced, looking teased and a royal queen.
Junoon -
- Rishabh's junoon is to hide away under his mask or be a recluse in his cave. His junoon is also to conserve his Super Ego. Those who strike it, they are GONE! That's why MB has been the target. She questioned his thought-process, his way of living.
- Madhu's junoon is to fight for others cares without any thought for her. She goes to insane limits. Take the case of Mukund, Shamsher Malik... and now it is RK and her standing up to restore his faith in his friend and care-taker Ganesha'.and soon a day is going to come when she will decide to take care of Rishu, when she understands that RK's way of living is not a living but a coping to live through'..her eternal fight with RK.

From Ghalib...Ishq (Love) cannot be forced or prevented. It's the fire which cannot be set ablaze or when ablaze cannot be extinguished.

- When Peach asked for explanation, FQ gave this for RK-MB Story.
In this context, the restlessness 'khalish' comes from that neither of them know what's going on. If it was love, 'jigar ke paar' they would not have been so restless. There is no subject object here. BOth are victimes without agency.
The whole ghazal is about lack of fulfillment, lack ot intention and the viscous space between certainty and uncertainty. It is laced with doubt, it plumbs the interstices of communication. I love it.

Beautifully expressed through this sher. That is what they are going through now. Angst, anxiety, restlessness, ignorance, the whilsts and wherefore !! OMG !!! The anguish before completely taken in love and given in love...

I may not be an expressive person emotions-wise or may not even know how to do things right when in love, BUT, I have been there. It feels like it.
And that phase is beauty in itself, a poem, a suspended state, a yearning state...
And I have seen the Ishq of that aatish type as well.
I fell in love twice. Scorpio (sun sign-wise) that I am. Imagine how intense it can be if I fall in love

Shri, that was a wonderful write-up about RK-Madhu equation...
It is her love that feeds his junoon... But Madhu might never be as junooni as him coz of her misplaced priorities at that particular moment when he demands it/ surrenders himself to her completely...
That is also why "Bujhke bhi na bujhe pyas o rabba"... Coz he knows that her love for him knows no boundaries and loves him to the end of this world but in that one particular moment when he needs/demands it, he would be left hanging and craving...
Their photo-frame time and again will always keep making an appearance in different scenarios:(
As for how RK could control his anger, like Areyaar pointed out in the above post, by the end of the dance, everything changed, and there was no place for anger... And the moment she tells him to put her down, the guy is already grinning at her irritation and starts his Biwi ko rang lagane ke liye patao mission... He came there with the sole purpose of celebrating Holi with her but alas, when he reached, what he saw made him angry and hence his priority became to claim her as his in front of the other man... Once that was done, he focussed on what he actually came for..

without even watching the episode, I can answer this for you. Its damn easy !!!! come on girl !!! How could you miss it.

Phir bhi sirf mera hai - Still it is only mine as you give me that haque(right) with your love for me.
That is what his revenge was supposed to be about ...I will leave you loving me. - But Sultan came and he saw that accidents can happen and someone else too can color Madhu (it doesn't matter even if she loves only him).
And that's why he came back to show his love for her, inspite of him losing his rights. Because what does a lover need...to love and be loved. He was right, she loved me so I have to love her back. That is what his smile is about and her pain is about (when she yielded to him in that dance).- from yesterday's episode.
