Episode Events
Madhu gets home all upset. Radhaji asks where is RK...Commotion starts where is RK. He is gone missing. The security people employed to monitor the Bhatias reveal that Dips was in RK's room for half an hour when RK left RK Mansion in a Huff. Madhu asks Dips what was it that passed between her and RK and more importantly what was she doing in her room. Unbelievably the best scene of the episode. Rest of the episode was about RK's flashback in some remote place where he thinks on what transpired between him and Dipali. Dipali is remembered by RK as goading that Rishabh Kundra is not lucky in love and he is destined to be loveless. Dipali also asks RK to prove her that Madhu is not after RK persona and is capable of loving Rishabh. RK gets terribly upset and leaves the house with a mental resolve that he needs to win and he cannot fail in his love quest.
My Episode Take
I have to say the drama is A class. I rate the episode A.
Madhu was deadly with her threat to Dipali. Seems this is the end of Dipali. I get that feel. Madhu! way to go girl!
That way Madhu threatened Dips as why she was not in her room and was in RK's room, sure seemed odd to Sikky today.
RK was at his weakest today. Pity him!!!
I am not liking it that his logic failed and his insecurities clogged his mind, but truly, the CVs justified today, why initially the entire forum thought RK was sexually not developed (at least I thought so, and we had META discussion on that at great length) when he brought Madhu to his room and he could not deal with Dips directly. Dips keeps coming to his room so naturally as that is her own room...shows his weakness. So the CVs are infact doing a loop closure on RK. His problem is where it is, so they are now forcing him to address it. Although scapegoat is becoming Madhu here, and it makes us all see RK in bad light. But then that initial diagnosis we had towards RK's is now coming right. The unresolved sexual tension and mental tension needs to be addressed. I once said RK always looks being bullied by Dips. The same thing happened again and this time consequences are quite shameless. Each time RK got away with Dips when Madhu made her presence like her being in the house, or reaching his room. Today she was not there...and even as RK reached for Dips throat, she jinxed his happiness and he took it to his heart which he says is dead and we know it is not.
Now the weak Rishabh is forcing RK to become scheming and go for proving his logic to world's deceits. So Rishabh is making RK to test his Dimaag ka Rishta. Basically Dips played the Satan today. Hence, didn't I say from last two days that Dips looks deadly ? And that RK needs a Kaala teeka ? There is this negative energy that his mind is not strong enough to oppose it.
So my title continues ...The Nagging and Dogging Baggage Needs to be Burned-Part 2
Anyone interested to read what we discussed earlier on RK in September. Peach knows this. Some others also know.
Not sure if the blog can be viewed by everyone. Just try it.
Excerpt:
And if that was not a spectacle to watch, we have another mute drama to watch. The Superstar RK whose mouth is never closed and utters bombastic dialogues and taunts and every ready to yell or scream, he gets tongue-tied when a certain family member Deepali leaves not a moment to seduce him. And she was not even a Siren if you ask me, but our RK had an attack of consternation.
This lead me to conclude that Rishabh Kundra is not a fully sexually developed man and to be more specific. He grew up too fast, leaving gaping holes on his psyche. I had this conversation going on with Jackie, FQ and FG earlier, which I am going to paste in my next post.
The presentation of the subject and his mind through use of Flashback technique
The production crew is experimenting with changes in story telling in the form of presentation. Instead of the straight linear style of narrative/presentation, they are employing the use of flashback technique to lay emphasis on what the mind is registering. The flashback technique not only provides the scope of drama through introducing suspense and thriller elements of the drama thereby ensuring that viewers stay interested and invested in the drama, it also tells us that we are seeing the point of view of the character who is having the flashback. So it is that character's thinking, mental plane and emotion rather than our take or writers's objective presentation.
The entire Rishabh Kundra's insecurities and inner fears could not have been expressed better than shown in this way. This manner in which it was shown was completely personal to Rishabh Kundra, a degree more than what we would have seen when Dipali and RK were actually talking before the audience. So possibility exists that Rishabh Kundra could have added a bit more of evil potency into Dips Bhatia and a bit more of gullibility and nervous trepidation and inner fears. Its all his thoughts. So far whatever Rishabh has shown us of his mind are all his deliberating thoughts on past events through flashbacks.
The viewers can actually reserve the benefit of doubt that things are not what Rishabh Kundra makes them of. And that also causes us to provide extreme emotional response to his self-ordained significance to his thoughts. We all had our rants at the amount of suspense we had to wait and watch the skewed weakness and viciousness of two characters.
The Beautiful scenes of the Day
The two most beautiful scenes of the day has fortunately and unfortunately Dips Bhatia in them. In the present happening event, a stronger Madhu lashes out at Dipali, in not just demanding demeanour, but being authoritative and warning in all dignified command. And in the past flashback scene we have a weak Rishabh Kundra who almost collected a tear and could not complete his threat to Dipali of ousting her out of his room; and instead he himself leaves his room, his house and his commitments to retreat into the solace of his cave to lick his wounds. Where in one scene we have simmering humiliated Dipali, in the other we have a victorious Dipali gloating and smirking.
The entertaining elements of the episode were of course Bhatias and the three bodyguards. Thoroughly enjoyed in an otherwise heavy doze episode. Enjoyed how the security personnel exposed Dips. I loved. But then I was mad at Radunce relieving them of their duty. What right she had to call off the services ??
The characters of the Day : Have been Madhu and RK.
I already expressed in my previous review. What I wanted to tell further on RK was that though I was upset at his breakdown of composure before Dipali, with those tear-filled eyes, the tear itself today tells me how much he feels from his heart that he is jinxed never to have love in his life. Once Bittuji asked why his Chief is afraid to accept happiness that comes at his doorstep. There was one reason that he cannot afford to lose himself in happiness when he is literally walks on a ground all covered by land mines (in the form of his family) and today we have another reason, that he personally feels jinxed and this negativity and pessimism won't leave him.
Rishabh and his fight with his demons
The tear in his Eye not only expressed his inner pain at his belief that he is jinxed, a belief stemming out by obeying the Lord of Dark Forces who happens to say that it is natural for not everyone to have a "mukkammal jahaan" and he is that case who is destined to have everything except what he craves for, which is love. The tear in his eye also expressed his rising anger at the coercion to believe that he is jinxed and off he sets off to prove it wrong. What Rishabh does not understand that his salvation is not in talking and heeding to the dark lord, but in avoiding it, in learning to be calm in face of its smooth tongue. However, trying to accept a challenge from the Satan and proving him wrong is sometimes called going closer to God, an act of faith to fanatical limits. May be in this manner, he will strengthen his stunted personality on emotional resolutions and responses in acceptable and moderate manner as an average adult capable of expression of his feelings without the fear of losing.

Am I the only one who is not too upset with the way the story went?
What do we expect from a woman like Dipali? She knows that she has lost the battle' Madhu's faith in RK and their relationship is getting stronger each day. Yesterday when I saw Dipali not getting agitated with RK being lost in Madhu's world it was clear she was going for the kill. She wanted a moment like that to strike and the moment was perfect. Dipali is smart, though she maintained that Madhu doesn't love him the emphasis was more on RK not being fortunate enough to find love.
I didn't find RK's insecurity out of place. It is obvious he will be on guard especially after he has been let down by 3 people he loved... worse the 2 of the 3 are very much a part of his life. Another reason is his history with Madhu. Their story is no fairy tale! I still don't understand how easy was it for the couple to brush the past under the carpet and behave as if everything in their world is perfect. They need to sort their past for peace in their relationship.
From what I could make out of RK's reactions... I don't think he will accept the challenge and put Madhu to test to prove it to Dipali. But yes, he needs to strengthen his belief that Madhu is there for him. Being with a guy like RK is never going to be easy and no one understands it better than Madhu. He is broken man... it will take a while for him to heal completely and come around... though he is making a remarkable progress. Their love will give her strength to see this through.
I have a lot of faith in Rishab's ability to love and trust. The fact that he has allowed himself to trust Madhu and has the guts to accept that he loves her hours after being told he is not destined to be loved is commendable. It gives me the confidence that he values love above all. However this time around the need to know it will last for eternity is palpable. It is perfectly fine to expect your soulmate to hold your hand and assure you she is always going to be there. This is all that RK is craving for and there is no reason why Madhu will not do it

"Sitaron ke aagey jahan aur bhi hai, Ishq mein imtihan aur bhi hai"
It was quite an amazing episode with RK-Dipali's convo being the highlight..
Dipali was too good with her mashkari that it looked like RK was talking with the Rishabh... Aaj Dipali was such a shaatir khiladi ki mere zubaan se sirf ek hi baat nikalti hai "kya baat ,kya baat, kya baat!!"
As she said, she had nothing to win and nothing to lose and she hit the bulls eye today...
She slowly but tactfully brought out the Rishabh out of RK...It was the loser Rishabh standing there in front of her and answering her.
She reminded him of the curse of love in his life.. Only he talks about his wounds, he doesn't even let Madhu address those wounds... But here DIpali brought them completely out in the open thus exposing the vulnerable, weak Rishabh. She never lied today. She cleverly said that Madhu does a sachcha wala pyar with RK... Dipali then tells him to prove their love and needles him saying that are you scared that you would be proven wrong like every other time to which he replies that "Is baar nahin haroonga main". RK kabhi haarta nahin hai par Rishabh is a loser..
In all this, it is not that he doubts Madhu's love for him. RK knows that what Dipali said about him was true... This ishq ka imtihan is Rishabh's inner most desire/craving which he wants fulfilled and RK's dimaagi sach that he wants be proven wrong which would lead to his junoon...
The CV's are back to portraying the true grey-shaded nature of RK...
Am actually excited as to what the future is going to unravel to us...
Aside: I loved Dipali's dialogues today and RK-Dipz scene was just too awesome...

on RK insecurities
Thought a good night's sleep would help me to review last night's episode with a fresh perspective. Don't know...so am thinking aloud.
I agree with all that has been said about RK's past, his deep insecurities etc etc. But I still maintain it is totally out of character for him to take on Dipali. I am trying very hard to understand why he does this.
His character has been built up so carefully over the past few months...so we get an arrogant, intelligent, creative, superstar, and we also get an emotionally vulnerable, emotionally needy, loving, funny, lovable, intuitive man. He is shown to be so intelligent that he understands the unsaid nuances of every situation (something that his wife never does).
He has a past, an ugly past, tragic past, but he has emerged a survivor, and commands the love, adulation and respect of the masses. His minions tremble before him, his step family hates him and he hates them, he loves his mother, but is indifferent to her. Now it gets murkier, he hates Dipali, but is not indifferent to her!!
Yes, Dipali worked on his insecurities, but he has his intelligence right? His keen insight helped him forgive a person who had tried to kill him thrice!!! That night, the pooja night, he goaded Madhu to talk about her past, because he wanted to gauge the person Malik was, and Madhu's relationship with him. His mind was working constantly, trying to assimilate his discovery, and to formulate a response. He let go of Malik because he did'nt want to see Madhu hurt. But he also grudgingly accepted Malik for the man he was, and understood his motivations.
Cut to Dipali...he knows she works on his insecurities, because they were once a couple. She knows his weaknesses, but RK knows her character just as well. Last week, she tried to poison his wife, and this week she questions the integrity of his wife. Logically, he should be able to see through her challenge for what it is.
Personally, I cannot reconcile the character he was in the past few months to the person he turned out to be yesterday. Unless he loved Dipali, really loved her at one point.
AS I'm writing, i 'm thinking he needs to reach a level where he admits to himself that what he had with Dipali was not love at all. That is when she will not have the power to hurt him.
If he continues to get this affected by her, CVs, please return his first and only love back to him. And let Madhu off the hook. Anyway, he is her jhoot moot ka pati, so cut the losses and move on.
This track has to be a short one...or else I will switch off for a while, not that my viewing or not viewing will shake up TRPs or anything, but I'm just saying.

on RK Insecurities
For RK to embrace the feeling of love without any fear, inhibition, insecurity, etc all his past wounds need to be healed. He has kept all of his wounds conveniently closed and doesn't let anyone touch it. And we all know that Madhu's love shall be the marham for his ghaav. But marham lagaane ke liye, the wounds have to be opened up which is what we saw today.
I read somewhere in this thread that the CV's are going the cliched way of third angle/party creating MU but, who better than Dipz can reopen his wounds?... The wounds are all Rishabh's and it is only Dipz who knows Rishabh the best. And she did quite a good job of it----Jad se hila diya so that Madhu can sow it once more and nurture it properly...
We all know RK once said "RK se pyaar karna hai toh aag ka dariya hai, doob je jaana hai and main us kinare mein tumhara intezaar kar raha hoon" --- at every point she will have to go through a hell lotta pain, hurt and imtihaan...
But as Madhu slowly keeps moving towards the kinara, he shall be healed slowly. It is going to be a painstaking process for him and more so for Madhu as he has been harboring those wounds for years together.. Madhu who thinks of love as a warm, nice, happy-wala feeling is going to be brutally shattered when she learns of his definition of love but the girl is a fighter and she will not give up!
And then there is that separation fear per his song:
"Tu hai sirf meri, phir bhi na jaane, mujhe tu yeh bata dooriyan hai kyun darmiyaan"
She shall always be his and he shall never let her go away from him but yet he is asking why there is dooriyan between them-- Its going to be complicated with the pain he is going to inflict on her
It will hurt Madhu a lot but her hurt will also hurt him as he is madly in love with her.. Come what may, he shall always be the karaar in her bekaraari
And moreover, once Madhu starts understanding his insecurities, fears, it shall become easier for her to deal with him. But for that, he has to show her a part of him.. So the confession and his demands will give her an idea of the path ahead of her. And once he realizes that she is his healer, he shall slowly start opening up making it less difficult for her...
In short, Madhu will become the sherni to protect Rishabh and RK will protect Madhu from evil forces..
RK-Madhu is like shama parwana to some extent, Madhu shall always get burnt but still she will go near him...
There is always light at the end of the tunnel peeps, so sit back and enjoy the roller-coaster drama. Most importantly , the CV's have handled the story very well till now. Despite following cliches, they have tried to handle it very differently or else have justified it with strong reasons... So have faith in CV's...
P.S: I don't really know if I have conveyed properly and coherently what I have in mind but as Preet says, it makes a lot of sense to me in my head..

on RK -Ishq and Junoon
RK was fine until he believed his relationship with Madhu is one made and fulfilled with his head but, when he realized it's starting to be dil ka Rishata all his fears and insecurities are getting better of him...he loves her and expects the same from her...RK needs to be patient and learn to be more selfless...Understand things wouldn't go exactly per his timeline...we all know Madhu does love RK but, then for instance if she doesn't,then what would RK do...?? I think that's why his is called Junoon ...his love is not independent and irrespective of her love, but,is dependent on her's...he loves her love for him more than her, at least for now...well,,,that's my pov...
Though RK is thinking of putting Madhu's love to test...I feel its going to be more of his test...of how much he can give in his love rather than demand especially after her refusal to his offer...its going to be like Ganapathi track...he would not get what he wants but,he would have to overcome the disappointment ,understand her situation rationally and accept her(with all her many weaknesses) with the sheer strength of his Love... its going to be a battle of his fears, needs Vs his love...I feel cv's wanted to bring in this conflict...but,I didn't like the way they chose for this...i.e. through Deepali...it would have been far better if they showed RK himself went into introspection and came up with the idea of imtehaan...Even Pads moving out also seems to be for this purpose so that Madhu would refuse and we would get a rift...It all looked forced...but,would ignore and try to focus on how both RK and Madhu clear the thorns in their way to reach their soul mates ...

Hima,
Excellent !
Your first para in context of today's episode now explains why RK sings his part as "Tera Ishq hi mera junoon" I always was questioning why doesn't he sing Mera Ishq hi mera junoon..as in why his obsession doesn't seem the regular kind of obsession. Now today's episode explains it. He needs Madhu to love him and that is always going to be his obsession. And which means he needs to create conducive environment for her to love him. Be it his revelation of himself for that reason when he obsessively protective about it. So he can lose himself, hurt himself in order to make her love him and this is his obsession in all his need. And because this is so convoluted kind that it becomes "Bekaraar kahe ya karaar"
Your second para ...Yes most are upset and ranting because the seeming faux paus for either of them in their interactions has been far too contrived...plot clunkiness. However if this track disposes off Dipali and RK equation permanently, then I am all for it.

Just caught up with 3 weeks episodes after coming back from India trip !! So much has happened in this story.
Watched today's episode and can understand everyone's rant. But I found it very interesting and fascinating.
"Vinasha Kale Vipareetha Buddhi" -
When times are bad, your sense abandons you. That's what happened today to RK. We wanted RK to be above board, but men/women are rarely so, especially the great ones are also seriously flawed.
Nothing to do with this story, but it brought to my mind "Mahabharata" &"Ramayana" , it is such an amazing chronicle of great men and their weaknesses and the consequences.
Kunti - she's great Dharmic queen, but abandons her child Karna
Karna - He's Dhana, Veera but his weakness is his birth, so eternally grateful to Duryodhana for giving him stature so aids Duryodhana in all his plans
Bheeshma, Drona - Great men but keep quiet during Draupadi vastraharan
Duryodhana - Great warrior but jealousy destroys him and the whole Kuru dynasty
Kaikeyi - Loved Rama like her son but listened to Manthara.
And of course Lord Rama himself, testing his wife at the talk of a Dhobi. Was he less great because he did it??
It's fascinating play of Free Will vs Fate. Everyone has free will to act, but sometimes fate makes your mind take wrong decisions, totally against your character or what you stand for.
The RK who believed Madhu in Malik case was not vulnerable and so thinks with a clear mind and hence his absolute trust in Madhu.
The RK who listens to Dipali - is vulnerable and afraid of this new found love. This fear drives him to test Madhu. It's irrational but I find it very believable.
It's such a mystery how human mind acts, that too totally out of character making strong people weak and sensible people act stupid.

lovely post . i wanted to say the same thing that even Gods never had a perfect life ! Rama was cursed to live separately with his wife..he was cursed that his raaj paath will be taken away and when he will get it back, he will lose his wife ! he was THE perfect man with the perfect kundali..his and Sita's kundali had 36 gunas matching but they never had a good married life ! that way Dips ka kathan was correct..i remember someone somewhere predicted that Aamir khan's family life will always be turbulent..he will get everything in this world but not a peaceful personal life...
even if Madhu fails in the test or whateva, bhagwan ke liye , Rishabh, plz Madhu ko apna ishq aur junoon maankar apne saath rakhna...koi pyar hota hai aisa which is reciprocated but woh bhi pyar hota hai which is one sided..when he didn't let her go away when he hated her, he should not let go of her when he loves her.

Wah I really liked your post! You know, I had been thinking along the same lines vis-a-vis Sri Ram. I am not saying that RK could be compared to Sri Ram - dharm was woven warp and weft into Ramji's soul whereas RK is an aam insaan struggling with all that that entails. But just look how these archetypes thread through our stories, hai na? We have a gracious plenty of treacherous poisonous types to choose from: Shakuni Mama, Manthara, Duryodhan and Dushasan, Marich, Surpnakha, Ravan - and that's just from the two epic itihasas! In so many ways, and in spite of their lighter saas-bahu side, so many of our soaps are still working through our ancient themes, MEIEJ being no exception. Already we have the issues of step-siblings and parents, remarriage, loss and regaining of faith, patni- and pati-dharm, and, today, the petty insecurities which, given enough scope and encouragement, grow into the most dangerous of acts.
But this soap is becoming almost Shakespearean! The CV's seem to have bottomless appetite for the tragic flaw. Everyone acts while in the jaws of whatever rasa is motivating them at the moment; there does not seem to be a lot of clear-headed introspection and evaluation. Everyone is in pain; everyone misunderstands everyone; everyone is ready to believe the most foolish things before hearing the truth of them from the people who could best explain. No wonder the viewers are frustrated! If you start a complex love story with the decision a priori that the protagonists must be forcefully and repeatedly separated, and that too at the hands of the most adharmic creatures mild pens could describe, you will definitely create an audience of nail-biting, tension-plagued pessimists. We have been conditioned to expect the worst; it seems now they are willing to give it. Hai Ram.
