It is Sultan's wife's Death Anniversary...Its Day of Holika-Dahan.
Events of the episode
- Sultan has a dream, a memory of a woman screaming with screeching car tyres sounds. Sultan wakes up all in sweat. It is Sultan's wife. Sultan gets up and goes to watch Aryan, who is sleeping peacefully. Next morning, early in the dawn, Sultan, Aryan and kaaka are going out with Pooja ki Thaal. We are shown them approaching a temple where a priest is already waiting with all preparations for the pooja. We are shown that pooja is the shraadh ceremony for Sultan's wife. When during the ceremony karpur is needed, Sultan makes Aryan get it for him. This is basically him showing to Aryan and us that he is treating his son like any other normal kid, making them participate in pooja/task. Although Kaaka feels bad, but Ayran doing it with Pandit being indifferent was good to watch.
- When they return, they see that Police is on patrol at the Chawl and asking people some questions. Sultan hides with Aryan and Kaaka. Madhu is overly concerned and tries to warn kaaka on his cell upon finding that they are not in the apt. Sultandoes not pick up the phone, chides Kaaka for giving his number to Madhu and switches off the cell phone, and tells him that he will get him a new SIM number. When Police leave, they enter the chawl compound. Madhu follows them, keeps asking them where they were, why they were not picking up the phone, until Sultan silences her that he need not answer her and when Aryan asks her not to get angry informing that they were busy in shraadh pooja of his mother.
- Towards the evening, Madhu invites kaaka to pooja, indirectly asking Sultan to send Aryan for pooja. Sultan agrees, asks Aryan to change his dress. He watches the pooja from afar, watches Madhu and Aryan together, remembers his wife, how she liked Holi with herself being full of spirit with all vibrant colors. At the end of Pooja, while taking Aryan from Madhu, Sultan shares about all of this to Madhu and the reason why he is in India now...he had come back to India to show Aryan Holi as his wife liked Holi.
- Bhujang some how miraculously made his men trace the "Shraadh" Pandit on Holika Dahan day, gets the information that Sultan was there to perform Shraadh Pooja. Towards night his men also collect the information that Sultan is hiding in Dada Saheb Phalke Chawl. They plan to end him on Holi day.
- Rishabh Kundra is back to Mumbai from US.

Didn't you all get the feeling that Rishabh Kundra is going to be accused by Madhu & Co. for trying to kill/hurt Sultan, as Madhu knows he is jealous of Sultan and she does not know about Bhujang...
Seems Holi is going to one big cauldron of smoking liquids of all colors for some...So Bhujang is just there to ruin the game for Rishabh Kundra...Bore...No add on for entertainment...
Anyways...Seems Bhujang, Sultan and his wife's death on Holika dahan day seems all linked together. That's why Bhujang some how miraculously made his men trace the "Shraadh" Pandit on this day.
Sultan is going to remember his wife looking at Madhu during entire Holi sequence because his wife liked Holi and he had come back to India to show Aryan Holi. And Audience ka Dil jalega.
And the way Rishabh Kundra has declared before his mom, that he is going to play Holi with her Bahu, he seems to be under the impression that Radhaji will be happy to know that he has said ot aloud about his feelings for Madhu. He does not know yet that his mother has been the shown the door, shown the reality that Madhu has moved on by Padmini. He is definitely living under an illusion...Question...Has Bittuji informed him of Sultan...Seems NOPE.
When during the ceremony karpur is needed, Sultan makes Aryan get it for him. This is basically him showing to Aryan and us that he is treating his son like any other normal kid, making kids participate in pooja/task. Although Kaaka feels bad, but Ayran doing it with Pandit being indifferent was good to watch.

It doesn't look like Sultan and Co. are hiding for safety. They are roaming around araam se like they are on a vacation. And Sultan's wardrobe is still intact. If I am to assume that Kaka went to the market and picked up change of clothes also, then he was very particular about Sultan's silk, short-sleeved, asymmetrical-collared shirts. When rivals and presumably police are after their life, they probably should maintain a little bit more caution. Of course, mingling helps, but not when you stand out too much. Not Sultan's blue eyes, no offense, but Aryan's condition is their biggest identifier.
Bhujang's men are some of the most efficient people I've seen on MEIEJ after Bittoo ji. They grabbed the Pandit like they had a premonition about the 'havan', which temple to go to and which Pandit to talk to. Or maybe Bhujang knows about Sultan and his wife a little more than we assume him to. But locating Dada Sahab Phalke Chawl, now that was fast. Bhujang plans an attack on the day of Holi. I shudder to think how much of an unwarranted and exorbitant amount of danger Madhu's family is going to be in. Bhujang is no Balraj. He is not going to tie them to the pillars and have a dance party. He'll kill anyone who comes in the way. My only complain is, his den looks like a storage unit for haystacks. Otherwise, his dialogues were silky and milky as always.
I more wanted to find out what Madhu would have done, if the police really were there for Sultan and stayed back for a look around. How far would she have gone? There is a stark contrast between this Madhu who is protecting Sultan, a known gangster from getting captured by the police and the Madhu from the past who fought tooth and nails to get RK arrested and rot in jail for his hit and run. I won't comment on what's right and wrong, because who am I to be the judge of right and wrong? But why Sultan is a candidate for the free pass in Madhu's eyes and RK wasn't? Because Sultan is a father? But he has consciously killed people, in cold blood. He doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger or draw the knife out. Killing people, even if they are the worst and evil, at the end of the day means killing them and ending a life. So what makes it okay in Madhu's mind? What humanizes Sultan so much in Madhu's eyes, that too in this short interval of time? If its only because of Aryan, then I will say, RK was someone's son too. There was someone waiting for him too who would have lost everything if he didn't come home. Of course we didn't know about Radha ji back then, but neither did Madhu.
Madhu's last dialogue to Sultan, about letting the colors back in life, that's like Bollywood code for letting love back in. Yes I don't see any obvious signs. But I feel the nudge and see the snares creeping in.
RK came back to India in his pink-purple-ish coat. And in the precap, as dashing as he may have looked in a white kurta and that blue scarf around the neck, what in the name of God was he saying? Yes I get it, very romantic and very much like RK, but why can't he sit back, take a moment and think.

Filler episode...all getting set for the dhamakedaar holi sequence.
Sultan and family conduct the shradh for his wife. While they are away, police come to the chawl. Now we don't know why come to the chawl,but apni Madhu presumes it is for Sultan, tries desperately to contact Kaka. Police leave, Sultan returns. Madhu hounds them about the police, why did'nt they take her call??! Aryan explains ...Sultan glares. SHe tries to apologise, but he asks her to leave. Only person so far in the serial who is able to send her off in the middle of her gyaan bhaashan. Looks like RK's missing her gyaan, he's back in Mumbai. Just before he enters the house, Bhabhiji, Mummyji are all worried. Apparently, even the production crew did'nt have a clue about RK. Feel so sorry for the PH of Dard-E-Ishq...Amreeka main bhi packup??!! yeh picture kaise banega??
In the meantime, Bhujang has traced the panditji who conducted the shradh. His truly efficient team (

Madhu invites Aryan for Holi pooja, Sultan agrees. Aryan is very happy, sits with Madhu throughout,Sultan watches them. he's getting mesmerized by MB'S mesmerizing beauty

Guys, she's being nice. Notice her eyes? They're dead, but when she looks at RK, notice any difference in her look?? No chemistry here, but to worry is chemistry between Aryan and Madhu.

I was going to write one para on those white kurtas - was wondering whether Kaka is responsible for shopping for those...the Sultan family looked good. I liked Sultan asking Aryan to get the karpur during the ceremony (giving the little guy a small task to do, gives him a sense of responsibility. Nice parental gesture.)
The Gangster Chronicles continue. Bhujang's super efficient network has arm twisted the priest, and quickly identified where Sultan is. Loved Bhujang's satisfied "Uttam, atti uttam" dialogues. But he's clearly a superstitious man - doesn't want to kill Sultan that day and tick off the goddess Holika.
Sultan watching Madhu cuddling Aryan. Madhu asking Sultan to let color back into his life. Careful Madhu, that sounds like one heck of an invitation to a lonely guy. I thought that said lonely guy was giving her puppy dog-like looks as she walked up the stairs.
I could have written a full page on the precap - RK, RK... [dancing]
Going to be an interesting Holi for sure at the chawl...[lol]

My review/rant/rave today has two parts:
The Rational part:
noticed -
- Bhujang's scarily mesmerizing eyes, like those of Kaa the snake in Jungle book.
-Sultan's bod, oozing charisma in that asymmetrical thingie.
- how utterly repelling Madhubala has become when she goes hyper protecting Gangster and co. Right now, I hate Madhu's character.
- how cute Aryan is.
- what a good parent Sultan is. If I were Aryan's parent, I would do the same - treat him like a normal boy and expect him to fetch and carry for the parent. Kudos, Sultan!
-how blindingly jarring our RK Bhai's purple jacket was even in that insanely coloured house.
- that a triangle is slowly building, from Sultan's side. We're going to have one insane guy obsessing about Madhu, and one insanely dangerous guy longing for her to complete his family.
The irrational part:
- drooled at RK in the precap
- laughed out loud at his cool presumption of the first Holi with Madhu and at the confused/hairaan looks Rji and Bji gave each other
- rewound the precap part and watched it again, and again - gave me a terrific laugh. Do you really know anyone else who can spout such lines with a straight face and get away with it. VD/RK, kudos!

While police was there in chawl, she was worried for Sultu n Co.? Really? Why? Answer is simple...for Aryan? Aryan ki koi galti nahi hai!!!
Inviting Sultu n Co. for Holika, insisting him in getting the trust n love back in life...what are you going girl? Have you started developing feelings for that man? for sake of motherless kid? You are not a small child to understand that whatever you have done till now and doing right now is making him fall for you? Don't you understand simple facts?

Shirley MacLaine's movie suits the best. I recommend it for you.
Actually Madhu was looking for what Louisa was aspiring in her life...a simple life in barn with kids around her and a doting husband. She rejects Millionaire Rob Crawley, goes around the world; and finally having seen enough of craziness in her life with her pursuit of idealistic dream (of loving simple life) ; she meets up janitor Rob Crawley working for the shrink whom Louisa is narrating her problems. They marry and she gets the life she desired...aka...the one RK showed to Madhu and we saw in the Village Trip.
Idyillic...and yet funny but apt for Madhu.
I think guys...its time we stopped taking Madhu seriously. Our problem is that we somehow have caged ourselves in thinking Madhu is expected to do righteous things...whereas writers take a dig at us. They say she is flawed and is self-righteous and we can laugh at her just like we laugh at RK Kameena. But somewhere, we forgot to laugh at her, inspite of asking all the right questions about her, I admit, I did not want to get into unpleasant conversations with Madhu-fans.
But I guess, I was wrong, we just needed to laugh and easily we would have slipped into entertainment mode. I can't believe that I myself was tempted to think that Madhu would have sense. Seriously !! of me.

RK is supposed to be Self proclaimed Mean Man (Righ Kameena) whom Madhu the Self-Righteous needs to teach few lessons. So obviously its going to be a See-Saw Game.
I think...the thread...is alive with humour today...just girls, take care to keep yourself disconnected of Madhu emotionally...that would allow you to be not pungent.
I think like Soundarya says...we should watch MEIEJ only for Entertainment and we the Audience are going to be Saga-Sambandhi of only those who provide us Entertainment.Period.
